Hey, looking to see if anyone has experience with outdoor cuddling in a local park in a tent. I thought this might address the bugs/sun/nosy people issues. But I’m not sure if it’s comfy or worth the investment.
Put up some police tape around it, and everybody will think it's a crime scene and leave you well alone.
Pop up tents would be great, but I would say that it could get awfully hot if you're not in the shade.

@Chris55555 Are you looking to do this for your clients, or are you hoping to get some sort of event going for the public? I'm imagining, like, one of those big-ish white tents. I wish I was still in AB, or could guarantee that I'd be traveling home soon. I'd be willing to pitch in and get it moving with you as something like the latter is my dream.
Anyway, I would think that the comfort of it depends where you place it, and what kind of pillows and stuff it's outfitted with. I would say it's a great investment. A lot of clients would probably love the idea of this too.
I thought the point of being outside was to be seen, as a form of security?
@UCpaaHVg6u0 for me yes, it is for security, among other things. To also be more sure that someone accepts me and isn't ashamed to be seen with me. I've heard of people who are ashamed to be seen with others because of their disability, body type, etc. Edit: I even recall someone saying that to me, wanting me to go over to his place cause he's uncomfortable to be seen with me. End of edit. Though would still like to benefit from said person, no thanks.
I also simply enjoy the outdoors at times. So like someone I can spend time with when out and about, maybe have a drink or lunch with when the covid ends. Or chill at a park.
@CuddleDuncan dear Lord…I was eating when I started to snort reading your comment!!!
I don’t know how it would work, but I have had back luck trying to meet for a cuddle in my RV with AC while parked at a campground. It seems to put up red flags for some reason. I like to take road trips several times a year.
@Catloaf i love that idea of like a cuddle booth at a festival. It would be so amazing.

@waynewv That's awesome!
I believe camping is illegal in most public parks, so erecting a tent could draw attention from law enforcement.
UKGuy has a point. I don't think tents are allowed at many parks. I have cuddled at parks a lot but only on a blanket. I don't think I'd do the tent option unless they bring the tent lol. I only bring blankets to park cuddles since that's easier.
@Chris55555
I'm sure the tent rule in a park would be the same here in the US also, never have seen anyone do it here. Now in todays world if you put a tent, they will think you are homeless, which may draw attention unless you are in some big city's where they are letting it get way out of hand. @UCpaaHVg6u0 , Thanks, I just love the older stuff, looked for a matching 1953 camper, but anything nice was more money then what I pd. for that one brand new.
Omgosh, you boys!!!!! If the police come over you can just say "I think you need a hug."
Actually..... We just had a lovely tent cuddle party. It was a 10x10 tent that we popped up for the day. It's not "camping" until you try and stay overnight. Most parks have a rule that you can't be there after dark or 10pm. Having a little pop up tent or bigger canopy to provide shade for a picnic is EXTREMELY common and the only difference with snuggles outside is that you don't usually have a table with potato salad. 😂
I have NEVER..... NEVER EVER been approached by anyone when I pop up a tent at a park, civilian or law. If you are asked to take down your tent that might be the worst case scenario...... You and your snuggle buddy will have a fantastic story to tell with lots of laughs and running for the car. And like @CuddleDuncan said you can put police tape around it and maybe get some traction for the cuddle world.
@waynewv LOVE LOVE LOVE it. 💗
May be a pop-up sun and wind shade designed for the beach? This one you can keep open on one side or closed on all four sides.

Words to the wise: make sure whatever you’re putting down on grass is unlikely to get burrs stuck in it. I put a fleece blanket on the grass in a park for a cuddle, and when we got up and I pulled the blanket off the ground, it was covered with grass burrs that were embedded in the fabric. It was quite a chore to pick them all out once I got home. I’m thinking of getting a straw mat or something like this to put down on the grass and then put a cozy blanket on top of it:

Awwwwwwww @nurturingman Thank you for posting that link! Fabulous ground cover and its only $20! really light too only 13oz. When we used the canopy tent (it was a small cuddle party!) we didn't pop it up all the way. You could stand in the middle if you were short like me We put some plastic on a few sides to help with wind and rain.
Did I mention it was LOVE LOVE LOVELY?!?!???!
Pitching a tent can get you banned.
Carry on.
Hmm, I sense a boner thread arising.
YOU GUUUUUUUUUYYYYYYYS!!!!! You are killin me!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
For cuddling outside in public, I've never tried cuddling in public/park, for me I think it would feel a bit odd since I'm not dating the other person. Excessive PDA has always been a bit weird to me, so anything beyond just sitting on a park bench with my arm around their shoulders, and ~maybe holding hands, would probably make me uncomfortable.
For the tent Idea, sounds nice in theory and more workable since you're in public but not seen, but you'd probably want/need a 2-3 thick and soft blankets or a mattress and you'd want to sweep the area before laying the tent down. Whenever I'm camping the ground is hard and prone to have small rocks everywhere, so trying to imagine that with cuddling doesn't sound fun
