Just curious how many times people have been tested for Covid. I just took my 40th test today according to my pharmacy.
Fortieth? How is that even possible? Don't you have to be having symptoms? Rusted like once a week since Feb!
I've not been tested at all. A friend has 3x. I know just a few who've been positive.
@jeanpierre I travel for work and my pharmacy does it weekly plus the county and state offer free testing all the time. If you had to get on a plane frequently with some of the knuckleheads out there you would be getting tested all the time too. So yeah I have had some weeks where I had two tests—once before I left and another when I return. And I am in the architectural and design industry and guess what didn’t slow down? Hotels, casinos and office buildings were remodeled across the world while everyone stayed home.
Twice and I didn't like it either time ~ Except for the results. Those coming back negative were a welcomed relief.
I was just wondering if all the mucous I donated to testing can be measured in pints by now?

None. Testing in the UK is targeted so that the laboratory capacity, which is not infinite, is used most effectively.
The main targets are those with symptoms, those who need it (e.g. medical staff) and certain other groups. There are now some mass testing programmes where everybody in a certain area is tested.
Every other week. I won’t miss it when we can finally get a break.

Twice a week, sometimes 3, every week, if I want to work. No clinics, since they are a danger.
I also re-did all my certifications, with new COVID compliance considerations.

@quixotic_life I recognize it as a necessary evil. But I recently was required to do it to travel to Hawaii where you either test negative within 5 days of flying and have the paperwork to prove it or you quarantine for 14 days. Other states say they do that but it is lip service. Hawaii will arrest you and hotels and resorts are notified if you have to quarantine. Part of the reason is you are on a very small island with limited medical facilities.

Once a week since this mess started and daily symptom checks before shift starts. We count as critical infrastructure workers and can't wfh so the policies are strictly enforced.

I’ve been tested three times, all employer-mandated tests. I’ve come back negative every time 😎 Not once have I failed my employer’s temperature check nor a temperature check elsewhere (I mostly encounter customer temperature checks at StretchLab).

I try to get tested before/after seeing someone one-on-one for an extended period of time. I've been tested several times already, and I now have likely gotten the trial vaccine (2/3 chance over the placebo).

Zero. Haven't had any reason to get tested. I've been home alone most of the time since 3/13/2020. I hardly see anyone, hardly go anywhere. Have not been able to work because of the pandemic. On the rare occasions I go out, I always wear a mask, and if others are not, I stay far away from them. Have not had any symptoms, have not been exposed to anyone who has tested positive.
Looking forward to the vaccine. Being isolated has not been good for my mental health.

Congrats to those who do not have to go out band make the decision to stay at home. This will help us get through this faster.
