@DarrenWalker I’m hoping that for the sake of humanity that we can at least have an optional convenience item so that those who chose can utilize them . If someone wants to use more traditional forms of communication that great!
Keep in mind with the latest virus we need minds for research and development, so , less time with idle chit chat on a forum just might save a life
@DarrenWalker To add to this: if the thumbs-up/thumbs-down buttons weren't set up to be mutually exclusive (just more reaction buttons, rather than like/dislike buttons) a thumbs up could also mean "Cool story bro". So that's another color of modeling clay thrown into the quickly browning mix.

Profiles: "Appreciate this profile" button. You can send 1 appreciation per day. Total appreciations not shown to other users, this isn't a popularity contest.
Profile Pictures: NO LIKE OR DISLIKE. This isn't a beauty contest. And it's not a "Hot or Not" site.
Forum: multiple reaction icons. There is no reason to spam a thread with "This is funny!" replies when you can just show you reacted with 🤣
@ everyone else: I'm throwing a booty shake in here because y'all haven't laughed enough.
@Starlost Your analogy is weak. My opposition to buttons has nothing to do with what shy or introverted people do. They can use buttons if they choose. I choose not to.
