@PaulaDahla
Look at the decal on your tractor , it is on the hood , towards the front . It says I H So I’m going to say Internatioal HArvestor.
@Mark
Maybe it would be worthwhile to modify this poll to add the "I'm not voting" option, like we did in Overwhelming Response ?
@PaulaDahla f***** PREACH! YAS! As I said before. It feels like people just forget how to be a friend.
Also on the note of past creepy messages, "If you're cold I would like to cuddle you but I don't know if your hubby would like that lol." Like... What? What do you mean by this? As I said in my profile, my husband knows I am here and that I am here for platonic friendship. What do you plan that he might not like?
Thank you @PaulaDahla for the helpful ideas. I naively joined a week or two ago in search of a no-strings-attached hug. That's it, a hug. No more than 30-seconds of a woman's time to help my inner balance. Alas, the ills of society have infiltrated and barriers to entry - well, the barriers to participation - have formed. Longer duration cuddles inherently envolve a broader scope of "contact" - physical, mental, emotional, etc. - and common understanding (social intelligence?). Some of us need remedial experiences and training.
So Mark just added the "I'm not voting option"
I summarized the results up to now above - the old results may not be valid - we'll see
Sure, the types of unwelcome messages described by women on here won't get a response. That's obvious to anyone with a brain. But sending a nice, polite, non-pushy, well-punctuated message won't guarantee a reply either. The ratio of men to women on this site means that the vast majority of guys won't get a response no matter what kind of message they send. And there is no magic formula to composing a message that will help.
@ukguy unfortunately I believe the statistics back you up on that; but I want to say DON'T stop doing it the right way just because it feels fruitless. I've talked with you privately and you really are an amazing man, you know I'd have no problem cuddling you if we were closer.
There is no magic formula which is why just being able to craft a sentence is already a prize. Women in general don't appreciate being treated like we are on a hookup site I don't care what her age is. If we wanted that we would be on a hook up site not here.
Really ~~ just be willing to be open and honest and you should be able to eventually find a willing cuddler. I get turned down also, a few new men in my area have registered but they are either ones I've sent here who were trying to "hook up" with me or they haven't chosen to respond to me. None of the hook up ones have been back which is fine with me.
@ChronicPlatonic perfect advice honestly. A very good rule of thumb for life in general actually. @Rexagon wow, you bring up a valid point. Some people probably really can't fit extended hugs into their schedule and they are probably the ones who could use it the most. That is honestly a bit short...30 seconds? We as women would like to get something out of it also. But maybe shorter, sessions are an option. I like it actually; a fully clothed, excuse me, normally clothed cuddle break. Meet for 15 minutes, just hug on each other like a long missed friend, smile till your cheeks hurt then go back about your day. That sounds like a better 15 minute coffee break then doing laps around the office or sitting for soda and a snack!! A lovely idea, especially if you two live or work close enough to be able to get there and back within a half hour or hours time. That might not work in suburban or metro areas but if you are around an urban area, with lots of population, easy movement, and high density housing or office spaces that could work. Get the physical exercise of walking to the spot, the emotional workout from the cuddle and all systems go!
I did vote again now that it was revised. My first choice is still the one I'll stick with but today I did chose #2. Even though I received an overwhelming response none of it was local, no potential cuddles. That was very disappointing for me. Well I had two from out west but neither actually showed up for the cuddle.
