15 percent of the gross ,.... or 40/ month

Has anyone compared site fees that professional s pay? 15 percent of a female cuddlers gross then you have 40 dollars a month for male .
Let’s see if a women does ten hours a month at 100/hour that’s 1000 times 12 months that’s 12000 x 15% = 1800 . Did I calculate right ?
Whatever amount of man hours a male pro does he only pays $480 annually . Does it cost more to feature a female profile then a male profile ?
The only difference I see is one says male the other says female .

Why wouldn’t the site just charge 480 max commission, male or female . ? Does any women pro cuddler think their commission rate should be negotiated down for more hours booked ? And 12000 a year you can’t live on that . I think there are one or two or more female pros doing lots more hours to make ends meet that means they are possibly paying more .

Did I do the math right , please correct me if I am wrong . I would like to hear some opinions on lesser commission for many hours a female books .

    It seems that there is a small percentage of hard working pros paying the lions share of the costs to maintain the professional department of the site considering that some pros sign up get approved and
    Never log in again .

    @cuddlerforu24 this is a question some people are very passionate about, lol, myself included. I think it's incredibly unfair to not offer a monthly option for more active professionals. It's also counterproductive for the goal of building this website. Commission based systems automatically encourage more active professionals to push business elsewhere, when those professionals would be a great benefit to this community to keep them around. 🤔

    In answer to your question... There are different types of professionals. Cuddle comfort fees are low for this type of cuddle website, attracting typically a certain type of professional. Websites with monthly fees are a very different sort of website, service, and thus attracts typically a different type of professional than is typical here. I am one of few on both (most legitimate professionals I know are not here), but understandably I don't push this source at all. I enjoy the community here, but it is less financially beneficial for me to get clients here (I charge the same rate no matter where people find me), so I push my other sources more. I rarely get a new client from this site at this point. 🤷‍♀️

    The 15% fee is a issue for me. I actually just raised my rate to $80 to compensate for it. It seems unfair men pay a flat rate. I understand it’s a business thing for them. But in a way it discourages women from doing professional cuddling, or having to charge more. 15% of a $80 session is only $12. Let’s say you did 20 hours a month, thats $240 sent to CC. Now multiply that by however many female professional cuddlers. 💰

    @Whisper5 more than discouraging professional cuddling, I think it encourages professionals to eventually graduate and leave the site. That doesn't help anyone on this site seeking cuddles... 😝

    @Whisper5 the men don't pay a flat rate: they pay nothing. Because they don't have any clients.

    15% commission is incredibly low. Commission rates for this kind of business model are typically between a third and a half. (I pay around 45% and consider it money well spent.)

    In a wider business context to pay zero (in money) for leads that don't result in sales, and a poxy 15% of gross on a first sale for a new customer is not far short of a miracle. Many businesses pay 100% or more - sometimes a lot more - to acquire a new customer.

    Having said that, it does strike me as odd that the site doesn't offer any alternatives for its high volume customers.

    A pro cuddler could “ audition “ herself for zero dollars ie.... similar to a test drive when you wan to buy a car ... but I don’t think its going to happen with everyone .

    I would absolutely prefer a higher percentage the first time and nothing afterwards. But this has been my full-time work for the past three years. I have my own website, my own inquiry queries, a business email, business phone number, invoicing structure, my own procedures with these resources, etc. Cuddle comfort is currently a small side shoot off of everything I do. The format is a nuisance, the messaging system far inferior, no easy way to process invoices, I make less money, etc. Plus most inquiries are not ideal clients. I stay because of the community and am excited by random quality clients I find. I more than gladly meet with clients who really want a session, and of the kind I offer, but I don't push this source for the above reasons.

    To have the freedom to do what I want with repeat clients after I've "paid my dues" would definitely be a step in the right direction for keeping developed professionals around. But this is more of a "startup" professional site, so they will always want more moderating to occur and to deal with any problems.

    I do think there should be options, including one which is attractive to more experienced and busier professionals. I've been doing this for three years. I think I can graduate from being babysat. 😇 I would rather that option than for people like me to "graduate" by leaving the site. Which would people who are seeking a professional cuddler prefer? 🤷‍♀️ That's been my point all along on this issue. Where should these people graduate to? And which option is better for this site and its members?

    @CuddleDuncan Men don't pay zero just because they get zero business; they still have to pay a monthly subscription fee regardless of whether they get any clients.

    For a woman to pay 15% commission for all sessions with each client is not paltry considering the amount of work the site does for them. I work for an interpreting agency that takes about 45% of what the requesters pay them, but they do all this for me: Have a website that attracts people who need to provide interpreters for their Deaf patients, employees, students, et al; a website that offers requesters the ability to provide all pertinent job details (date, time, client name, event name, event type, venue address, etc.); have 6–9 people in the office at any given time fielding requests that come in through the website, over the phone, through email, through text messaging, through Facebook messaging, Twitter DMs, etc.; correspond with all requesters to sign contracts for service; bid for contracts with government agencies and big businesses; promote their business on social media; have decades of credible service to the Deaf community and businesses in the private and public sectors; invoice the requesters, collect fees, go to small claims court occasionally to get debtors to pay; process payroll for hundreds of interpreters; pay interpreters in full, on time regardless of whether requesters pay on time or ever at all; maintain records on every employee to monitor the current status of their certification, license, professional liability insurance, background checks, fingerprint cards, drug checks, immunizations, TB tests, etc.; maintain dynamic records of interpreters’ general availability and specific unavailability, specializations (e.g., who can/will do medical or legal matters), interpreter preferences of which interpreters and clients they will/won’t work with; client preferences of interpreters they want/don’t want; be in constant communication with interpreters over the phone, text, and email regarding missing or changed job details, requests for prep materials (slideshows, scripts, programs, agendas, etc.), if interpreters are running late or gotten lost, if interpreters show up to a job and find the needs are different than anticipated, hear out interpreters who have grievances and help to resolve conflicts, take incident reports and follow up with them with the appropriate personnel… I mean the list goes on and on, and I'm sure there's more to it. That's what you do for your professionals when you take 45% commissions. I appreciate everything this website does do for professionals, but it doesn’t compare to what agencies for other professionals do.

    P.S. I keep editing because I keep thinking of more things the agency I contract with does to earn their 45% commission. It's monumental, really.

    @nurturingman agree 100%. Like you, I appreciate this website. At the same time, from my perspective, what it does for me is provide a place for people to find me (in addition, not financially, I appreciate the community and forum). That's why I would feel more in sync with either a monthly fee or a one-time high referral fee. After the person has found me, the website does nothing to help with future sessions. Future sessions are 100% as a result of me and the session I provided the person. I do everything else on your list myself... 🤷‍♀️ I've been in this for 3.5 years and finally gave in to having different rates depending on the source. 15% definitely adds up, and as I try to make sessions more and more affordable, I can afford to eat that 15% cuddle comfort fee myself less and less... 😔

    I think this site should have a flat monthly rate for women even if it is a higher rate than it is for men. Or maybe give people the option. So someone who only has a session once in a great while can pay 15% and those who have sessions frequently could have a higher monthly rate of around $100 or so.

    @xandriarain $100 is a little steep if switching (they should stay with % if they want to maximize $ and don't see the other non-financial benefits of switching to monthly). The only other page I'm on, with monthly fees, is WAY less than that and also includes marketing files, MANY weekly community calls for professionals, both for support and continued education, a Facebook support group, multiple different training opportunities, they participated in the recent cuddle professional webinar virtual convention, etc. But like you said, it could be optional, and they can do whatever they want of course. Just offering that at that price, there are much better alternatives for much less. 🤔

    Not that I am a pro, and not that I own/manage/maintain this website, but perhaps the solution is a, "$X.XX per month fee, + 15% of bookings up to $Y.YY per month.", for EVERY professional, male or female?

    @ubergigglefritz thats why I said it should be and option to either have a flat fee or pay a %. I would save money the majority of the time if I could pay a $100 flat rate.
