One of the reasons why people argue with others is because we fail to realize that God talks to all of us as INDIVIDUALS most of the time, not as a corporate group. All of us have different personalities and are not all called to be a "Moses," "Joshua," "Esther," or "Mary." A lot of times we have expectations for others to follow "the norm," and fail to realize that those who we see as "the ugly duckling," are really a "swan" whom has not fully bloomed. Once we see that "swan" we then wonder why our lives are in chaos when theirs are (eventually) filled with peace. - Jon Reynolds
"Destroying property which can be replaced is not violence" - Nikole Hannah-Jones, commenting on the recent riots and looting. She is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter covering racial injustice for The New York Times Magazine. Presumably she is not talking about her personal property but someone else's property.
@UKGuy Agreed. "All property is theft" is sometimes argued. I guess those people would be unhappy to get up one morning, and find their house empty of property.
Hair grows back, blood is renewed, and broken bones heal ; but the owner may well be upset in the meantime.
I have a theory that political instability promotes large families, because the only reliable investment for a "retirement plan" is a large number of loyal offspring. Unfortunately, large families cause high population growth, and hence scarcity of resources, which causes instability.
