I live in California. I noticed when I joined 2 years ago, prices around my area were reasonable, in the $80 to $100 range. Seemingly out of no where I’m seeing the normal range rise to $120 to $180. Some profiles even advertise $200 to $300, which seems like pure greed.
My gut just doesn’t sit right with this, and it seems to go against the spirit of cuddling, in my mind - an activity that’s holistic and beneficial for both parties. It’s held me back from booking substantially, since I can’t justify the prices, and there are way less profiles to choose from, as a lot of people have hopped on this trend.
When I book sessions, I like to book around 3 hours. It’s enough time for me to get in the zone of cuddling, and it also makes it more worth it for the professional. This means currently I’d have to spend on average $450 per session, which really gets my budget gears turning, compared to the $300 I was more comfortable spending 2 years ago.
What are your thoughts about the price hikes? Is it justified by the demand? Are we just keeping up with inflation?
I’m probably going to get responses saying “you don’t have to buy” or “take it or leave it”, something to that effect. But when I look at this new pervasive wave of expensive professionals, I see few karma reviews, if any at all. Assuming their volume is low, wouldn’t the natural thing to do be to lower prices in order meet the true demand?
