For me, very nervous !!!. My 1st was with a Pro, was not sure how or where to hug her-? I told her up front that she was my 1st. She did a great job, she pointed out the NO touch zones, LOL. we chatted a little and she showed me some different positions and we both felt so comfortable that we both dozed off for a few min's. My 1st. none Pro, went very well, it was only her 2nd time, she was more nervous then I was, but after just a few min's of twisting together like a pretzel I'm sure we looked like a big pile of laundry on the bed. I will add, the Pro, we both met at a local ice cream shop, we chatted a bit and then set a date, I have learned that most do not like to be rushed, it appears to be a RED flag. The none Pro, we chatted for over a month and then met for breakfast and did a lot of talking and she felt good enough to then go for a cuddle. I also have found that most non-pro's will not even reply back, I assume it's my age and I'm not a look alike for a Mr. Chippendales or Mr. Atlas, but I'm OK with that.

I was a little nervous, but we did a public cuddle in a movie theater (I parked in a well lit place near the theater, told a friend where I was going and to call out the Mounties if I wasn't back by a certain hour). He was super kind and sweet and it was heaven. I looked down at this lovely young man in my lap like, am I dreaming? So much endorphin action. I was walking on air for days.
I didn't know about screening then, so just risked it. We're still buddies. I couldn't have had a nice first experience. I think it so matters how one's first experience goes, especially for women. Had I had a grabby fellow, or whatever, I might have fled right there. So grateful.
Thinking back on it, I realize how much I've learned since then, especially about screening. I have a lot more confidence in my Spidey sense. These threads have really contributed to that. And there's a cool feeling being on the forum a lot that I'm part of a community, whereas when I first joined, I felt pretty alone with it. Now I feel like I have buddies and a kind of web of relatedness around my cuddlesphere. That's you guys.
@Sheriedd: Oof. Some sadists are real morons. It's one thing to inflict pain and like it—it's quite another to be so damnably, shortsightedly selfish about it! Really, it's not as though there's a shortage of masochists in the world. Why go after someone who's likely to call the cops on you? Illegitimate son of a mentally deficient walrus. Imagine running across somebody like that on your first cuddle! That's awful.
My first cuddle went pretty dang well. College student, Star Wars nerd, asexual: he was younger than me but we got on fine. We met up at the public library, I think (it's been a while), then cuddled at his place. Felt like hanging out with a brother. It was nice.
Mine was great. I met with an enthusiast, and right away felt like she was nice to hang out with. I felt great during and after the cuddle session. She couldn't stay too long for that session, and I wished she could have stayed longer after she left.
