that's why it is so important to be more aware & stronger than our weakest moments...
some only see us as they want us to be, not as we are ...

Honesty may be the best policy, but by process of elimination, dishonesty is the second best policy.

    George Carlin

  • "In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: when did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in silence?"

  • 'The Woman who has Herself'

    When a woman has herself
you can enter or leave her life
you can flatter or judge her
and she, she will receive or say goodbye to you kindly
and she will thank you and understand your shadows
    because she already knows hers.
You probably won't tolerate it and at the same time
you want to own it and you will end up walking away
from her if you don't have the courage to respect her.
    When a woman has herself
the Universe Dances at her feet, and She rises.
    She becomes compassionate.
    She chooses.
    She is aware.
    She gives and receives Love.
It is easy to recognize it.
    The woman who has herself
she smiles in the sun as in the storm.
She celebrates life and understands death.
She lives and dances the processes.
    She doesn't have a hue, she's a rainbow.

  • ..and then someone turned on the lights

  • Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.

"A strong person is one who is quiet and sheds tears for a moment, and then picks up her sword and fights again "

    -Xena, Warrior Princess

  • some say a strong man does not cry,
they obviously have not sat and watched their partner of 50 years die.

  • “ We meet no ordinary people in our lives.” – C.S. Lewis

  • I hear the song of the universe
I hear the siren call of the sea
    The vibrations echo everywhere
    I hear them calling me

    It’s a very subtle sensation
    When I hear the call
You have to really pay attention
If you wish to hear it all

    At first you may wonder
About that ringing in your ears
But lose yourself in the echoes
It’s amazing what you will hear

    It’s all one big symphony
    That reverberates in your heart
Once you learn to uncover it
You’re off to a really good start

Sit a while in the silence
You’ll begin to hear what it has to say
    You’ll begin to wonder
How you knew any other way

    It’s such a vast universe
This place that we call home
    This is but one incarnation
So many other places we may roam

    Don’t discount your time here
On this third rock from our sun
You have so much left to do
    Your work has just begun

So take a few more minutes
    Before you start your day
To breathe in the song of the universe
Starting right here in our Milky Way.

    Leslie Bertrand

  • stardust, we are nothing more, nothing less.. ... would suggest listening to Willie Nelsons version..
of course he was smokin a joint while writing it ... wouldn't be Willie without his weed ...

  • "May you be surrounded by friends and
family, and if this is not your lot, may the
