Anyone watch the fight? Looks like they got some cuddling in on most rounds.
Hah! Good one. I didn't watch it, but I was really impressed by how the two masters of the fistic arts treated each other when it was over, praising each other. Totally unlike the Frazier-Ali fight, a loooooong time ago. Those two despised each other, and didn't mind talking about it. And, I hope your idea of what constitutes cuddling is not widely held. ; )
I thought either Conor would catch Floyd early or be totally outclassed, but it was a good, competitive fight. Conor took the loss well, he's very resilient.
And yes, I agree, cuddling and punching don't mix.
Mayweather is an abuser, has had something like 5 charges of domestic violence against him. Don't care how well he boxes, I'm not a fan, wont support him, and hes not a man in my opinion.
I was pulling for Conor, for that and other reasons.
I guess Conor is a free agent now:

Right pmvines, aren't professional fighters supposed to be able to keep their temper under control? I was hoping Mayweather would lose, too, just because of the domestic abuse. Cuddling and punching don't mix, but looks like Floyd didn't get the memo on that.
I watched it but didn't pay for it. $100 for that circus is insane.
Still it was a better fight than most expected with an ending that everyone expected.
300 million and 100 million payouts (at least). #setforlife
Choco, not sure I want to get hit that hard, but for 100 mill, looks like the Irishman did pretty well losing. Not too many people can say they lost something and still got 100 mill for a consolation prize.
Plus he's still a champ in the UFC so he's still top dog over there.
I'd take one punch (on the shoulder) for 100 million.
A local radio host in Baltimore had to shave his head and eyebrows because he predicted Mayweather would knock out McGregor by the third round. This should be a lesson for anyone who decides to make ridiculous bets in front of witnesses.
I watched it in the movie theater for $40.
How was the crowd, @RScarf1?
That's how I want to watch the final season of Game of Thrones. Each episode in the theater!
Cinemark theaters was showing it. The theater near me has 24 screens, but they only used one screen for the fight. It was sold out or close to it, but it was a smaller space with less seats. The larger spaces were probably used for the most popular movies.
