To the mods, can we have a purge day on the CC threads? ⛈

Genuinely wondering this, is it possible that we can have a day, 1 day out of the year (say, March 1st of every year) where everyone doesn’t get modified & can speak freely & doesn’t have to worry about consequences… but to not ruin every other thread up, there will be a thread that becomes available on March 1st & goes away when its officially March 2nd called “the purge” ….

  1. Guys, would you like a purge day on CC once a year?57 votes

  • My body is ready.

  • I like that there’s no personal attacks allowed. You can go in the comments section for YouTube videos for unmoderated comments. Go wild over there @cuddles_ndream

  • People behave pretty poorly here as it is.

  • @MCcuddles2 I sincerely doubt Eleanor Roosevelt would have gotten involved in online forum flame wars.

Problem is, you can purge the thread, but the resulting bad blood from a topic like that won't disappear so easily.

  • @ShaneMTB that’s a misconception that I would want to go wild on purge day, I would be respectful, like I feel I always am (except for that time I said that it sounded like @CuddleDuncan wrote a cuddling pledge, which was in response to him mocking how I wrote the title of my 2 million dollar thread & mocked it, so I mocked him, but I really did infact double check to see if it was him because it sounded like something he would do & say , but I wouldn’t have ever said it, I would have just thought it, but he opened the gateway for me to say it.)

I would just defend myself freely on purge day if I’m challenged , whether its a civil debate or I feel someone wants to disrespect & take it there.

Certain people don't need a specified day on which to act badly, they do it all the time anyway. If you feel that CC is missing drama and flame wars, perhaps this isn't the right environment for you, as most people here are perfectly happy to be civil to each other and not try to one-up each other and get the last word.

Respect is earned, its not an automatic, freely given right.

  • @WriterGF you bring up a very valid point!

    I disagree.

@BuggleBear you missed the question, & you’re making assumptions of what it is I want or don’t want, or that I feel cc is missing drama or any of that … yesterday you called everyone on this site (or this world for that matter) who don’t want to take the vaccine for very valid reasons (I’m sure there are ridiculous reasons) insane selfish morons … you seem to attract lots of negative energy & invite drama ,I tried to come respectful to you today & I will take the high road now, plz move on.

Just because a few people make the most noise, doesn't mean they are the majority.

You've been explicitly told not to tag or interact with me on the forum, so respect the moderator's authority and stop talking to me. It's a shame you didn't decide to 'take the high road' yesterday when you were slagging me off all over the forum.

Move along, I have nothing more to say to you.

  • Why are you participating on here…… ummm Nevermind

You understand that limiting people who can comment on posts based on whether or not you like them and value their input is tantamount to censorship? This is a public forum, you can't expect that a) everyone is going to agree with you, or b) that you get to decide whose input is valid or not.

  • Yes its censorship you’re right BuggleBear sending you my sincere genuine love your way 🌌

  • @BuggleBear

Just because a few people make the most noise, doesn't mean they are the majority.

I have nothing further to add, but I would like to get the last word in.

    Seems mature.

  • Lol 😂 @MCcuddles2 I didn’t think any humor could fit in this post & you did it.

For the record, “Well behaved women rarely make history” is attributed to Laurel Thatcher Ulrich.

It is frequently misattributed to Eleanor Roosevelt and a few other interesting women.

  • @cuddles_ndream - The question is unanswerable because there are always consequences. There is no escaping them.

  • Thanks @Babichev that is 100% true.

Yet... He's escaped the consequences of directly contravening the moderator directions on repeated occasions tonight and there had been zero repurcussions. Thoughts, mods?

  • Thoughts? Thoughts? We don’t need no stinkin’ thoughts!

I’m currently tired of having thoughts about other people’s stuff. I haven’t been paying attention. It gets boring. You have no idea how tiresome this gets. Really, you guys are all adults. Are you really not capable of figuring out how to have a decent discussion?

I shall just ignore his baiting in future.

  • I have another way. I write uncensored replies but I don't hit the Post button.
I probably do this more times than I actually post.
