Lots of Cuddlers mislabeling themselves...

Hi there. So, I've been on this site for a while now, looking for a local, mutually agreeable, non-professional, cuddle-friend.

What I've determined is that while in theory, this site is potentially a place to find that. Most of the female traffic on here (at least in my neck of the woods) is comprised of Pro-Cuddlers or, Pro-Cuddlers (erroneously or intentionally) creating a non-professional account (new members).

In essence, this site isn't a great site to find like-minded non-professional members of the opposite sex just needing to cuddle without actually wanting / seeking a relationship.

Anyone else running into this issue?

If you read the forum threads, you will find many, many, many complaints about this. Non-pro women don't generally last on here. They get inundated with messages, not all of which are platonic in nature. Or they connect with peeps and get groped, propositioned, etc. I've been connected to a number of women who just end up feeling unsafe, feel that the site isn't as advertised (platonic), and leave. So you're left with the ones who have figured out how to screen and who have the patience for all that. That's my take watching it for a while. I'm sure others have their theories about why the percentages are so disparate. If my first experience hadn't been so swimmingly awesome (thanks @brotothenight17 ), but instead disrespectful, I probably would have also dropped it like a hot potato.

I dont have that problem and I live in AL, not exactly a major metro area where you would expect to find more cuddlers

yes, almost everyone runs into this issue. Apparently not pmvines , for whatever reason, but yeah, in general if a female non-pro replies she’s probably either a prostitute or she meant to create a pro account.

Oh, and @CuddlemeKev if you run across any people charging money who aren't officially registered on here as pros, pretty please please report them so that the moderators can weed out those folks who break the rules and compromise the integrity of the site.

That's because this site doesn't approve cuddlers and/or doesn't respond to multiple messages when you contact them. I let everyone know I'm a pro cuddler when they contact me because I don't want to mislead them but I applied haven't heard back yet they used my picture to advertise I was a cuddler that someone in my area should cuddle with. So the site is benefiting off having me on here but refusing to acknowledge my application. I messaged them asking for an update and haven't even gotten a generic email back.

@MissAlwaysMe Actually you have to be approved first as a pro and go through that process in order to be able to charge and call yourself a pro. As for your pic being used under the heading of people to cuddle with, that does not mean your are being advertised as a pro. It just means you are showing up in the search bar as someone who is in a particular area or someone who meets that persons search criteria. Your pic may even show up online when the site is googled, I have seen several pics and usernames of people I know when googling the site or googling cuddling . However it still doesnt mean you are being advertised as being a pro.

When the site first started it was a great place to meet non pros but now everybody wants to be a pro and sometimes instantly they come right on the site demanding money lol thank god i would never pay to cuddle.

Non Pro's never respond. In fact, I think they are all fake profiles or scammers.

It takes time to connect with enthusiasts. Give yourself the gift of patience and healthy skepticism. As others have said and repeated: report the charging non-pros, that's a no-no.

@CuddlemeKev My belief in the laws of attraction are what keep me here. I'm not quite where I want to be with all of this but I view the odds that you have pointed out as being a plus. If I can attract non-pro cuddle buddies here, I can do it anywhere and what better place to practice this art but in a male-dominated pay for play environment. I've had 4 or 5 rewrites to my profile with the help of other women here. With each rewrite, my traffic improves. I'm also in a very slim age bracket for this site, 65.

Your profile looks and sounds stellar. It's honest, it shows sensitivity and reflects your being here for all the right reasons. One of the best tidbits of information I've received came from @littermate. She suggested I flip my profile so that what I have to offer others is upfront and expanded, and what I expect concludes. Your's looks a little top-heavy on the expectations, and thin at the bottom on what you have to offer. However, offering a professional service to someone as part of the cuddle is a plus.

I've found for myself an increase of cuddles coming from people off-site and I attribute that to being here. Between CC cuddles, off-site cuddles, and a local bi-weekly workshop here in SoCal, I average a cuddle a week. My aim is to attract weekly free cuddles on CC only. I'm encroaching on that narrow margin slowly with progressive, developmental growth and patience.

We're all so different that whatever all this means, I'm sure dramatically different approaches can yield the same result.

Honestly I was doing ok finding compatible cuddle partners on Craigslist before the SESTA/FOSTA bill was signed. I'm hoping the powers that be will re-examine that and come up with something that avoids an "all or none" approach. Not every CL connection was a match, but I did come to know that there were many folks like us who were using that site responsibly and respectfully.

Thankfully, i've had amazing experiences with the Pro's on CC. Of course, the balance of Pro's and Non-Pro's is skewed, but there's no alternative for me at the moment. I've been walking a dry desert of single hood for quite some time, and until I hit a "fork in the road," CC will be my staple.
