I may have found a Cuddle Buddy on an OLD Site

How I got a Cuddly buddy using OLD apps On Line Dating
It was VERY time consuming but with COVID I have spare time to kill
I checked all profiles in my area using my filters . Mainly age and travel distance
In the profiles I checked for indication they like to cuddle or some form of cuddling. That's the time consuming part
Here are the results . 11 Profiles were contacted out of 50 viewed . They were my matches from the OLD app.
8 No replies . Could be FAKES , bots or just inconsiderate people .
1 No thank you.
2 Positive results. A few back and forth messaging.
1 particular one said it’s a date. You and I go for coffee to check each other out. Then if it’s a go we watch a movie , we snuggle , Then we depart. I call that a movie date. If it works its more visits, I call that more dates. We will get together as soon as the lock down is lifted for a movie DATE.
OK I give up Its a movie Smuggle date YMMV

    @CuddleDuncan I usually get 20 % response with these OLD Sites . I go for realistic people. It Is not in the bag yet. These sites are famous for Game Players and Ghosting

    I have an out doors coffee meeting with my potential cuddle buddy this Sunday Morning.
    She wants to check me out 2m apart (LOL)
    No cuddling until this COVID problem improves . I can't blame her

    I've found similar. After going through a divorce a few months ago, I'm still not sure if I'm fully ready to dive into another relationship, but I've started to look at some dating apps/sites to see who I might find. I've had a few matches recently - one specifically mentioned cuddling a couple times, but after meeting in person I just didn't feel like there was a strong connection (I think she felt the same way). Another person I've met there seems nice, and doesn't seem to be in a hurry for a relationship either, but it seems cuddling might happen.

    So yes, it seems dating sites/apps could be good places to find a cuddle buddy.

    @geminigator20 POF Plenty of Fish. The reason I use it because of the free messaging. LOTS of FAKES on that site.
    @quincyq03 I am averaging 20 % because . I look at the realistic ones. I Avoid the attractive ones.
    There are lots of Red Flags on their profiles.
    I get 10 to 20 % reply. BUT half of them are a No Thank you.

    Lots of nice people on Plenty Of Fish but yes, be very careful. I've encountered more scammers there than everywhere else put together.

    @introvme Well, similar to what hawker69 is doing, I have my dating app profile set up like any other, with pictures and all that jazz. But my profile states that I am looking for a platonic cuddle partner, hopefully they read that! 0 messages so far. A previous thread on here mentioned that setting up a cuddling profile on a dating app would be nice to see, but perhaps only people on CC think that? Hawker69 has had success with this method though.

    That’s pretty cool @sunnysideup & brave of you (& hawker as well) when I used to be on dating apps, the closest I would see to cuddling was “looking for friends” -platonic friends- & yes I’m sure that outside from here or similar sites from here it would seem a bit odd to most, that is until you find that person that just gets it ... curious , why comfortable putting your pic there & not here? (You don’t have to answer it I’m just wondering)

    I checked in their profiles. for (ie) I like to snuggle or I like to cuddle . Then I sent them a message.
