Would it be a deal breaker if your cuddle partner doesn't have the COVID vaccine?

I'm double-jabbed and would cuddle with an unvaccinated person. However, other than being in my fifties I am low risk, and don't live with anybody high risk, so it's not a big deal for me. For some other people it would be a significant risk.

I have cuddled many times in a mask. Yes it is annoying, but it's not as bad as you might think and certainly doesn't ruin the cuddle.

I definitely require that my cuddle partner be fully vaccinated and boosted.

@Libra0 - I got my test kits on Monday of this week.

Regarding the claim that the vaccine does not prevent transmission of the disease - this is inaccurate. The vaccine does help prevent transmission by making you less likely to contract the disease, If you don’t contract the disease, you can’t transmit it to others.

  • I wouldn't care if a person wasn't vaccinated and didnt wear a mask personally speaking

No not at all. It doesn’t matter if she’s vaccinated or not, anyone can get and spread Covid (regardless of vaccination status)

  • [Deleted User]natickben (deleted user)

Yes. Also a dealbreaker if they are not boosted.

  • Vaccinated, boosted and eligible in March for the fourth shot as I fall in the highest risk group. So yes I do want someone who has a vaccinated vibe.

Not a problem at all, @Sideon.

Double vaxxed then got COVID, many friends have been double vaxxed and boosted and still got COVID and assuming they probably gave it to others too.
Vaxx helps in preventing serious illness but you can and do transmit. So that’s why I don’t care if the person I cuddle is unvaxxed but those in high risk categories should be very careful!

I don’t feel we have the right to judge on this topic. And these comments are kinda harsh. I am vaccinated and I would cuddle someone who is not. Regardless of why they choose not to be vaccinated. This topic turned into a judgment zone. Thought we are here for happy days.

  • I'm not vaccinated and I would not cuddle anyone who requests that I wear a mask, present a negative covid test, or quarantine beforehand. I would cuddle anyone regardless of vaccination status provided that they don't make any covid related demands of me. Also, I don't think I would cuddle anyone who wants to wear a mask during a cuddle session with me. That hasn't happened yet, but I think it would be weird and uncomfortable.

I can’t believe that one of my post got edited out, especially when that other person tagged me to begin with, (with wrong information at that), & insinuated that me , or anybody else who wishes not to be vaxxed (or doesn’t mind if their cuddle buddy is vaxxed or not) aren’t sane (personal attack much?) I’m sure most people read my response to the person, which didn’t even attack them, its almost like controlling the narrative & choosing sides based on personal opinion, it would be nice if certain people stop doing that. All in all, I’m just upset that my profile doesn’t come with 15 second ads because I would be making a killing from all the profile traffic I’m getting … besides that I hope everyone’s having an awesome day : )

@SoComfyJay i really appreciate your comment (this is not saying you’re choosing my side or anyones side ), ty.

@itsbobby 💯 really nice & clever to used the words directly from the cdc, thanks for that

@WriterGF always zero bias - ty

@JohnR1972 & @Gabriel2k thank you both for your comments.

  • @cuddles_ndream I think you should DM the moderator rather than complaining about a moderator decision on an open forum. I think you would get an explanation that answers your questions that way.

  • @FunCartel it seems you’re trying to stir the pot, when we were warned , All of us … I my self & everyone else toned it down & respected it, I couldn’t help but notice that an entire comment I made addressing someone who was addressing me was removed … you don’t get to choose how I feel about it, have a nice day.

@SoComfyJay yes, it's almost like thousands and thousands of people have died from this virus, and there are still selfish morons who choose to not be vaccinated because they believe the nonsense conspiracy theories that are being bandied round. If you want to spend time cuddling science deniers then go ahead, but don't be surprised when socially conscious people choose to avoid them.

  • Besides insane, now we’re selfish Morons too , nice 😊

  • @cuddles_ndream - Your comment was flagged/reported, and I responded: I asked that you and BuggleBear not engage or tag each other in the future - pretty straightforward. But do believe me when I say this thread is closed.

  • I've cautiously restored this thread. Guys, please keep it civil. Everyone is entitled their own opinion about Covid - whether you had the vaccine, or are against it for whatever reason, it doesn't matter as long as your respectful in the manner you convey your opinions. If your carelessly spreading misinformation framed as facts then that DOES matter. If your attacking one another then that DOES matter. If this thread devolves again then it'll be locked, thanks

  • I would cuddle with “Everyone” whether they chose to be vaccinated or not. I am fully vaccinated, rarely ever sick 😷 and have not Covid related problems in 2 years! I am open to cuddling many types of people with different viewpoints in general!🤗

  • I personally don’t care if they’re vaccinated. I’ve had Covid twice. Both times with mild symptoms. I had my first set of antibodies last for a whole year. And my second set of antibodies are still intact. I’m very sensitive to the chemicals that are in vaccinations, so I prefer not to cuddle with someone right after they’ve been vaccinated. Besides I’d like to build my immune system. What better way than Cuddling lol.

Even in the past when someone would say I have the flu don’t hug me, I would say I’d rather get the flu then not hug you. I guess that’s why I wanna cuddle site because I really like being close to people. Thank goodness my friends during the pandemic would allow me to get together with them and hug them.

It’s like I live in an absurd world now. Imagine a world where there are driving and safety experts who go to the public and say, you need to see where you’re going to driving. You have to see in order to drive around in a car for your safety and everyone else’s safety. (Then they explain in great detail the science and biology of eyes and physics.)

Then you have this whole movement led by people on the fringe with no qualifications or training who did a little research into faith driving on the internet who get thrown off of radio and tv stations for misinformation and who say it’s their God given right to close their eyes whenever they want. They don’t believe in biology and physics. They have a belief that they can drive a car without seeing. And they believe personal freedom is more important than anything else. And besides they are so strong and manly that a car accident won’t hurt them.

Then they go out driving with a big Joe Rogan bag over their head, accidentally kill people and injure themselves. They say from their hospital beds, “I’m ready to drive my car with my eyes open now.”

  • Regarding not understanding why I, someone with a wonky immune system, would say I "risked" taking a vaccine which scientists tell us is safe and the uneducated claim is dangerous:

You understood me perfectly, @FunCartel. Thanks.

  • It's definitely a deal breaker for me!

  • @ShaneMTB I’ve heard many analogies regarding vaccines and the reasoning why there is such a strong minority of people dead set against being vaccinated but the one you just so nicely articulated is one of the best. It would be funnier too if it wasn’t so sadly true.

  • For once I'm with the majority on these forums. I chose: I do not mind cuddling with an unvaccinated person weather they happen to be wearing a mask or not.
    58.67%

  • Yes need to be vaccinated and have the booster

  • Drinking is a personal decision. Drinking and driving is not a personal decision. You are not authorized to risk other peoples lives.

Not getting vaccinated is a personal decision. Not getting vaccinated, and then breathing in the vicinity of other people is not a personal decision. You are not authorized to risk other peoples lives.

  • Lol 🤔you can wear the mask in a session with me but I am silently laughing at you.

I cuddle close and plus size so you will probably die slowly of heat stroke or affixation cause I’m keeping you extra warm😉😂

  • @GreatHornedOwl very succintly put.
