Why do people attempt to use CC as an adult site?

Why do people come to this site knowing it is NOT an adult site asking for things of that nature?
Why would they not use an adult site instead? I really do not get it!
Unless people were really continually abusing the site for this (cuddlers and cuddlees) why would this keep going on?

    My opinion is the amount of pros far outweighs enthusiasts and certain pros asking $150-$200 per hr to some people may make it look like due to the higher price that their are extras beyond "cuddling". Not saying it's right either way and unfortunately their are creeps on pretty much any site these days and it makes it harder for the good guys who are just looking for a friend and the comfort of cuddling and conversation.

    Therefore, if we eliminate money altogether, people will certainly go back to never propositioning one another for sex. This is the way things are on all sites with no pros, specifically meant for the most platonic thing of all—simple communication. Sites like, say, Omegle.

    For it would be ridiculous to assume that humans pursue sex anywhere they have the ability to speak to another.

    I know many of these pros are well intentioned. However when you see some of them charging $150 to $235hr. Well then they are nothing but con artists and you could see why some might think they are offering more than just some cuddle time.

    @DarrenWalker no need to be snarky lol. He's just giving his point of view. And although not completely true, I can relate to it. I use another cuddling site too, and the price is something I ask first and filter people by. Although I don't think it's relevant in this topic. Op charges normal rates so moot point.

    Anyway I was under the impression this sort of thing is not common etc. But lately I've become friends with some of the cuddlers and realized it's rampant, or they really had consequently bad luck.
    Not really something that can be easily fixed though. I guess after a while you just get better at reading people.

    Quarantine has given alot of people loneliness. No excuse for this site I know, but also, some need a connection, and dont want to date. Life is complicated, add a 20/21, thats not hard to get, at all.

    Maybe some think it's an "adult site" because one has to be 18 or over to sign up?

    But if able to sign up, it seems one would be able to read... and could then read the rules... So it may also be that there are many who just don't think the rules apply to them...?

    Or could be because cuddling is intimate and some don't know how to discern or delineate the often nuanced differences between intimacy and sex?

    Or maybe because our culture (as a whole) has historically failed to teach the fundamentals of interpersonal dynamics or self regulation skills?

    IDK ~ There are so many possible reasons... 🤷‍♀️

    Since escort services are 10x more expensive, people must think they can get cheap date.
    Some can be easily manipulated into sexual advances it even if it's not their intention, that keeps the cycle going.
    The number one thing I feel like a cuddler needs to be is 100% confident and firm in their boundaries.

    It is just plain wrong to implicate the pros in this. They are just as vulnerable to these creeps, if not more so.

    I wondered if the platonic / non-sexual message could be displayed more prominently (particularly on the Home and Cuddlers pages), but I don't think it would make much difference. It's a sad reality that women are prey to unwanted behaviour in many aspects of life. Putting that right is a long road. Maybe there could be more material available on safety on the site?

    Well if you're a predator you hunt prey where you think it will be easiest to catch them as vulnerable as possible, like lions and wolves staking out sources of water or areas where you pass from bright light into shadows and your vision is less than ideal.

    Sadly a site where people are sometimes DESPERATE to be held or given affection makes the ideal place for certain predators to stalk their chosen prey.

    Part of the problem is indeed sex workers using this site as a safe haven. It's all a lot easier here in the UK where sex workers can advertise openly on the internet.

    Some of creeps - and I'm not making this up - some of them don't know what 'platonic' means.

    It is inexcusable behaviour and as a community we have two choices. We can either be complicit, by allowing it to continue. Or we can stop it.

    One little step at a time I and some others here am doing what we can to stop it. We will succeed in the end, and the more people who decide to stop being complicit and start helping the sooner we will get there.

    Because people push boundaries if they believe there are no repercussions. These people need to be reported and banned. User verification is necessary to prevent them from just simply making another account.

    Products/sites that offer illegal services, like file sharing, don't police and probably encourage the illegal facets of their product. Some unscrupulous types might look at this site and think that because a cuddling site is so niche.

    And it seems some people truly do not know what platonic means. We should require a quiz/training video for all newbies. The seedy types that don't care will still get through, but atleast the confused people will stop acting against the TOS.

    What's the con? I definitely think cuddlers charging $200+ are overpricing themselves - why would anyone ever pay 2x the usual price? But there's no con. They're telling you their price, and you can take it or leave it (obviously you should leave it, but you do have the choice).

    Unfortunately, predators will intentionally look for places where their victims are going to be caught off guard. Why it's very common to find sexual predators in religious circles and places with contact to kids intentionally looking for naive, innocent, and unsuspecting victims. We join CC expecting non-sexual interactions and sometimes go into encounters expecting both parties to be on the same page. Sometimes we are wrong.

    Sometimes people merely lack self control and/or are entitled, so when they become aroused in a cuddle sesh, they struggle with putting out that fire and/or expect the object of their desire to owe them sexual release.

    Some people think they want non-sexual encounters, but they get into a situation and realize they want more.

    Some people don't read.

    Some people literally do not know what the word "platonic" means.

    It can be many reasons, but I definitely share your frustration.

    In all honesty, I do think of this website as an adult website and that is why I tend to post a little bit more controversial/edgy content. We are all adults here even though sometimes I may act like a child when I get into forum arguments. Shenanigans, pure shenanigans. Oh, and I also get into trouble and sometimes I get warnings and sometimes I get censored. I am extremely cantankerous! Pure rowdy!
