She charges $300 an hour!! Who could even afford that in general. That's the highest per hour that I ever seen on here. That price is like something an escort would have.

Here is another pro that charges $240 an hour and $120 for virtual sessions.

I think that there should be a price max cap for the pros. I think $150 or $160 should be a good max for pros. What do you think @Mark?
I've also seen some pros that have their bio blank. Aren't they supposed to have that filled out?

  • I'm of the belief that based off of geographic region is how much cuddlers can charge. Victoria is in Las Vegas and the two mentioned above are in California.

  • @CrossFitNLattes
That still doesn't mean that shouldn't be a price max cap though.

  • @cuddlybear998 that's true. I do agree with you on that point. How do you block other guys on here? We've never communicated before today and yet I'm blocked from viewing your profile.

  • @CrossFitNLattes
The same way you block a female profile.

  • No price cap. People charge what they want. If it's too high, they probably won't get many people (or, let's be honest, maybe they're offering other services and will get clients because of that). 🤷‍♀️

  • If someone charges 2grand some rich douche bag will pay it just cus they can

  • Somebody charging $300 per hour is a red flag. Who pays that just for a hug? I might be tempted in a year if social distancing doesn't let up.

  • @ubergigglefritz
I agree with no price cap.

Is there a price cap for cars, hotel rooms, alcoholic drinks, paintings, watches, sports people ?

Some people simply like the idea that they are buying something expensive. That is a good way to balance the rich-poor inequality that so many people complain about, so we perhaps shouldn't insult them.

  • So because a woman knows her value and what the market can bear decides to charge $300/hr that automatically makes her services suspect to some of you? News flash, there are some members of this community who are willing and able to fork over that type of fee for legit services. And btw, just because a pro cuddler charges less, doesn’t automatically make her services more platonic. The jealousy and financial envy is astounding.

  • @Lucas_ has an excellent point. There are definitely "pros" on here doing things non-plantonic for even less than I charge. Also, I noticed both pros cited have karma so evidently there are some willing to pay more. To each their own. We're considered independent contractors so it should be left to the individual to set their prices. Too much control by the site could land them in with the mess in California that's been created by the legistlature with Uber/Lyft and other delivery drivers.

@Lucas_ If you were riding down the street and you passed several gas stations charging $3/gallon, and then eventually you passed one charging $9/gallon... would you think "Wow, that gas station really knows the value of their product, that's where I'm going to buy gas!" Or would you be like most of us and think either the owners were delusional or something fishy was going on?

That pro, Jade_Elise, is in San Diego. When I use the search function to look for pros in San Diego, I see several people charging $100, some charge a little less, some charge a little more. And then there's Jade_Elise charging $300. She doesn't stand out except for the extreme price. Why exactly would someone pay $300 to cuddle when they can get the same service for $100?

  • @SanFranResident
Many of us pay extra for branded goods than generic product. My local supermarket sells its own brand of baked beans etc. for half the price of the popular brand, but many people still buy the brand.

To use your example, there was a recent case of a particular supermarket which was selling gasoline ( in outside pumps ), cheaper than gasoline companies, as they do. One day, they had put the Diesel additive into the gasoline tank, and anyone who used it, needed new fuel injectors.

Maybe people find the lower price service isn't up to the standard they want ; and that isn't necessarily because the more expensive one "has a happy ending" or is otherwise non-platonic. A glass of coca cola costs much more in a nightclub than a café, but that doesn't mean it has cocaine in it.

Perhaps the more expensive cuddler makes enough on each session, that they can work fewer hours, and can therefore put more effort into each one. Imagine a theatre actor putting on 3 shows a day, every day, for months on end ; compared to a movie actor who spends several weeks preparing and rehearsing, for the one filmed take.

  • @geoff1000 great point! A bottle of Voss at a gas station and the same bottle at a cafe is about a $5 difference due to the overhead of the cafe. $6 at the cafe. :astonished:

  • @CrossFitNLattes
Exactly. The café provides a seat, out of the weather, and probably has toilets and maybe free wi-fi.

Some people stop at our freeway service stations, use the free bathroom, then sit in their car eating the sandwiches they brought with them ; others sit in the service station, and eat the sandwiches they bought, for 10x the cost of the makings.

  • Free market folks can charge what they want and people can either book or not . We also have freedom to.criticize it so I can get behind both sides of the argument

  • A high price, gives more opportunity to offer a discount. We can't know if a pro always charges as much as their posted rate. That may be reserved for clients who are a real chore, in order to discourage them.

  • @geoff1000 in response to your brand example... I am very involved in the legitimate cuddling industry OFF of this site. Professionals with their own website, their own "brand", their own training programs, etc. Few of those professionals are even over $100, let alone over $150. Even if the services are still platonic, I'm not sure what you would be paying more for? A hotter body? I don't know. 🤷‍♀️ I understand some of your defense though. I myself only have one client per day so I can focus on them, am available for extensions, or to handle unexpected delays, etc. That's one reason for my rates. But I keep my expenses low so I can stay as low as I can manage. Even at $100/hr, that's a LOT of money for many people and I like to stay in a range that more people can manage. I hate it when people who need the service can't afford it... 😞

  • [Deleted User]SanFranResident (deleted user)

@geoff1000 Sure, in principle there are higher end products and services that cost a lot more. But there has to be something to motivate people to spend that extra money, even if that something is just the prestige of a high end brand name. So what is it about this particular cuddler that would motivate someone to spend 3x the normal amount on her? As far as I can tell she doesn't stand out from any other cuddler. She is literally in the same list with other people charging $100/hour or even less, and I honestly can't imagine why someone would message her instead of someone else.

I've paid as low as $70/hour for a cuddle and as high as $150/hour. The $150/hour cuddle was perfectly fine, but there was nothing that stood out about it or made it any better than the $70/hour cuddle. I do not intend to pay that much again.

  • @ubergigglefritz
    @SanFranResident
I think the only useful answers would come from clients who are paying those higher rates ; but they might not give honest answers, and some people might not believe them.

It is much easier for us all to think they are offering, and their clients are receiving, some kind of dodgy non-platonic service ; but we should be careful with that assumption, because many outside the CC community think that's what goes on generally anyway. "What ? A man pays to spend time alone with a woman, and they DON'T have sex ? Yeah, sure, whatever. 😀"

It feels rather like vegetarians complaining at people eating meat, while happily eating fish, eggs, and cheese. There is always someone claiming morally higher ground.

  • I’m laughing my ass off at complaints of extortion. We’re all adults here. If you don’t like someone’s rate, don’t pay. Keep it simple.

Site mods and creators have better things to do than to babysit your fragile egos.

    @VinDin Go away.

  • edited September 2020

@SanFranResident yeah, if that more expensive gas station was incredibly gorgeous with a beautiful smile, I’d be pumping their gas in a NY minute.

  • @VinDin , @SanFranResident & @geoff1000 ~ What a nice and mature exchange of ideas that was... Good job guys!

Also ~ I gotta agree with those who just shrug the other's price points and move on. If you don't want to pay something you feel is inflated then don't. If you're swayed by the school of thought that says, "if it costs more it must be better", or you have the funds available to pay more, or a number of other reasons in favor ~ then go for it!

If it's really got you knickers in a twist, maybe try politely messaging the person and ask them why they have a rate that is higher than the average? They may just tell you...

Honestly, if I were to ever be one who charged for cuddles (a laughable idea but stick with me for a minute) I'd charge a minimum of $300 per hour for the first hour with each additional hour being $25 - and my reasoning is simple...
The amount of effort involved with communication, coordination, getting ready, travel or hosting considerations, plus blocking out enough time to be fully present with a stranger who may like to extend their session, and having to reinforce boundaries and expectations, and the paperwork/fees/taxes, etc. - To go through all that, for just an hour, is whack-a-do! There's not a chance I would do that on the regular - It would just be too exhausting! So yah - My hourly rate would totally reflect all that effort, because the beforehand work is the same whether the cuddle is only one hour or five hours... except maybe snacks - and I'd put that on the client to bring (with the offer of a free hour/$25 off if they brought enough for me).

How these pros are able to do all that they do, for just an hour's worth of payment is staggering and should be applauded! (IMHO!)

  • @quixotic_life well stated. I do find it fascinating the different ways each pro sets their rates.
There are some “price structures” that I prefer over others, but if it’s not breaking my bank and we can enjoy each others’ company well, wins all around. The diversity allows for more cuddling across the board and I think we could all agree that that’s a good thing.

    @Lucas_ gets it!!
The fact that we are even comparing this to regular goods and services like brand names or gasoline is strange to me. The value of human touch and intimacy is not even on the same level as regular goods and even some commonly accepted services.

  • How about the hourly rate being the client's gross earnings for say 5 hours of their work ? Spending more, sometimes makes us more appreciative of what we have bought ; and someone who is highly paid, paying even $300 an hour, wouldn't feel as if they should appreciate it.

  • edited September 2020

@Mike403 ~ In that case $500 for the first hour then $50 for each additional hour... and I'd have some sort of punch card system where after 5 ♡'s you get my previously stated rates, then after 10 ♡'s at that rate, all your times are averaged and you get a free session for that amount of time.

1 ♡ just for following all the rules
2 ♡'s if you were extra awesome!

Cause I'm worth it and so is my time and effort!

But all that said, I'm not charging and doubt anyone would ever be willing to pay me (no matter the amount). I'm a decent human but I'm not Pro worthy ~ In addition to how all over the place I can be (a-hem... my profile for one... lol) and my age (I still think one's arrested development should get to factor into stating an average... without the fear of backlash) I also have far too many reservations, stipulations and expectations...

So lucky day for you! ~ When me and my madness grace your doorstep all it'll cost is your time and possibly your patience because I can be a bit much (even for me sometimes)! 😉
