@Connecticut1977 - with the right people, it’s really lovely. A bunch of folks on the same page about boundaries and consent piled onto a bunch of air mattresses covered with comforters and pillows watching Cosmos - my idea of heaven.

I was just thinking about those Victorian era photos from an article by Maria Sofou, about men posing affectionately with their male friends. I think it would be a good project to replicate those photos with contemporary people. Did people already do that? I would, if I had friends willing to do that. I think the hangups about it show that culturally we are in a transition, in a process of liberalizing and acknowledging gayness but we haven't gotten over fear of it.
@UCpaaHVg6u0 Thank you for sharing perspectives! It’s encouraging to see many people (especially men), opening up to the idea of sharing affection with many different types of people. Despite our similarities and or differences, we can all benefit from human connection (in general), whether in person and or online from others.

I will admit I am a little apprehensive about cuddling men. There is one I trust on here and would love to cuddle with him again, but I have had some advances towards me by men that I don't want. Just my own personal life experience. So, that puts me not feeling as safe with regards to that. I am not on here for dating, sexual intimacy, or getting attached in an unhealthy way. Purely platonic is what I want.
@AndrewSnugs I completely understand your thought process. I am here for platonic touch and not at all for any kind of gratification or going out of bounds. I believe in being a healer.
I am totally open to this! I think it can be fantastic actually, and quite neutrally soothing as I feel that some elements of similarity can create a natural ease before, during and after the session.
Sadly, this hasn’t been requested of me, but I think its a fab idea
Alike what other people have said here is that , everyone is deserving of cuddles, and this is a NON-judgment zone always (as every cuddle should be! 💙💕

@BuggleBear: Well, the point is, it didn't used to matter. You could hire a photographer to take a picture of you sitting in your buddy's lap and it wouldn't give anything away even if you were gay, because straight boys posed like that too. It was just, you know, normal. For everybody.
Which is kinda cool.

Unfortunately, the reasons you don’t feel safe cuddling men are the same reasons women don’t feel safe cuddling men.

Bro-hug, regular hug, not cuddling. I have a couple guys in my life who appreciate that I give them genuine hugs and 1 who has spoken his appreciation. But, I get the best chemical reactions when cuddling with women.

For me, I express myself differently around other men than I do around women. That goes with physical contact too. Play wrestling, punching each other on the arm, that's what guys do. It's still physical contact, it's just different from how it is between me and women.
But I shouldn't be talking about fight club.
I have, and it was lovely! Would do it again 100% with the right guy. I found it scratched an itch I wouldn't usually get scratched with femme folks. Really nice.
