American English and a tiny, tiny bit of Latin from high school decades ago.
I can speak and write in British English and American English. Did you know the computer keyboards are different? I also can get by in French and Italian.
English, and learning a bit of ASL (American Sign Language)
I speak a little bit of French and Spanish. It's enough to ask for directions and order food but not enough to have a full conversation with someone, which sucks because I live in a part of Southern California where knowing how to speak Spanish is actually a valuable tool to have. I wish I knew ASL and more Spanish because I'm going deaf and I am also half Mexican as well.
Spanish is my first language. But, sadly, I was never schooled. Fortunately, Spanish is a phonetic language. So it’s easy to learn to read. Modern inventions have also helped. Spanish autocorrect on the phone. And subtitles on the streaming services. When I was young I was shy about speaking Spanish in public. I thought people would see me as limited somehow. Now I’m happy when I get the rare opportunity. Takes me a while, though, to start thinking in Spanish again.
I took 4 years of French in school. My crowning achievement was ordering dinner on Air France many years ago. And then I spoke it nevermore.
Fluent in English and Sarcasm, with some Italian and French on the side.
@DarrenWalker , @Amortentia , thanks, I have often wondered that. While in Germany once for there October fest, in one of the big beer tents, they were playing 50-60's USA rock-n-roll, I wondered if the music had to be redone for them to read it. I was really surprised and they did a great job also. I always thought that it would be neat to play a guitar, but I get static on a radio and couldn't carry a tune in a paper bag, LOL,
@waynewv yeah they just probably looked up the music for it and practiced it together before they performed. I usually look up music to try too or buy some. And since I play in an orchestra (well not currently since the pandemic started so on break) but we would meet up for practices and they'd give us new music and we'd practice to perform later. Not sure if you ever seen orchestras play but they usually all have stands that hold the music up for them so they know what to play, when to do crescendo, or when my violin group needs to do pizzicato, or whatever it may be. The music would tell us when to do it and for how long. It's fairly neat all the things the music notes say. And you can still play guitar. Just find a good teacher!
Have any of you used your languages other than English while negotiating consent and communicating while cuddling?
@nurturingman: While my brother and I were in Japan, I used Japanese to establish that yes, a young Japanese lady did want to hug him (and yes, he was okay with hugging her). So sort of? Though it was only a longish hug, rather than a cuddle proper, and I was only involved as a translator.

I have 900 days of Spanish on Duolingo and have started Mandarin as well. Would love to spend some time in Spanish immersion.
