Pre-covid, I couldn't resist a good cigar every now and then at a cigar bar. I don't do 420 and don't like to smell it. I think people who smoke it in public are disrespectful to those around them. That's just my opinion.
Talk about stink...cigars are the worst.
@FunCartel - Depends on the cigar. You could smoke a $5 cigar or a $30 cigar. The expensive ones actually smells good.

@Mike403 I have been to the Cuban cigar houses in Ybor City in Tampa and around the US. Cigars stink. The owner of the company i work for is a cigar snob and buys cigars at cigar stores that go well beyond $30 and they still smell like crap. I have had to sit there while a bunch of them imbibed at the smoking rooms and I would rather smell an overflowing public toilet than that. That is my opinion.

@FunCartel - RIght.. We all have our opinions. I enjoy it. I only smoke them at cigar bars being surrounded by other smokers. That's different than people smoking 420 at concerts where I shouldn't have to smell that crap.
@Mike403 You are not allowed to smoke anything where i live at concerts. You can get away with vaping and that is scented. Seems like they would have similar laws in Colorado.
@FunCartel - They aren't supposed to, but people do it anyway and it's a rule that's hard to enforce with that many people.
@Mike403 You wouldn't have made it in the 70s or 80s. Not only was doobage bring consumed but cigarettes were smoked as a matter of course at concert venues. Heck, you would have joints passed down a line from people you didn’t know and you either passed it along or partook. If you threw it on the ground you were inviting a whooping. You have no idea how much cleaner the air is now days at concerts.
I was the world's worst smoker, hacking and coughing my guts out, so 420 wasn't something I ever thought was enjoyable. The game changer was vapes and the Pax3. Long live thy battery.
I have never understood some people’s prejudice against 420 when cigarettes, cigars and pipes were so prevalent and unhealthy (although pipe tobacco smells good). I think this stems from racial issues in the early 20th century and how weed was demonized as a “black” drug thereby making it bad (yes, race was behind those laws) and films depicting it in a demonic influence and inciting paranoia among people. Now those depictions are seen as comical—i.e. Reefer Madness, Dragnet, etc.
@FunCartel - I don't think anyone claims that cigars or cigarettes are any more healthy. In my opinion, it's just rude to smoke around people unless if they're smoking too. Unlike drinking, you can't keep your smoke to yourself. Everyone around you has to smell it.
@Mike403 You misconstrued my post. Historically, marijuana was demonized. I am not talking about your concert complaint. I was talking about the group think condemnation of weed that persisted for decades in the 20th century and is slowly beginning to die in recent years. As far as your complaint I think that applies to all forms of smoking. Go to Vegas—people smoke all of the above in the casinos. But I hate Vegas so they can smoke away. My friends and i smoke before concerts, not in them and the concerts i have been to have mainly smelled of mint, vanilla or some sort of fruit because most vape now days. So i would say Colorado is not even attempting to enforce the smoking laws.
@FunCartel - oh I get it. Yeah, what people do in the privacy of their own homes shouldn't be anyone else's business. I never understood why weed was outlawed.

After having been traumatized by other people’s drinking and marijuana use I only want to be around people who are sober and I honestly get anxious and uncomfortable if a client has alcohol or marijuana. I thought I read somewhere in the rules that drugs and alcohol weren’t allowed but I cannot seem to find it now.
@xandriarain - I'd be worried too if a client showed up holding a beer or a bottle of liquor. Jokes aside, alcohol impairs judgement and has no place during a platonic cuddle session.
I dont care if someone uses. I just get annoyed by "stoners ". Seems all they can talk about and can get pretty obnoxious about it too.

@pmvines 😩 theres just so much to talk about! So many strains and I love nature and agriculture and gardening and we learn more and more about it as it becomes more mainstream and backed by science
@mexican5125 well if alcohol is against the rules I think marijuana should be as well regardless of whether it's legal in that state or not.

@mexican5125 because it's hard enough to get sober clients to respect the rules and boundaries and adding mind-altering substances into the mix is dangerous. My ex used to withdrawal from weed and become angry and physically violent, my current boyfriend is a recovering alcoholic and every time he tries to "just smoke weed" he starts drinking again in a matter of weeks. Marijuana has not been good to me and the very site of it and alcohol gives me PTSD. I knew many people like you growing up who thought weed was just a harmless plant and I have seen it ruin lives and change personalities (for the worse). I used to think weed wasn't a big deal but my life experiences have taught me differently. I just think it's dangerous to get intoxicated around relative strangers especially in a context like cuddling. I can see a lot of things potentially going wrong.

Uh wow. The OP asked in his very first post of the thread for the 420 friendly people to respond. What he is getting is a lot of judging from people that are not 420 friendly people. If you do not like it keep it yo yourself and start an anti-420 thread. This is the same thing as the men responding to the “Female enthusiast only” thread. If it doesn’t apply to you, skip it and stop acting like the SNL Church Lady about it.
As far as somebody not liking someone showing up to an appointment high, i get that. But the designation is on the profile and now you know to skip that person. Use it as a screening tool, but stop with the judging.
