Why majority don't host

I always wonder why is no one wants to host at their place to cuddle. It's very hard to find. Is it that they don't trust someone coming to their place. I guess I'm in minority not to excited about paying for a room and to cuddle . Maybe if room was split. Maybe it's looked at as the clients expenses

  • They are not comfortable with people knowing where they live in case that person turns out to be either dangerous, annoying, roommates, boyfriend or husband.
Do you host at your place? If no, why not?

  • I've visited several pros that host at their place. They performed a vetting process prior to us meeting. I host primarily at hotels because I reside in a community living situation and enjoy the peace and quiet a nice hotel room provides.

I wondered about this too. When Snuggle Buddies was around most of the cuddlers from that website hosted, at least in my area. Here it's rare to find one who hosts.

As far as paying for a hotel ask if they will pay half. I only asked one so far and she said she would. But with this you can't really do anything less than two hours because it's not worth it for either one of you. Also forget about Friday or Saturday because the hotel rates are more.

  • There are essentially three reasons. Safety, practicality, and privacy.

It's very exposing having a stranger in your bedroom, or even your living room. Cuddling rates are much too low for professionals to be able to afford large enough apartments to have dedicated rooms for cuddling. Indeed many professionals live in shared houses which are intrinsically not very suitable.

@timetocuddle07 I can only comment from the pro perspective but I'd never feel safe cuddling out of my house. One stalker and your life goes to hell not to mention the danger to your family. Plus a steady stream of men showing up would get the attention of nosey neighbors. I still manage to host a couple of weekends when I get a room and book a few sessions. I absorb the cost of the room myself but if someone wants to see me when I'm not hosting and they can't host themselves then it's on them to get the room. I continue to offer discounts for longer sessions in both cases.

  • Yea I just think when u doing this both parties should least try to.meet halfway. But I guess safety reasons

I host at my place often and have had very few issues with it. I give any prospective cuddler as much as I can about myself regarding safety and other concerns that they might have, especially, if they have had a face time or phone call with me first, etc.

Other reasons could be that they have children at home, don't want neighbors to see men coming in and out of their place and any other perception it might give.

  • I am a host to an incalculable amount of bacteria good and bad so I do not need to be a host to people too.

  • @MissX That was what I was going to say as well. Especially risky if you have kids.

  • @MissX said it right on, it just takes one stalker to make being at home feel no longer safe. When I first started I used a spare room in my house and it was fine until it wasn't, using an office is the sweet spot for me.

I think most of my reasons were mentioned here as to why I don't host. You even mentioned one about not trusting people and yeah having a stranger over is a bit scary to me.

@Ironman294 also covered other reasons that also work in my case.

They are not comfortable with people knowing where they live in case that person turns out to be either dangerous, annoying, roommates, boyfriend or husband.

Plus my nephews and niece stop by often since they stay/live with me too at times so it might not even be a peaceful session even if they're in another room because you might hear them laughing and screaming and banging on the door wanting us to play with them. I can't even sleep in sometimes so to give my clients a good session it can't be here. Lol

Plus have a lot of protective/jealous people in my life and I am friends with some exes too. So I don't like breaking up fights. Last one was over a guy giving me a hug and my ex started problems with him right after it because he saw it. So yeah for now be happy I don't host.

And @Lev136 mentioned a good one too.

don't want neighbors to see men coming in and out of their place and any other perception it might give.

My aunt was accused of even having a relationship with someone because a neighbor saw a "guy" over a lot and him hug her. Her husband and this "guy" are both truck drivers. Anyway she mentioned it to the husband and he laughed. Then went inside and brought both out. He is like this "guy" is my wife's brother and he stays here at times. So yeah I don't need rumours like this starting lol

  • I love to host, as much as there are caveats to it. I find that a lot of people can be nervous about letting their household know about them hiring or cuddling with someone the household is not familiar with. As a pro, I've had folks who usually have housemates or folks in their household who probably won't let them cuddle in peace.

  • There have been a lot of good points presented here, and I understand and respect them. I'd just like to add another perspective. I'm fortunate, in that I can host for a cuddle. however what if I couldn't, and I litterally could not afford a hotel room, aside from the fear of bed bugs. I'm curious how this might be worked around.

  • @hifigeorge Are we talking about a pro or enthusiast?

I actually like hosting. I feel more in my elements because it is my own home. Maybe some girls feel unsafe to give out their home address.

I have 4 baby chicks in my livingroom currently. And have a “special needs” duck that I sometimes have to bring inside. I am an avid weapons collector and diyer so theres weapons in every room and typically tools somewhere. I dont feel that makes for a comfortable environment for most People.

  • @FunCartel 🤣🤣🤣 you’re hilarious!!

  • I don’t quite get it , that those who are scared of the lion , are willing to go to the lions den

  • All the times I’ve cuddled were always at my place, with the exception of 1 of the cuddlers (at her place) my reasoning for not minding my place is because I love my place lol, it is cozy, I’m comfortable there & I know they will be as well , and my Bluetooth speaker is there for music 🎶 / & my scented candles are there for lighting 🕯 / & the tv is there for watching 📺 / & my bed is there super comfortable & I love it lol .. & also maybe there’s some bias in my mind that I’m a guy & don’t feel threatened by a lady coming over? Never thought about this … & to your last part, you should absolutely become a fan of paying for a hotel if you’re the client lol it is most definitely the clients expense , unless the pro is already accommodating somehow with their place ect than we should definitely feel lucky we didn’t incur that expense … its almost like me wanting to go to the movie theaters 🍿 🎥 … & wondering if regal will cover my travel expenses (or half of it) for me to get there lol if that makes sense

I've cuddled as a host, as a guest, and in a rented space - I'm fine with all three if I'm comfortable with the person :)

I have a jealous yapper that would make a relaxing cuddle impossible with someone unfamiliar to her. And even then she can be a growly turned nippy little stink weasel too. It's just best for all for me to not host.

    ::realness added::

    😒🧹🧺🪣🧼/🥴
Plus my house is trashed and cleaning it to cuddle would be way too much work. Unless it were for a marathon one over multiple days... and my partner were down... then perchance I might...

Ugh... but this darn pupper that I love...
🫂&🐶=🚫 Never mind... It's not gonna happen anytime soon.

  • Unless the people I live with are okay with it, I will never host at home. When my S/O and I had a nice suite, we used to host clients there but eventually the house was sold and I had to move. I've decided to start hosting in hotels again actually, and I don't know how I feel about it. Anytime I've tried to host at a hotel, it's been a huge financial risk to me because of flakey people. I don't feel right having my clients pay for a hotel and then pay me on top of all that, so I've decided if people want, I can book the room as long as they're booking 3 hours and are willing to pay an hour up front in case of cancellation.

For me, it just comes down to my lack of interest in housekeeping and the embarrassment that comes with having anyone come inside.

  • In my personal case. I rent a room and the the owner doesn't allow visitors.

  • Guess at end of day if it doesn't benefit each other after reading responses its a no go.

  • I used to host and I loved it when I first started. There was no where else I’d rather be than the safety of my own home.

That was until, one of my regulars decided to get very nosey and look through my drawers, closet, mail, etc

I have no idea how long he has been doing this, but I caught him red handed peeping at a tax return I left out.

Needless to say, I stopped hosting all together. My privacy was invaded and trampled on and so was my Trust.

  • I host in a beautiful cuddling office.

  • Wow @VictoriaSecret that would make me immediately not want to ever host again … that’s just shocking that someone would do that, the Audacity!! It’s like, did you lose something / or, what are you looking for?!

  • I’ve been thinking so hard about this the last couple of days. I just put my profile up and haven’t had a first session yet.

In my fantasy world it would be so much nicer to be in my home, but it really opens you up to trouble. I had never in my life dealt with a violent or destructive man, but a few months ago an ex-boyfriend dropped by, I let him in thinking we were on friendly terms, ended up locking myself in my bedroom while he was in the living room destroying my $600 tv and pouring a huge pot of chicken soup I had on the stove all over everything. He came back later that night and kicked the door down.

Thank goodness I wasn’t hurt physically. But I had to move. It was a very costly lesson. I’m gonna go back to my profile and take the host option off again. Part of my struggle is that I’m not naturally a fearful person and I don’t want to be. But then there’s the reality…

  • Looks like most need another person in their place to.host and that would cure this problem of hosting to me. Everything I'm reading is safety, stalkers or noisey individuals. Seems like some see clients as creeps somewhat well not all but some. But the office space is a good idea. It shows good business saviness
