  • Lol ~ a t-rex with a shovel!

  • edited December 2020

    @quixotic_life - Well, there was already a T-rex making a bed... or trying to anyway.

  • Yep yep yep! Not sorry I totally could have helped it and chose to quote ducky anyways ;)

  • @NightShift39 ~ "Oh, no. No, no, no."

  • I think you missed a no there @quixotic_life but my memory is iffy these days so I may be wrong lol

    Either way ~ Ducky is one of the bestest characters ever!!!

    adding: @NightShift39

  • @quixotic_life - It's pretty sad what happened to the girl who voiced Ducky (Judith Barsi). She was killed by her own father. She also voiced Anne-Marie in All Dogs Go to Heaven.

  • Oh she is indeed I just want to squish her forever!!!

  • @Mike403 ~ That should have a spoiler and warning. I had no idea. 😥

  • Yeah it's just wrong but such is the world we live in sigh

  • wud t-rex cuddle?

  • @mike403 i'm wanting to tackle that T-rex and go in for a good cuddle. Though he could use some fur. As I said, Wookiees are my first choice, so a bald T-rex is a stretch even if that fellow is looking mighty freaking cuddle-able.

  • @littermate ya know I can't lie hugging a gorilla is on my bucket list, down towards the end of course as it may well be my last mortal act lol

  • I'd be down for that @NightShift39.

  • I'll let ya know if I ever find a way it can be done ethically and safeishly lol

  • Weren't dinosaurs cloned? I thought they ran amok at an island somewhere? Oh wait, that was a book (and a movie)..

  • Sorry to be the sober realist, but evolution never started in the first place. The ingenious design of molecular machinery in the cell, as well as a complex information coding system in DNA are very clear evidence of the existence of a Designer a.k.a. the Creator God of the Bible.

  • depending on the size either pretty much nothing at all, a crater like we have in AZ or complete annhiliation,

  • No Comfy just seeing that mutations exist in Covid is evidence that incremental changes may be passed onto further generations, altering the characteristics of the organism. Evolution is a fact. A Creator/Creatrix as a designer of life

    @Comfy_Arms

    "Sorry to be the sober realist..."

    Ha. Hahaha. HAHAHA.

  • @UCpaaHVg6u0 ~ "Creatrix" ~ Nice!

    @UltimateChungus ~ 🤣😂🤣

  • edited December 2020

    @UCpaaHVg6u0 Evolution is not a fact. Time to ditch that mantra. As for "incremental changes"... here's an article about that:
    https://creation.com/antibiotic-resistance-not-evolution-in-action

    The existence of mutations is not a sufficient condition for evolution. And when I say "evolution" I don't just mean "change" in living things but an upward trend of information content in the DNA. Mutations overwhelmingly tend to destroy information.

    "creation.com"

    Do you have any sources that have nothing to do with cultists, or cults?

  • edited December 2020

    @UltimateChungus Sure, laugh and mock, but I notice you did not refute the points I made in my first post. So... can you give me an example of a complex coding system arising by natural means and where the coding symbols are not a natural property of the material they're made of. (and by natural means I mean no intelligent input and non-living components only)
    @UCpaaHVg6u0 The above question is for you too.

  • @UltimateChungus Creation.com is not associated with cultists or cults. Try debating the issues rather than attacking the people involved. Also, the article has citations you can follow up so you can read original research by evolutionists themselves.

    @Comfy_Arms - yes we were created but by aliens from another world, not by a God. Though ancient peoples interpreted the beings who came down from the sky as Gods.

  • @UKGuy what's your evidence for this? And how did the aliens come to exist?

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

    @Comfy_Arms: The thing about deities is that their existence can't be disproved. They're like the invisible dragon in my living room—can't be seen, can't be touched, can't be heard or smelled or even tasted. And they can explain anything. Is there a book on the floor? The dragon knocked it off the shelf. Is there not a book on the floor? The dragon didn't knock it off, or perhaps did and then put it back.

    Why do proteins fold? Because God made them that way. And if they didn't fold, why would that be? Because God made them that way. It explains everything, and therefore nothing.

    @Comfy_Arms

    I could, but I don't quite see the point. Your beliefs aren't based on things like facts, or reason; your position is one based entirely upon faith. And faith can't be argued against.

    Science can be iterated upon, because new things are discovered, and human knowledge grows. The principles behind any faith remain stagnant, and to the faithful, they can never fail, nor can they held be accountable for falsehoods, lies, and ignorance. It is a closed system that functions as a means to make people feel good as individuals and as groups. Faith's function in discovery isn't about expanding knowledge, but corrupting what is discovered and bending it to fit an established worldview, or to fill in gaps—for the sole benefit of those who believe.

    Things would be simpler if religious texts made actual claims about how the world works, but they don't. God can easily suspend the sun in the sky so that some dude can fight a war, or send plagues, or inhabit a burning bit of shrubbery; but telling people about germs? Informing those in Bronze Age Palestine about dentistry so that they can deal with issues resulting from having a mouth (apparently) designed to not hold all of their teeth? Letting people know in clear terms that the world is a sphere? Nah, can't be done.

    Because the people who came up with the Bible didn't know any of that stuff. And trying to jam science into religious texts, in an attempt to make them relevant in the modern world, is pathetic and absurd.

    @UltimateChungus You could, but you don't quite see the point? Hahahaha! You mean you can't, and that's why you didn't give an example.
    As for the rest of what you wrote, it is utter nonsense. My position is based on science and rational logical thinking.
    Evolutionism isn't science, it doesn't involve repeatable experiments and observation. It is story telling about the past and ANY evidence can be bent and twisted to fit into the evolutionary world view, so it doesn't explain anything.
    The bible isn't intended to be a science text book, so it wouldn't contain detailed information about germs, but it does hint at their existence and how to deal with them through the hygiene regulations it contains.
    Anyway, as is typical, I notice you evolutionists are throwing all sorts of distractions into the discussion rather than answering the question I posed.
    Give an example of a complex code arising without intelligent input but from the action of non living matter alone.
