Ladies, here's my screening process as a female enthusiast

  • @hifigeorge, I would consider meeting somewhere else for the first time, but I don't think I would cuddle in private without cuddling in public first. If I really wanted to cuddle with someone, I would figure out a way to make it work. Keep in mind, I'm not a pro, so I conduct myself differently than them.

  • @Cuddle_RN Thanks for responding. I understand that you're not a pro and that you have to do things differently. I also understand, and would have no problem with, meeting in public as many times as you needed to feel comfortable. I do appreciate your beeing willing to meet in a different public place, for those of us that movies don't work well for. To everyone elsse, thanks for allowing me to address a rather specialized concern.

@Cuddle_RN, All I can think to say is that your thread here is great 👍. Those are really good steps to take. Being a guy myself I feel fine with taking it at that pace for a woman. I get it. I kinda do the same thing with guys on here as well. A lot of guys have built a bad rap for themselves in this society sadly. Not sure what else to say about that. Using good discernment is key.

  • Everyone deserves to follow their own guidelines for deciding when it's safe to cuddle.
I see someone from the site who only wants to cuddle in public. It's not my preference as I don't generally like public cuddling but it's what she is comfortable with so that's what we do.
I once met someone from the site who wanted to meet at a Starbucks and after just an hour together she invited me to her place to cuddle privately. We didn't have to go to movies or meet dozens of times first.
I asked her about it and she said she could tell very easily that she was safe with me. I've had many tell me the same thing.
One cuddler told me that within five minutes she could tell she was safe with me. I don't know how they do it. I don't know why some women can't and need dozens of meetings first. But we can't expect all women to be the same or to have that same sense.
I've noticed some women don't want to cuddle or meet if I don't live close to them.
That seems so strange to me but after reading the ops profile I see the reasoning.
Well women do have the upper hand here and can choose to be as limiting as they want they'll have no shortage of candidates.
It is ironic though because I would say over 90 percent of the cuddlers I've met lived at least 45 minutes to an hour away. I just couldn't find anyone closer than that.

  • @Melancholy, the best public cuddling IMO is in an Eno double hammock. It kind of closes up around both of you like two peas in a pod (this guy has his head and arm out to keep it open for the picture) and gives you some privacy and it's SO cozy!

I'm betting that each one of those women who require multiple meetings have one or more horror stories that put them in that place.

My post wasn't meant to be prescriptive, like hey, everyone should do things just like me gag. It's just an example. Everyone should take what works for them and make it their own, and forget the rest 😊

I love the idea of a hammock cuddle! I travel with my ENO almost every trip :) I hike a lot when I travel so it’s more for my enjoyment on a trail usually but that’s a great idea to have a public cuddle in it. Thanks for the idea @Cuddle_RN!

An excellent progression that ensures security while also allowing for quality cuddlage (is that a word? 🤔). The only difficulty I see is that in some theaters, like a few in my area, there are huge armrests separating reclining seats with cupholders, along with a gap in between. To effectively cuddle may result in some sort of Feng shui abstract art configuration wherein I end up watching the movie with my hair stuck to the gum under the seat in front of me. 🤣 That's ok, because I may find a few snacks that were left behind. I only wish I could read the credits upside down while eating the Goobers I found. 🤔 Or were they????

  • @cuddlebear4U48 I'm fortunate to have this 10 minutes from my house 😊

And @PhotogCuddler, my first long term cuddle friend introduced me, so I can't take credit for the idea. It's so awesome that when I went camping with another cuddle friend and we accidentally left his Eno (that he bought for cuddling) at the campsite, he immediately bought another one, without hesitation 😂😂😂

@Cuddle_RN NICE!!! Somebody knows how to design a movie theater the right way. 🥰

  • @Cuddle_RN To be honest, I wouldn't mind meeting for a movie as many times as it takes to find a local cuddler.
Its really difficult to even get to that point. I was talking to one woman earlier this week and she said she had 17 guys she was trying to talk to at the same time about cuddling. How can that even work? That's crazy !
She ended up deactivating her account.

  • Here is one thing to add for safety measures on top of having a friend or someone having the deets of the meetup: have the "life360" app on you phone and be in a group with some friends and/or family and the can see real time where you are.

  • [Deleted User]KYtransplant (deleted user)

@Melancholy be a little mean in your bio I guess. I rewrote mine after @Cuddle_RN advice.

And actually have a movie cuddle planned this weekend! I had really wanted to do a park, but 37 degrees with a 25% chance of rain scrapped that idea quickly.

So I guess the trick is, strong boundaries, sarcasm and communication?

  • @Melancholy, I hear you. That's why I have limits and set the bar high and sometimes I've hidden my account when my dance card was too full. Hang in there!

  • [Deleted User]AndrewSnugs (deleted user)

@KamikaziNinja86 Yeah, I have that app. I don't want my friend who is in the same group as me though to ask me a lot of questions about what I am doing though. I don't make room for shame to try to come against me, plus if I get shamed anyway I don't accept it anyway.

  • I'm just curious. Any movie theater I've been in has an arm rest between each seat, and that arm rest has a large drink holder on the front of it. I'm guessing there may be special seating that doesn't have this. If so, is it usually in a special section? I only ask because we're talking about movie cuddles, and I would think a big arm rest and drink holder would make for an awkward cuddle.

  • @hifigeorge: Curses, there was no image description on the image posted by @Cuddle_RN.

Apparently there's a movie theater ten minutes from her house that has big leather seats wide enough for two people—obviously meant for two people—and fancy footrests to boot. From the picture it looks like the front row, at least, is all like that.

Though you'd have to be sure to remember which of the two drink holders on your arm rest belonged to you, and which belonged to whoever was in the next double seat over.

  • @DaringSprinter Thanks so much for the wonderful discription. Those seats would be a great idea. I've never heard of anything like that before. Then again, it's been literally years since I actually went to a movie.

  • @hifigeorge I believe such double seats are becoming more common. Sometimes they cost extra. I've seen them installed in a somewhat ad-hoc way, with the front row of regular seats removed and replaced with couches.

  • @hifigeorge ~ I did a Google search and Landmark Cinemas Tamarack Edmonton has the fancy love seats!! 📽

The one who asked before we met if he could stick his finger in my bellybutton while we cuddled just got blocked without explanation.

    @Cuddle_RN

    😂😂😂

Girrrrrrl we could start a whole thread of the most ridiculous, hilarious, creepy, and just plain wrong requests/demands we’ve gotten from guys here. My favorite was the dude who had an obvious foot fetish and his requests. That was the end of the conversation for me. I’ll leave it at that.

    @frankparker9
Everything you said was right on. Speakin my language!

  • I love this!! This is so important and agreed hardly anyone makes it to step 2 because at least half the men just expect to get my phone number or some personal information without even chatting a bit first and it's really quite alarming. I've had many a person ask me to drive 2-4 for just a 1-2 hour cuddle (without even meeting in public first!) and it's more common than you think! Thank you for posting this I hope it becomes much more common

  • @TheMidnightOwl believe me, I have considered starting THAT thread sooooooo many times. Complete with screenshots!

@lilithgrowlithe it's amazing to me how many men remain blissfully unaware of how dangerous men can be for women. The good thing is, the nice men respond well when you bring up safety concerns. The trash men keep pushing and say things like "you could be just as much of a danger to me." 🙄

  • I want a cuddle buddy to cuddle on a couch or bed. I don't want a movie date/cuddle. So I wouldn't get far on your list. I have cuddled approximately 6/7 enthusiasts. 3 of those, seen more than once. Didn't have to go to that extreme.

    @MaxCuddle
    Neat.

It's a good thing @Cuddle_RN wasn't looking or asking for candidates to apply to her "extreme" screening process and was simply sharing what works for her and makes her feel most comfortable. 😉

  • @MaxCuddle. I don't quite follow. Are you saying that helping your new cuddly buddy feel safe is something that you regard as "extreme"? That suggests you have .... not disregard, but contempt for their feelings. I'm not sure if that's what you were trying to convey or not, but if that is what you believe then it might explain why your repeat cuddle ratio is so low.

I regard helping a new or potential cuddlebuddy feel safe as .... well basic politeness, not even anything to do with cuddling.

  • @CuddleDuncan
I don't think he's saying that its "extreme" to make a woman feel safe. As he pointed out he's already seen 6 or 7 women who felt safe enough to cuddle with him. So obviously he has made those women feel safe right?
In his opinion, the OP's requirements are extreme for him, and that's ok. he can find others to cuddle with apparently.
As for putting him down for not having more repeat cuddles, that seems a bit rude to me.
there could be lots of reasons why he hasn't repeated with all of them...until you cuddle with someone you don't know if you're going to enjoy it or not, and maybe they found someone else or maybe they got into a relationship. Plenty of legitimate reasons without you having to go to the one that puts him down.

  • @MaxCuddle, I actually want the same thing you want. I've achieved it without compromising my safety, and successfully screened out men who had non-platonic intentions, using this process. From the very beginning of my time here, there have been men trying to convince me that this is extreme, unnecessary, crazy, too much, or some other variation on the theme. My dream team is full of other men, kind men who took the time to make me feel safe. I gotta go get ready now, one of them is picking me up, taking me to an extra shift I signed up for, then taking me out for dinner, then taking me home for an overnight platonic cuddle ❤

  • @quixotic_life Thanks for doing the extra research. I do appreciate it, especially since it's not where you live. I think my movie going days are behind me. If it works for most, that's the main thing. After all, it's about keeping safe and comfortable.

  • @hifigeorge ~ No problem. I was thinking at first that cuddling at one of these places would be a bit silly to spend money on. But when considering the layers and depth of sound and vibrations you really only get at the movies, it might just be worth it... because typically, if I'm in 'full cuddle mode', my eyes are closed so I'd likely miss it.

  • @quixotic_life I understand what you're saying. However, I find that as I get older, I'm more easily overwhelmed. the sound and vibrations in theaters can be way too much on its own. I also find that I can only focus one way. I would either be focused on the movie or the cuddle. It seems a shame to spend money on a movie, then completely ignore it. I may be one of the few people that a movie cuddle wouldn't work with. There's also the discribed video, which means that I'd have headphones on to hear the narrated discriptions of visual actions on the screen.
