Has cuddling helped in other areas?

edited July 2018 in General

Do you find that you've grown in other areas of your life due through cuddling?

Sometimes people have mentioned things like feeling more empowered to say yes or no to things, or being more confident around the opposite sex, or being more aware of consent, or having an improved body image.

Too soon to know for sure but...
I'm starting to communicate my needs, at home, which I needed to do.
I'm starting to be comfortable with the doubts I've had about cuddling with someone outside of the house.
Its given me joy, that is completely independent of any life drama. This makes breathing, under stress, easier.
It's brought a whole world of new questions (positive stuff).

  • I have grown by not being such a spontaneous person and slow life down enough to appreciate the simple things of life
It makes me feel in more control and communicate my needs with confidence.

  • Cuddling has helped my marriage. It provides me with more Comfort, a positive means of some of my needs being met and a better understanding of what's important to me. This is self care for me and my soul. If I didn't do this, I will be in a marriage void. Change needs to happen, might as well start with me,

I would have to say it has helped my to understand my boundaries better, and to help heal some trauma around touch. The Cuddlist I saw was a really kind soul with the ability to really let you sink in and feel safe. I feel like it's really helped me rewire some old traumas around touch and pleasure in a safe, pleasurable environment where the existence of platonic boundaries was key.
