I have blocked people that made me feel unsafe. I didn’t want them to know information about my location however it is still very easy to get if they just create a secondary profile. But it does send a message that their behavior it’s making me feel uncomfortable.
I've blocked people who have demonstrated themselves as being insufferable or insensitive to my feelings and/or boundaries.
@Importance @sethryan44 I completely understand the reasons why you blocked those negative energy people and happy that you put self care first. If someone is unhealthy in many ways, to keep the peace blocking would be a good idea. Situations can vary on this site. Thank you for sharing.
I block anyone on my search results that I have no intention of meeting. If there were an option to simply hide such individuals from my search, than I probably wouldn't block anyone.
@Importance I meant no harm or disrespect when we spoke.
I've found that people tend to really like me or really dislike me once they get to actually know me in the real not a whole lot of middle ground there so I'm not shocked that the same holds true here in the virtual lol
I’ve had to block one person. He kept messaging me about ripping legs off of frogs.... what?!
@Sheena123, I have so many questions! Was it a fetish thing? We’re there pictures? Did he want you to do it with him?!
@Sheena123 - Mmmmmm... Frog legs.
@BellaSera lol!! He made some sort of joke on the forum here about it and no one really thought it was funny, so he kept trying to validate the joke with me, but belittling me in the same way. I’ll show a pic, but when the messages kept continuing, it became more and more demeaning to me. He kept saying stuff like “this is probably above you” or “you might not understand this” or stuff that basically said “you dumb, I smart”. It was getting annoying because he wouldnt stop. Plus that original comment in the pic here about how it didn’t cost him anything like a session would, I don’t know if he was being nice that he made me laugh or he was being rude about how I charge...
@BellaSera btw, I faked my laugh to him 😂😂
@Sheena123 Glad you blocked him - play stupid games, wins stupid prizes as they say.
@Parad0x Interesting, maybe there should be a hide profile option for use cases like this.
Hahaha @FunCartel @Chrischong Yeah totally happens to the best of us. I know I’ve had some super great cuddle experiences and great Karma so far. Yet, Ive still been blocked by some other people which whom I’ve never even spoken to. I actually remember looking through a pros page to see what the men had to say in their karma and one of the guys apparently had me blocked😅 I was so confused!🤔 I had never even seen that guys page🤷🏽♂️ But like @FishCuddles and @spuds said, haters gonna hate and not everyone’s going to like everyone which is perfectly ok. I’m sure you are a wonderful person and according to your karma apparently a great cuddler too! Maybe the chick who blocked you felt so guilty about how awesome you seemed compared to how she felt about herself she blocked🤷🏽♂️ Couldn’t bare to see it lol. Probably had nothing to do with you! But you guys are all wonderful! Thanks for sticking together! Happy cuddle lovely people!
Boo! I wish we got some sort of message when blocked, and that it came with a canned reason for why... like:
"You've been blocked by _____, and they ... □ don't want you showing up in their searches." □ don't want you viewing their profile." □ don't want to receive messages from you." □ don't appreciate how you are in the forums." □ didn't disclose why."
"So move on."
Really, just knowing when it happened could potentially lead to one learning what it is they did, and could then take steps to modify their actions (grow into a better being) if they chose to try to. 🙇♀️🙁
I've been blocked by a couple random people who I had no interaction with or even visited their profile until I noticed they blocked me. I assume it was due to my activity on the forum. Occasionally people misinterpret my posts and think I'm saying something I'm not, and other times people correctly interpret my posts but just don't like me.
I have blocked 14 people. 13 are pros, 1 is an enthusiast. I think they all fall into one of these categories:
Blocking makes some people feel good, but blockages can make you not give a shit.
@CuddleMeLater ~ Lol ~ I'm currently at zero blocks. I'm guessing I've been blocked due to being misunderstood/something I said was misinterpreted and upset them, or for having strong opinions that run contrary to theirs, or they just know I'm way too extra for them to even consider dealing with me on a personal message level... 🤷♀️
It doesn't matter though... They all boil down to not being liked, which (not gonna lie) does kinda sting a little. 🥺
@quixotic_life im with you I’m @ zero blocks as well... but in contrary to your last paragraph I wish I’m blocked by the people that don’t like me, but they refuse to block me, it stings that they don’t lol
I was GOING to block someone but they got banned before I could I feel so cheated BWUAHAHAHA
@FunCartel
Blocking makes some people feel good
Honestly this is mainly why I block some people. For instance when someone stands me up, what good does it really do to block her? It's mostly pointless really. But it's just a tiny, worthless act of revenge.
They all boil down to not being liked, which (not gonna lie) does kinda sting a little. 🥺
Nobody can please everyone, @quixotic_life ! You're very likeable. Being blocked by a few members doesn't change that.
FWIW, I only have one person blocked on here, and I don't dislike them! I'm still happy to chat with them in the forums. It's just a DM thing.
I blocked someone who kept messaging after I asked them not to. I just caught a pushy vibe off the guy and then he mentioned he was married (i don’t cuddle people in a relationship). I told him no thanks and then he kept begging every few days. Like why?
I have posted this before and it is still very true. I don’t like to feel like I am unsafe in anyway. This is how I protect myself.
Yeah ~ Being uncomfortable, or feeling unsafe, and having a tool to put up a block for your own sense of security and privacy makes 100% sense to me.
But if someone blocked me, because I personally made them feel unsafe or uncomfortable ~ and they didn't tell me how/or by my having done what... Then how can it be fixed? How can I know not to do that with someone else in the future?
Maybe this is Karma - To have to just not know and never be able to fix it. I mean, I wish I could've told a person I stopped communicating with 'why', but it's honestly been too upsetting whenever I've tried.
Maybe those who've blocked me feel the same way... IDK, it still sucks and this reason for it feels worse than the others did.
@quixotic_life FWIW I think it's very unlikely that you made someone feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Among the dozens of women I've met and talked to from this site, none made me feel that way. Not even the ones who stole from me or ones who were pushy about sex. I think it's just not something people often feel about women.
Why don’t you two just talk about me privately, behind my back? That way I would feel safer because I would not know that you were talking about me here publicly, in the forum, in my face. The two of you think that you have not made me feel unsafe but I’m telling you that you both have directly because you keep pressing the issue. How much more direct do I have to be?
Consent is very important. Please be aware of your behaviors. I have blocked you both for reasons. Please do not try to circumvent this block by discussing me publicly on this forum.
@Importance
Why don’t you two just talk about me privately
I actually went back and carefully read every comment in this thread to try to figure out who you're talking about, and was completely stumped. Then I realized you have blocked me, so apparently you're talking about me!
I have no idea why you think I've been talking about you - I literally did not mention you or even notice your presence in this thread until now. I don't know what "consent" you're referring to, what behaviors you think I should be aware of, what issue we "keep pressing", or who is the other person you're referring to.
@quixotic_life we can’t please everyone. Doing so would dilute our personality to insincerity. Of course we should all strive to be kind and constantly improve how we communicate , but some people just have unreasonable/completely incompatible preferences.
Stop talking about me. We already know that we don’t get along. We already know that we don’t like each other. We already know that we see things differently. I am willing to leave you alone. Please leave me alone.
Ah, I think I'm piecing it together. You blocked @quixotic_life , and your screenshotted comment was an indirect way of saying that. Her comment about "being uncomfortable" was a reply to you blocking her, which I took to be just a general statement about being blocked. And then you assumed I realized you had blocked her and assumed my reply was about you and her.
Why you thought I knew you had blocked her I have no idea. How could I have known that, given that neither of you actually said it?
Anyway, this is truly ridiculous. I'm out.
