What is 1 of your favorite escapes in the world? 🌎

For me my biggest escape is the movie theater 🎥 🍿 it’s sucks so much that they are closed , I even have my favorite one which is not really in the open & happens to be a regal, it is inside a building on one of the top floors & the minute you step in its like you’re in a while different world 🌎 .... the place is soo nice , clean , comfortable leather reclining seats ... add the delicious movie theater popcorn & im in heaven ... at times I would go just for the escape with no movie in mind & just hoping that whatever they’re showing is good, but in reality I’m seeking out the environment... what’s yours?

    I've become a master of Horizontal Escapism... Sleeping, cuddling, CC forums, messaging, phoning, binging watching whatever... if it can be done with my head on a pillow ~ I'm there...

    @Mmart the night sky 🌌 is a big one for me, unfortunately due to the light pollution where I live I can’t enjoy it even if I wanted to

    One of my favorite things over the years has been playing music - I enjoy playing guitar and synthesizer/piano. I've always found it to be relaxing to jam a bit - Plug into an amp or use headphones and just play whatever for a little while. I also enjoy listening to music.

    I also like to relax while checking posts online on Facebook or forums, reading the various articles I see posted sometimes, etc.

    @littermate I strongly agree! Nothing more rewarding than escaping within and from within connecting to everyone and everything!

    @Mmart @NightShift39 Yes! Nature, the night's sky and the aurora borealis (northern lights) it feeds my soul!

    @FlyingToaster Listening to and playing music is such a satisfying escape, just wish I had more people to jam with these days.

    @sage_wisdom I hear ya! Our thoughts can change our realities, literally winding and unwinding DNA. Why do you think the media primarily covers negative, fear based events instead of covering the unbiased positive and uplifting things that are happening?

    My favourite escapes: Video Games(PS4 or PC), Youtube, Music(Electronica, usually streamed from the BBC sounds app), Noise cancelling headphones(AirPods Pro)

    The ball pit at the McDonald's near my apartment. I spend at least 10 hours a day there, usually after devouring fifty nuggies. The employees know me well, and during my visits they tell other customers that the ball pit is cursed.

    @UltimateChungus I've noticed the McDonalds locations around me have been removing the ball pits, possibly as they remodel to look more mature/upscale and less like a place where only kids would really want to visit.

    @FlyingToaster not just maturity, those things are really nasty and unhygienic. Can you imagine the amount of slobber, snot , pee, dirty diapers, food, etc that gets stirred into those things? A friend worked at a McDonalds and would catch teenagers getting busy in there from time to time. Just no thanks

    Yeah they don't tend to be too vigilant in the PROPER cleaning of those things.

    Traveling to a place I've never been before. So many places to see and things to experience. My next long trip (if I have the time) is to travel and avoid interstate highways as much as possible. Sometimes it's like stepping back in time. So much more interesting than the homogeneous world we see along the interstate exits. Guess I'm just a traveling romantic at heart ❤️.

    I hear ya @tjalex before things went sideways I was working out the plan for a cross country trip on my bike.

    Theres just something about the open road, new places to see, new people to meet little out of the way diners to try. Sigh yep I miss it.

    Long walks. Long drives/travel. Art (painting, writing, crafting, except for drawing, as my skill level there is still at stick-figure stage). Music. Baking (Christmas dessert: pear cranberry cobbler. This week's 3 ingredient cake: spice cake mix, 2 eggs, and peach pie filling - with vanilla frosting).
