Why are there so few pros using the message boards?

edited May 2017 in Pro Cuddling
There doesn't seem to be many pros that use the message boards. If I search the maximum 300 miles, I count over 100 pros yet only 3 of them are active on the boards. I'm curious why this is?

  • yeah I wonder about that too.   I asked one, and she said she has a life and can't spend time on these boards....
so I guess we don't have lives.

  • I just think its interesting that there's this constant battle about rules and the sanctity of professional cuddling, yet, the battle is being fought by 1% of the pros on the site.
  • Yea I know.  Kind of ridiculous.
Well the other pros are off cuddling and living their life.  :). They don't got time for this.

  • And you seem to be doing a good job of driving away the ones that have participated.
  • @I_am_polylover the same pros who have been using the forums since I've been on the site are the same ones that are here. I don't see any pros that have driven away from the boards.
  • My point in making this thread was to show the lack of pro participation. What does this mean? Let's say that 10% of pros participate on the boards which is stretching it. Do you think the other 90% care or are even fully aware of the rules? I think it's safe to say that a large percentage of them either aren't aware or don't care about the rules. Where does this lead? It leads to many clients not caring about or having a misperceptions of the rules. It's still a two way street but a blind eye shouldn't be turned to pros that set a bad standard and all blame placed on clients. Let's be fair and realistic.

I've spoken to a few pros in the past who have told me they read forums but don't comment to not give potential clients a negative image of themselves.
  • That's smart.  Definitely makes sense.   At least some read them.  That's good to know.
  • If you guys look at the numbers, you will see that about 10 times as many members visit (read) a forum comment than actually post something in the forums. The forums are being used. I don't know how many of the visitors are pro or not. Is the atmosphere in the commentary arena very friendly? Can you post anything without someone questioning your motivation?

What we have is a very few providers speaking for the larger group. The vocal minority as it were.  This very vocal minority seems to have an over weighted influence on how this site has been run. And I know for a fact that more than a few guys have left due to the tone on the boards. Guys who actually spend money here. Guys who keep the lights on.
  • Let me make it clear that no one has an over weight influence on how this site runs. Guys who spend money do not keep the lights on. The lights were already on before any money was being received. Guys who spend money do so to get a cuddle service and if this site doesn't help, there are other for pay services out there.
  • Thank you Doc your words are much appreciated.

So you are telling me that the revenues generated by people such as me don't help to keep the lights on here?  What other revenue streams does this site have?  No advertising.  No monthly dues.  The only source of revenue (other than Mark's wallet) for this site is the commissions earned for the site whenever people such as me (customer) hire a woman to cuddle.  Unless I am missing something here (I"m not), my prior statement is correct.
  • Are you saying that you want advertising and monthly dues? Is that preferable to playing nice? You will have to ask Mark how he was funding the site before you came along, but I can confirm that it was free and working for all members. I have run sites without any external revenue sites and I am grateful for sites like this. Does someone owe you something?

Wow.  Not at all what i said. The point I was making is that the only revenue generated on this site is from the 15% commission paid on revenue paid to a pro on the site by people such as me (customer). In any business model, expenses (the lights in our example) are used to offset revenues (generated by me the customer) to reduce reportable income and ultimately, reduce your tax burden.

I have no doubt that Mark could fund all of this out of his own pocket. In fact, im sure he did in the beginning. Most businesses do.  But he does ask for a commission. So he is looking for revenue to cover or at least offset his costs for running this site. Hence my earlier statement.

Before you go and put words in my mouth, I want to say that I have no problem with Mark charging a small commission.  I think the fee is very reasonable and given his investment in this site, wholly deserved. In fact, if it were my site, i might have stricter standards in place to ensure all revenues earned are paid to the site.

As for the rest of your comments, I do play nice. Feel free to contact any of the women I have seen for a reference. But I do get a bit edgy if I think someone is bullying or insulting.   I do not think that anybody owes me anything other than the respect you would show to any customer you may have in any other business.

Anyway, enough of this. Lets get back to having fun and cuddling.

  • On the snugglebuddies they keep 50 percent of the money we pay the cuddlers.   I heard on this site it's lower only 15 percent.
The owner of that other site said it was to cover the costs of the site and administrative tasks.    It sounds like from this discussion that this site doesn't need that revenue.  I would love to be able to give all the money to the cuddlers and get rid of the 15 percent fee if it's not wanted.  Is that ok ?
I also do not like the idea of ads and monthly fees.   People would jump ship and go to cuddle companions etc.

  • @Atreides, Is Snugglebuddies and Cuddle companions still operating, there site is closed.

As a professional I do not mind paying 15%, it's the lowest of any sites up and running right now, and even services like Uber and Lyft take 20% and 25% respectively.

     15% is very fair.

I would also like to add that is the professional that is paying 15% out of her income.  Clients don't pay any percentage to this site.

A quick search on google shows both sites still on operation. And some overlap with the ladies on our site.
  • @funandadventure, Both still there. The former site uses a "the" in the url. The second site is a .org, not a .com.

    @fireand blue ,,    Cuddliest, I just saw , eliminated their commission , and charge 39.95 monthly .
Depending on how many hours you do per month, that is either higher , than this site , if you don't do any thing a month,
or very attractive , if you do even 2 hours a week at $80.00 / hour .
lets see 8 hours a month at 80.00 is 640.00
    x 15% is 96.00.   96 verses 40 , that's 50 less with cuddliest . Even more , if you clock in more hours .   Reason ? I don't know they were similar to snuggle buddies at 50%.commission

( somehow thread wandered from pro participation , to commissions , I don't think thread owner minds , )

Does the other site verify members?

I don't think any client has an issue with the 15% to the site that ultimately comes out of our pockets since pros dont hire themselves and theres actually good number of pros that either book entirely out of site (some have been caught and banned) and some that book via website for the first time but ask that you book out of site at the same rate so they can avoid the 15% fee.
  • I've had more than one professional cite the fact they pay x percent when quoting rates to me.  So yes the client does pay that fee.  All the money is coming from the client.  The professional may be the one handing it over but it's the client who pays it.
It's like when there's a new gas tax.   We pay those increases.  The gas station doesn't eat that cost.
Thats why when they go offsite they offer a discount.   But if they're not off site they will charge more.
Same thing on other sites.  Nothing new here.

  • Any way you want to look at it, the revenue the site receives from pro cuddling wouldn't happen without both pros and clients.

I will say this. I agree with @Cuddlist. Well said!

Just because I'm not active on here does not mean I don't care about this community or the platonic cuddle movement, or that I don't follow the cuddling code of rules. Nor does it mean I think my life is anymore full than anyone elses.

However sometimes it is easier to say you are too busy, living life in real life.

I'd also like to point out that not everyone who has an opinion feels the need to share it publicly. By the amount of people who view these threads, compared to how many respond should be proof.

@Alternis another great point of staying neutral.

When I first got started on here I read through forums for guidance, better understanding and methods. From the recent threads it looks like I am not the only one who saw the disrespectful, passive aggressive tones. I will continue to use the forum as a resource and appreciate the diversity in opinions, especially as long as people are being respectful while they go about sharing them.
  • Dear All I have just had an interesting conversation with a Companion about why she and her fellow companions stay away from the forums, she said it was not worth the effort putting her thoughts forward as she felt belittled and her opinions were not thought about as valid. I would like to ask some companions on here if this is the way they feel and how can it be changed, we see from the above clients opinions, are you as companions willing to express your thoughts about your forum.
    Love and peace John Auckland.NZ
  • I'm new to the site and have been doing a lot of reading on here and yes at first it's taking a lot of time to read the posts lol I didn't even know where to start!!. I don't always have a chance to get on everyday but, trust that if I have positive, valuable comments I will make them. I'm interested in getting connected with people that need the service I provide.I want to make a difference in lives one hug at a time!
  • [Deleted User]Kaiterpillar (deleted user)

Like the user above me, I do read the forums a lot, but they're typically not conversations that I feel I have something valuable to add aha!

And I haven't added one yet because well, I'm not too sure what I'd want to post haha

We are alive and here :)

  • @Kaiteroillar, Thank you for just putting up a few wards, it all helps show to the world we are a caring community.
Love and friendship John Auckland NZ.
