  • @Cuddle_RN ugh my starter husband was such low quality! It had a good body on it but the engine and overall personality of this product was just terrible. My upgrade is unbeatable!! Lol 😆

  • "It" lol!

My starter wife was a porcupine.

@Sheena123 I've tried the starter husband, and then upgraded to a older model hoping for more maturity.

Both units were defective in their own way. Totally not worth the time and effort I put into keeping things going.

Looking back with the benefit of counseling and perspective I should have seen them bedazzled in red flags like a used car lot.

I know better now. I just regret not having this knowledge earlier in my life

  • @KYtranspant I blame the shady salesperson

  • @KYtranspant i mean polyamory works for some of us because in order to make it work each individual has already done a lot of work on themselves to be better people. Also there’s lots of honesty and openness.

  • @KYtranspant, I was discussing the topic of regrets over starter spouses with a cuddle friend recently, specifically wishing I had not given so much of my life to mine, and he said something that really helped me. "At least you can walk away with a clear conscience knowing that you gave it your best. You didn’t half ass it, you whole assed it." 😁

  • @Cuddle_RN "whole assed it" 😂 I feel like I might use that one in the future. Can I use that one in the future? 😂

  • My dad used to say he wasn't slow, and he wasn't fast: he was half fast.

  • [Deleted User]KYtransplant (deleted user)

@Cuddle_RN I always whole ass everything I do.

  • This thread is so assome right now ! 😂

Since when did $75k cars and Nordstrom dress shirts become a bad thing? All kidding aside, the original poster comes off as a really odd duck to me. Just sayin.

I'm not sure where anyone said they were bad things?

  • Things I would maybe consider with opposite gender cuddle:
I won't poke you in the butt with my genitals if you little spoon with me.

Until I read that I'm probably a nah on snuggles with dudes. I get it's biological, no shame, but just not possible to have boundaries with that as a woman who has experienced trauma with males.

  • @thislittlelight sorry about the jackass bros who have caused you harm.

  • [Deleted User]DeadGirlWalking (deleted user)

@ShaneMTB unfortunately the number of women with that kinda of trauma is HIGH.

Side not, that is the prettiest donkey I have ever seen 😍😍😍 I love its fluffy ears, and its nose looks so sofffft. I bet it's a great snuggle buddy!

  • Since my experience with the starter model, I decide to walk for a while - a lot healthier, by the way ;)

  • Walking in the woods is good medicine ❤

  • My pledge, as a man, to the United States:

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

  • [Deleted User]MissX (deleted user)

    @MCcuddles2 👏👏👏👏 That's the one I learned

  • [Deleted User]TheZeroEffect (deleted user)

I pledge to attempt to pick up around my house a little before you come over.

  • Most women enthusiasts want to cuddle with someone who takes the gentle lead without being too anxious to meet quickly. Honest, genuine, articulate or at least able to convey how they feel about cuddling. No one with ill-concealed arrogance or impatience. No one treating cuddling like a transaction or has to hammer out exactly what they will be getting and can't be bothered about what they will be giving. Men with more heart than muscles or good tone. This pledge is off-putting. It has a "git 'er done" quality.

  • I’m thinking about writing a cuddling pledge on my lunch break today ✍️ , but if I do, it has to be with this song playing in the background -

  • @Tranquilescape

@CuddleDuncan the example you have is so amazing and what I think the majority of the pros strive to be. It’s so much more than we could even imagine for some that we meet with.

    @KozyKim

@CuddleDuncan I could definitely see that happening. If you have the right cuddler who really is caring for you, just being in a persons presence that cares, could release emotions.

You both nailed it. I have thoroughly enjoyed my cuddles with 4 different pros but I have only had this type of emotional release with one of them. She and I connected in a way that I cannot even describe with words and so many bottled up emotions / painful memories literally poured out of me. I felt like she could look right inside of me, into to the core of my being, and I felt pure agape love and understanding from her. It was the first time in decades that I felt safe enough to “let my guard down” and be 100% open and vulnerable with someone.

My reasons for sharing this with the whole community, especially those newer members of the community, are that…
    1) these type of experiences are unpredictable. I had no intention of crying or sharing deeply personal experiences / wounds with a pro cuddler. However, with the right person, we quickly developed a connection and level of trust that was beyond anything I could have imagined (by nature, I am not the type of person who opens up easily, and that was especially true when I first joined this site).

    2) I believe most, if not all, people carry emotional baggage / burdens and have personal struggles that even their closest friends and family might not know about. Those burdens / struggles / painful memories are like tree stumps in a reservoir just beneath the surface of the water. Depending on the water level, sometimes they are visible but usually they are not - but they are always there. Depending on the nature of the burden and the connection between the cuddlers, one or more of those “tree stumps” might be revealed during a cuddle and there could be a powerful emotional release.

It takes a very special person to know how to handle these situations and I am blessed that the pro I was with knew exactly how to proceed. Cuddling is sometimes much more than just a warm feeling and an oxytocin release. Under certain circumstances it can feel like “emotional surgery”.

I don’t mean for that to sound negative in any way (my experience was very healing and helpful) but I can definitely understand the man CuddleDuncan described in his story. None of us know what that man was going through in his personal life or what his relationship was like with his parents, former romantic partners, etc.
