The "profile visitors" list is unnecessary.

Does anyone else get messages from paranoid people asking why you went to their profile? If you post in the forums, you'll get profile visitors. That doesn't mean anything.

Not too much for me, I'm the curious type so sometimes like @Chrischong has said in the past, pure curiosity leads us places, I wouldn't call that a bad thing per say.

For example, When people see that I'm a "pro" they typically make their own assumptions about who I am, even if it's just a simple hello. Definitely have gotten blocked for that reason alone by deduction of scenarios. 🤣🤣🤣

When I'm in public, they just see me as I am, which is great, I'm not going to do the boo-hoo I'm attractive ect. bit.... But being more demisexual in general, connection of the mind is my preference. No one is asking for my mensa scores, but I have them 🤣🤣

It's a shame really, though playing devil's advocate, I work for a PI law office as my day job, so I respect people who have legitimate reasons to be cautious about an outlet, even an innocent and platonic one, like cuddling.

  • I haven't yet, though it won't surprise me if it happens. The number of times I'm trying to open a thread and hit the last posters link instead is high. (Big fingers little phone issues lol)

  • I click on profiles often so I can build a better picture of who is posting. Sometimes I may hit the same profile more than once if they're a regular forum user. It's just silly to make assumptions. Nobody is stalking you. The only thing in your profile is what you chose to share with the public.

  • @NightShift39 ~ Same except average-ish fingers average-ish phone and average-ish issues ~ lol

  • @NightShift39 yep. Fat fingers and sensitive touch screens.

  • Ahh I believe I hear the song of my people lmao 😉

  • Nope last year I went through 8 phones (my work life is rough on delicate things lol), so I'll stick with my ultra cheap walmart phones thanks so very much 😉

  • @Mike403 I think I know the person you are talking about and yes it happened to me too.

  • I find profile visits to be intriguing. We're all a conversation away from making a friend out of a stranger. Why not learn more about others in our community and find common interests?

  • I think it’s helpful. If I message someone and I don’t get a response, I go to see if they viewed my profile. If so, then I assume they aren’t interested. If they didn’t view my profile, they might be busy, so I wait a while before sending a polite follow-up in a few days or a week or two.

Personally, I like seeing who's visited me. Makes me feel interesting.

  • @DarrenWalker - I'm just the opposite. If they viewed my profile and didn't message me, I must have scared them off.

  • I often forget it's there but glad it exists. It's amusing to think about what might have brought them to visit... and it shows me others here I might not have seen otherwise. 🤷‍♀️

  • @DarrenWalker, Same!

I would only hoping my stalking—err, viewing others’ profiles generates the same implicit compliment.

@Mike403: Hardly anybody messages me. I figure they're just overawed by my awesomeness, and can't think of anything to say. Yet. Who knows? Maybe a repeat visitor will finally work up the courage to say something nice like, "Why the heck are you on top of a refrigerator in that one picture?"

And if they don't, well, more than three visits seems like an invite to communication to me. Maybe I should say something to them, amiright? (...Just as soon as I get the time. Forum takes a lot, you know.)

@BellaSera: Looks like we share a hope. Fingers crossed!
