deleted karma?

after a session with a pro she left a 5 star karma on my profile,i haven't talked to her since the season and i did not leave karma on her profile, i looked at my profile this evening and i saw that the karma was not on my profile, i hate to make consuptions but i assume that she deleted the karma she wrote. is she mad that i did not leave karma on her wall or do you think shes annoyed that i havent talked to her since, she wrote me 3 times but havent replied. ps her profile is up and running. i hate to get in my own head but im just asking for future reference. thank you cuddlers and make it a successful day. AND HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU, if it has leave it in the comments down below

  • It could def be that she deleted it, which is very childish and petty if that is the case. Although is she still a member? I actually had karma once and the person had gotten banned, and her karma disappeared as a result of her being banned. But if you just delete or deactivate your account it is still there I believe.

Karma is beneficial particularly to a pro cuddler for business reasons. It's beneficial to others as a means of gauging whether someone may or may not be a risk to cuddle with. It's unfair to reap the benefit of a five-star review while not having the courtesy of leaving a review at all for the person who gave it. I would imagine it's safe to say she's not happy that no karma was left for her.

  • @BlueIris What you say is true about the benefits of karma, but maybe there's a reason he didn't want to leave karma? He shouldn't be obligated to leave good karma just because she did. This is why karma can't always be trusted ;-) He could have responded to her messages though...

  • If you read what I wrote, I did not say anyone was obligated to do anything. I said it was unfair to reap the benefit of a five-star review while not having the courtesy of leaving a review for the person who gave it, and I stand by that.

  • I have had people not leave me karma but I know that is just how they roll. When I have left karma for others I typically ask permission first, in case they aren't into it. I don't rely on it for cred so my opinion of it may be different than that of a paid cuddler though, so I can see where it could leave the person feeling a little offended, sort of like not getting a tip at a restaurant or something of that nature. Seems the right thing to do if you get good service. But I also don't feel there should be pressure to do it, that might be off putting to the client and could potentially prevent a repeat if they feel there is obligation.

  • @pmvines I was in that situation. I tried to ask really nicely, since it sounded like he really enjoyed the session, but it's still awkward. The site really needs to send a notification when someone leaves you karma. I figure some people just don't think about the karma after.

@BlueIris Agree to disagree then. Not everyone wants to leave a neutral or negative karma. They feel more comfortable not leaving one at all. That's fine in my opinion. Better than adding to the issue of inflated compliments in karma O:-)

@metalheavy It sounds like she left karma with the expectation of maybe receiving karma as well. She might have gotten the impression that you enjoyed the session and would want to trade karma.

But when you didn't leave karma, maybe she thought you somehow didn't like the session. Her motive for removing the karma could have been that she didn't want to sound fake if her client appeared not to enjoy it.

You might send her a message and ask why she removed the karma. Maybe you guys can work things out and come to a mutual agreement.

  • I do feel it could leave you wondering if it was not a good experience, and if you get stuck in your head about it then it can be easy to take it personal. That is why I typically ask if it is ok to leave if for them. That way the door is left open, and it is acknowledged that i am leaving it for them if they wish to do the same, however I do not ask them to do so. I check my profile stuff so infrequently that at times am not even aware of karma left, friend requests, etc until much after the fact. Someone commented on a pic on my page that I hadn't even remembered putting on there lol. I am really bad about that sort of thing.

@pmvines People have mentioned that you can leave comments on profiles in some way. I know that you can leave karma and such with a review of the cuddler. But I don't see anywhere else where you can just leave a comment on the profile.

What are some of the other ways you can leave comments? I am just curious.

  • @MoonlightSonata Not sure about that one. Only way I know of is the karma section.

  • It would seem to me that if there is a quid pro quo arrangement, stated or implied in the posting of Karma, the Karma ratings are unreliable and nearly useless....I did say nearly.
By the way @pmvines you get an ‘atta boy for cuddling with one just on the brink of being banned!

  • Lol well she was a really sweet person and we still keep in touch actually, all was a misunderstanding in my opinion but I don't make the rules here

  • I don't know the situation from both sides. Just like no one is obligated to leave a karma, no one is obligated to keep on the profile either. Since she's left you a high, she might have hoped that at least you felt enough to leave for her half of that. Combined with not responding to her, I am not surprised why her opinion changed and thus, removing that which she left. She got none from you. Now you've none from her. I think it's even. :)

@pmvines Oh okay, Thank you for letting me know. I was just wondering if there were other ways to comment on profiles too. Because sometimes I see people with similar interests and I think it might be nice to leave a comment saying I like the same things or something. But there are also messages too. :)

@metalheavy Personally, I think its very rude to not acknowledge someone leaving you complimentary feedback. At least message the person and say thank you, and if you don't intend to reciprocate, explain why. I think you got what you deserved.

  • @UKGuy Yeah. If you have a positive cuddle, but then are non-responsive and ignoring the person, that could change their mind about their review.

There have been occasions after a pro is rude I leave negative karma. But I thinm what would Jesus do and usually end up deleting it

  • I Agree with ukguy.

  • She definitely deleted it because you didn’t leave her karma. She doesn’t miss you or is bothered that you didn’t contact her again.

Welcome back, @Morpheus . You gave us all a scare there for a minute.

  • Thanks, not trying to be off topic but with the promotion I received this year, I’ve barely had time to breath.

  • How do you delete Karma? Left good Karma for a client but has asked me to delete.

  • Agreed. Enjoying a five star review and leaving nothing in return probably made her feel bad.

@Maria1966, navigate back to the person’s page so that you can see your review. In the bottom left hand corner, there is a small link to delete the karma.

Here’s a pic to illustrate, though I’d never delete a 5-star review from Mr. @OhioMike. He’s a 15-star cuddler if there ever was one.

@OhioMike 1 of my favorite people on CC, so glad you received such an amazing / top notch / over the clouds reciew 🌌 (edit: karma lol) … your energy from day one of me discovering & being in the forums has been incredibly postive.

  • Thank you BellaSera!

  • @ubergigglefritz , if you look in your e-mail a karma notification is sent by Cuddle Comfort whenever you receive karma from someone who you recently cuddled.

  • @metalheavy ,

To me it looks like the cuddlier deleted it expecting you would reciprocate. When did she reach out to you after the cuddle ? What did she want ?

@Lev136 - it looks like metalheavy has been banned.

I wonder if the pro was unhappy when she not only didn't get karma given back to her, but also when her messages weren't replied to.

  • The OP is from 2018 and yes, metalheavy got banned for very good reasons.

Sometimes someone may start out behaving just fine and then turn around and do something completely inappropriate. That may be one reason why someone would delete previously given good karma.
