What are your guyses opinions on Pitbulls? also, this is my cute little stinker pepper
I've had several and overall they've all been great dogs, even if trigger DID eat an entire leather couch that one time I had to leave him alone for a whole 14 hour shift...
@NightShift39 how in the world did they eat an entire couch?!?!?! haha
Well eat might be an overstatement, more accurately he chewed the whole thing to shredded foam and splinters and only actually ate about half the leather lol
oml was he ok in the end from eating the leather and splinters??
Thankfully yes, the leather was naturally tanned and untreated and his habit of chewing rocks likely did more damage to his teeth than the pine couch frame ever could. He wasn't the brightest dog, but a GREAT judge of people if he didn't like someone they didn't come in our house lol.
that's good......that's an odd habit haha and it's also good that the frame didn't mess him up
Yeah I was worried at the time but the vet gave him a clean bill of health and I got him a buddy so he wasn't as lonely if the gf and I both had o.t. on the same day again👍it did the trick 🙂
aww thats adorrable i love pitbulls so much i have 1 but i wish i had another but i do love my other two dogs
I like Pitbulls, never had one myself but never a problem with them either. @NightShift39 lol I am the same way. If my dog doesn't like someone then they aren't allowed in the house.
nice do you ever plan to get one?
I have one rescue Pit Bull and one rescue American Bull Dog. I have had bully breeds for the last 25 years. GREAT Dogs. Never a single problem with them. They are both Big Sucks. Marco below was abandoned . I cant believe anyone would abandon him
aww i bet they love to cuddle
There's no such thing as bad dogs. Just bad dog owners.
@stlreb YES YOU ARE SO RIGHT
Pitbulls scare the fuck out of me. My dad was attacked by one when I was 5, and I was convinced we would both die that day. I've been afraid of dogs ever since.
I absolutely will forever stand behind this breed , I love them I have owned many , and I have also met plenty that where just big love balls ! I think it’s utterly ridiculous how the media portrays them , I have met plenty of other breeds that are way more viscous, they where originally bred to be nanny dogs , I also just feel very comfortable around big dogs , and I’m a firm believer in it’s how you raise them , Ofcourse there’s some personality traits you can’t train out , but that’s with any dog !
In the UK some years ago there was a spate of dog attacks on children. In the aftermath, four breeds of dogs were banned
Pit Bull Terrier Japanese Tosa Dogo Argentino Fila Brasileiro
as well as cross-breeds. It is possible to own one but you need an explicit exemption from the court, and there are strict conditions.
The legislation is enforced, but it is widely regarded as unsatisfactory because, as @stlreb said, the owner is more important than the breed.
I suppose I am a dog lover. I've met pit bulls but I've never known one.
Would you like to know which is the breed of dog most likely to bite you? Have a guess ......
Nope.
Still nope.
Getting warmer ....
It is a dachsund, the good old sausage dog.
Edit: I don't know how I did that box thing for the breeds, I just copied and pasted the list off the internet. Nothing special shows up when I edit.

I was attacked by a dog once when I was 4 (though from what I remember, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a pitbull). I was nervous around big dogs for a long time after that, but eventually I felt comfortable around big dogs.
Pitbulls are fine with me, but I prefer the hairless breeds. Less prepping involved. For the hairier breeds, you almost need an entire Saturday just for one meal.
sorry i havnt been active ive been really busy with school
