Is there a limit on image size when trying to send pictures through a direct message?
Every time I try to send a message with a picture taken by my phone, I get an error message saying, "Could not upload file," but no indication of why. I just assume it's a size limit but can't find anywhere that says what that limit is.

    Sometimes I've seen that. On a PC, I've seen it say the file is too big. I think the site could use some work to show a bit more information for things like that.

    Another thing I've noticed is that the help about the Markdown styling doesn't all seem to be accurate for this site. For example, with the emoji cheat sheet it links to, some of the emoji codes don't seem to work (such as :rofl: ). Also, I wasn't sure at first how to post YouTube links so the video would be playable directly on the forum.

    The max file size is 8mb. On review I did notice an issue where that limit was also being applied to the total for when several images are attached at once. So the multi-upload total is now 50mb which should help.

    Is it just a file size limit, or is there a photo resolution limit too?

    The size has a 400x400 minimum too.
