Braille erasing during session - Would you consider this platonic

Would you consider scratching out braille a platonic activity during a session?
Those who do not know what that is, essentially you take a sharp object like a pen and then moving back-and-forth on each page until the dots are flat.
I remember being a bit hesitant about asking a first person I met on here to do this. But she was totally OK with it. So I took some braille to her aunt and she did it for about 15 minutes. And that particular picture that I took was of a dragon.
So my question is, would you be open to doing this if you were asked to? Do you see anything wrong with it?

Hello everyone, I am a visually impaired person here on this website. And I would definitely like some opinions on what I am about to talk about in this post. Especially how you would respond if you were asked to do this during a session.
So, during my very first session on here, I had asked the person that I was going to meet with if she would be OK with erasing braille that I had with me during the session? And when she messaged me back she said yes. So I took it with me to our session. And I confirmed with her to make sure that she was OK with that. And we were wondering if this website would consider this a platonic activity. Essentially what this involves, is taking a braille eraser, which kind of looks like a piece of wood. And you would essentially move it back-and-forth on paper until it becomes flat. How would you guys respond if you were asked to do this during the session? Would you do it? Would you charge me extra for this? It would be interesting to hear what your opinion is are. If we had a virtual session , would you prefer me to ship the material to you if you agreed to it? Most of the people that I have met with have been OK with doing this.

    I still don't understand what you mean... are you talking about your cuddle buddy taking a pen, putting it to paper to write braille?

    I wouldn't mind helping a friend erase a sheet of braille, but I don't think I would meet up with someone from this site to do that. I don't find it particularly relaxing or enjoyable.

    What @squeakytoy said; I'd call it a platonic activity, but not a cuddly one. For me, it'd be like repainting a barn, or scrubbing mold out of a shower.

    Or play Helen Keller on your hands there's nothing inherently non platonic about these requests. Unusual even odd perhaps and not everyone will be accepting or comfortable doing it but there's nothing sexual about it UNLESS you have fetish for these activities and are using these requests to fullfil said fetishes.

    Do you know what platonic means? Serious question.

    Yes, I do know what platonic is.
    In regards to getting my hands scratched. I would say 99% of the people that I have met with have been more than happy to do this for me. As well as scratch out the braille.

    I’m beginning to understand why that girl said no to the hand scratching. What made you want your teeth rubbed, hands scratched and flattening dots? Dude those are weird and peculiar things. While not sexual sounds definitely like fetishes which is not what cuddlecomfort is for. Definitely speak to a psychologist and figure out why you require these things. I’m sorry but those definitely go into the same categories and foot and other fetishes.

    Oh, most of the people that I have met with have been perfectly fine with scratching my hands.
    In regards to the teeth rubbing, and says no to me I’ll ask them if they would like to do anything else. I don’t push it further.

    @Andy1996 Well if you know what platonic means then why are you questioning if playing braille on your hand is a platonic request? What is remotely sexual about this activity unless you find it sexually satisfying.

    I'm going to give @Andy1996 the benefit of the doubt. Given that he is visually impaired, he experiences the world through tactile sensations. If we really want to judge his requests, which honestly do seem quite odd, we would have to get the opinion of another person who experiences the world through senses other than sight.

    @Envie I agree, if one knows what platonic means then one should know what constitutes platonic and what doesn't.

    I'm absolutely not questioning his requests. I'd be ok with everything except for touching teeth. 😬 I know he's blind and feels things differently than we do. I'm asking why he's questioning the nature of these perfectly innocent requests if they are infact platonic. He has a history of asking these questions about his sessions and his preferences. I'm curious why it's necessary.

    This would be like you asking if hugging during a session is platonic. Of course it is.

    The reason I question it sometimes is because there have been a few people that have not been OK with it.
    Teeth rubbing is deffenetly tactile.
    Someone dies agreed to do it I always ask them if they can do it with gloves for just for safety.

    @Andy1996 ~ It's not good or bad. I just find you an interesting being. I like that you ask questions I find thoroughly perplexing. Not only have I never considered such things, but I rarely understand what you're getting at either. Meaning, in the asking of your questions, you often provide details that also answer them. And when met with feedback, questioning or confusion from others, the content of your replies are often unexpected.

    Anyway, I don't think you're like anyone I've ever had the opportunity to interact with before and I find your uniqueness intriguing. Sorry if that's off-putting or weird... If we lived near each other, I'd ask if you'd like to go get coffee sometime so we could just hang out and chat.

    @Andy1996 Not everyone will be okay with what you want, even if that thing is platonic. So long as you know that what you're asking is platonic, it being met with rejection doesn't change what it is.

    Not everyone is comfortable with it.

    If most people have been fine with these requests, I still don’t understand how a couple people not wanting to do it makes you think it’s not platonic.

    Deep down, you know it’s platonic. So maybe you just wanted to start another thread where you talk about another odd thing you like during cuddles. It’s obviously platonic, so you’re ok. If you just want a generic thread of peoples opinions on this topic, go for it. But to ask if it’s platonic along with your other requests (that are completely harmless, just different), makes zero sense to me.

    -you know it’s platonic
    -you have multiple people perfectly fine doing these out of the norm tasks
    -you make sure they are comfortable and safe

    So what’s the deal with making it sound like you aren’t sure if it’s sexual just because someone says no? They just aren’t comfortable with it. The end.

    We all have our own way of seeking affirmation and participating in a community. Some ways are more unique than others.

    @Andy1996 I do have to ask: What would be the purpose of scratching out braille? I assume that it renders it less legible. Is it a way to pass time or soothe oneself?

    Also I can see how people would run for the hills if you don't let them know why you are making those requests. Because I don't think most people even know about something like rubbing teeth. Then when such request is made, it can come off as invasive and fetish-like to them. Especially considering women already get some requests that are questionable at best. It is not cuddling either.

    At the end of the day, someone can say no to even a hug or a handshake.

    I'm gonna agree with the ladies here @Andy1996.

    You must obviously know that using a pencil on paper is non-sexual, or platonic.

    So why ask?

    You're not asking if it is platonic, you are asking if this is something that is within the realm of what you can ask a pro cuddler to do with you.

    Technically you can ask them to clean your house for you too, for the hour you are paying them. They might not want to do it and they don't have to. It has nothing to do with the fact that it is platonic.

    If you already know all this, then maybe you just want some human interaction, I guess which is ok too. I would recommend places like reddit where you can have conversations with people online about anything you want.
