Should a Pro on a non-platonic service website be allowed here?

I'm not talking about someone's history but instead their current occupations. I ask this question in a non-judgemental way and only from the perspective of us protecting the image of this website and industry.

If a pro is listed on a feet fetish website or any other non-platonic website, should they be allowed to have a profile here?

    I said yes so long as they are on this site selling cuddling sessions only. The problem though is how do you police any of this? Any pro can be in a cuddling session and upsell whatever they want.

    Tough to say. I can see it both ways.  On the one hand, a client browsing for a pro cuddler who recognizes someone from a fetish site (or other adult services site) might be inclined to think the "platonic" stance of this site is just a guise, a front behind which other services might be hiding. There are a number of sites out there whose commitment to a platonic standard seems dubious. "Cross pollination" between CC and other sites could blur the distinction between CC and them.

    On the other hand, it doesn't seem fair to bar people based on what their outside occupations or pastimes are, as long as they behave on here. And as Morpheus pointed out, it's practically impossible to police that anyway. So I guess my vote is let anyone in who is willing to agree to the code of conduct. See how it goes. Reevaluate after a time.

    I don't understand why policing is a reason against doing it. If someone recognises a Pro as an escort and submits a report with a link to Pro's profile on the escort website, then great. If they are not recognised then fine but at least the rule would be there as a deterrent. 

    I'm surprised the poll result is so close. Interesting.

    I think it doesnt matter as long as they are following the rules here. As a pro I know it can be hard money, and sometimes we need to do alternatives to pay the bills! I use postmates now, but I have done foot fetish related things in the past, and would absolutely consider doing it again in the future, but wouldn't take that business here since its a totally different crowd, and there is several other sites to advertise that. I think what a pro does off here isn't really anyone's business, however totally understand having trust issues with the pros because who is to say they arent doing things they arent supposed to, but I think you can monitor the messages and really get an idea of if the pro is breaking rules or not.

    So @Mark are you saying that if a pro cuddler on this site has an ad on another site offering some type of sexual service, you feel they should not allowed to be on this site? Or do you feel that it's okay? There are actually five professional dominatrix's in LA that are pro cuddlers on this site. I've never hired them for various reasons but I have also never felt that they shouldn't be on this site because of their occupation.

    That's the question I'm posing for feedback, yes. Based on the poll results, I'm inclined to leave it be for now.

    I believe that as long as they stick strictly to the rules and guidelines here, then they should be allowed to use this website! And if problems arise concerning them being unable to draw a clear and distinct line, then they should be dealt with the same way that any other offender would be

    No. I say this from experience. Won't mention any names, but let's just say that behind close doors these kind of pros will attempt to sell you whatever else their occupation is. This pro even asked if I could pay outside CC so she wouldn't have to pay the administration the professional cuddlers fee. She was offering extras which although tempting I kindly refused because it was too much $$$ and I feared that she could use it as blackmail in the future.

    @CuddleBandit exactly on point. The problem is a pro who is involved in other intimate fetishes or the like will certainly use an opportunity to "upsell" no different than your local car salesman would want to sell you a higher end vehicle. It's all about expanding their customer base. This should not turn into another backpage. That is the last thing I would want to see, as it can dilute the very purpose of this forum and site to begin with.

    I noticed that a new user on here posted both her Instagram and Snapchat on her profile. It's obvious that she's only here to gather more followers. Is this against Cuddle Comfort rules?

    @Mark PS I have seen a profile with Dominatrix as one of the cuddler's "jobs." In the case of a professional cuddler like myself, I think firstly we should strike that field altogether, but if not can we make and enforce a rule that nothing sexually oriented be admissable? (Regardless of the possibility that no actual sex may occur during a dom-sub session, it is done for sexual pleasure.) That person, and any others like her, by the way, are at risk of being cased by the police.

    @Starlight  there are five professional dominatrix's that are pro cuddlers in LA and one porn star. All of their profiles and pictures are actually very respectful and none of them ever post anything inappropriate on the message boards.

    @MrSoloDolo I'm just saying that it might be a good idea to not have allowed any association with those professions listed on this site. I was not trying to assassinate their personal character. In fact, I was trying to protect them, too (read the last line on my post again).

More than anything, I find it interesting that members who are pro dominatrix's and a porn star are aware and sensible enough to be on a platonic cuddling site with respectable pics and profiles yet we have other members from more typical walks of life who have profiles and pics that are overtly sexual.

    @MrSoloDolo Posting revealing photos is another objection I have, but is not something that CC has a concern about or polices actively with software (though profiles with nude photos are banned). I don't know if thought has been given to what other professions a professional (or even non-pro) cuddler has, which is why I brought it up.

    I think it's really up to you Mark. While I believe everyone should have the freedom to live as they see fit, allowing "non-platonic" workers would be inviting something in that could easy complicate, confuse and tarnish the image of our work. That doesn't necessarily mean it would be disastrous, just something to consider. It just comes down to which direction you want to take the site - and what you are willing to deal with. Something more loose and casual or something more professional and clean cut? I can say for me personally, I do prefer a clean, professional approach because I take my work seriously and I make a point to cut out any potential avenue for drama or complications. That being said, I respect each person's right to live freely and make choices that best serve themselves.
