However, there is nothing closer to my heart than the farm back at home, in Brazil...
@FunCartel well I think you picked a good place to live. Guessing the crime rate is fairly low too?
@Amortentia Yes but the murder rate is high and basically in a 20 block area—drug murders. But most of the city is just fine.
I can give plenty of reasons to visit my home province of Alberta:
-mountains -good beef (if you’re into meat) -Calgary Stampede -prairies are pretty -lots of hidden lakes -closer to an arid climate so the summers are very hot...just don’t expect them to last long 😜
I’ve been in Oshawa for pretty much half a year, most of which I’ve spent indoors, and all I know about is:
-Lake Ontario is like, down the road or something -Very well connected by transit to Toronto and the rest of southern Ontario -Rainbow Restaurant has the best French toast -This smol city has a cute little hippie spirit about it and I love it
Highlights from Salt Lake City:
Utah is more than what's in SLC if you're willing to explore farther afield! It's truly an outdoor adventurer's paradise with plentiful hiking, snowboarding, skiing, boating, off-roading, rafting, etc with some of the most beautiful, unique terrain in the world.
@SnugglePurrs - I like that little pond, it's the most delightful thing so far.
Japanese Friendship Garden, Phoenix, AZ

@FunCartel I have two Facebook friends who used to live there. Small world.
@CNYMike And I have been through Cortland on more than one occasion. Lol. I had clients in Binghamton and Ithaca but also Albany.

It is like my grade school teachers sometimes wrote on my report card. "Has trouble following directions."

Los Angeles. What a lovely place.
@UKGuy that picture is so gorgeous. I have a place in a park here in Fresno, CA that's called a Japanese Garden too and it's beautiful as well. Lots of people do wedding pictures there. Is that the case with your Japanese Garden if you know?

One of my favorite spots looking over the valley where I live.
@MaullySterling This looks familiar! Shame the hat didn't stay on for long. Hopefully it found its owner.
Been in Milwaukee since '99, hate the winters here, except ice skating at Arrowwood Park
