I so agree with the comment about inactive members. Why do we need to scroll thru girls who don't even check their account for more than a year or two at a time? And how about the ones who dont even get back to you?
I said the same thing to Mark about nonpro males a while back when I was having difficulty finding local guys in my area. Lots and lots and lots of profiles of guys who hadn't logged on in six months to several years. Apparently he does not see it as a problem.
Just wondering if anything was decided about inactive accounts? Was just browsing around and notice some haven't been on here for 8-12 months and a few pros haven't been on for 6-9 months.
Mentioned about this here: "Pros who are generally inactive though is a problem and there will be an auto-deactivation feature implemented in the near future for that."
Non-pros is a different issue and for now I'm leaning towards not forcibly deactivating. This is a niche community so some people come on and then leave after realising there isn't anyone near them. That's until there is someone near them. There are countless stories of people messaging old accounts for them to return due to email notifications.
No recent visits to the site doesn't necessarily mean unavailability or lack of interest. People who haven't been online in a long time may have just stopped checking the site because they weren't getting replies, but are still interested in cuddling and have email notifications turned on to let them know if someone attempts to contact them. I was one of them for 3 or 4 months when nothing was happening for me here besides reading arguments on the forum that seem to have cleared up now. I came back because people started messaging me again, which triggered emails that let me know.
^^ Case in point!
Well that's one vote vs 3 right before it.
As stated before at least they're placed in order of activity so that's something.
But I'm still putting in my pesky request to be able to search according to recent activity (online now, within a day, within a week, etc). I do know that it shows that on someone's profile tho so just being picky.
This is my preferred solution.
Dear All I contact people who have not been on the site for years let alone weeks or months and I get a reply hit rate of about 30%, I also contact people in out of the way places, China, Russia, India, I know it is only as a penpal but you never know, on my next world trip I may visit and cuddle. Love peace and happiness, John and his trees Auckland NZ.
ways to improve: 1. Women need to be clear if they are pros asking for money. so not wasting people's time
I would like some ability to hide my profile from people above a certain age or distance for example because 50 year old dudes from LA don't need to be looking at my profile imo.
@bobbieesther May you never experience ageism, but it you do, may you be more graceful than you are now.
I'm not ageist I just am uncomfortable with older people touching me. A scar left from my parents.
I'd like to hide my profile from left handed Ivy League graduates. They are all looking at me.
@bobbieesther It seems you may have been misunderstood by the way you worded your initial post. As someone who will be 40 next year, I don't look at the profiles of younger people to be a creep. I'm just genuinely curious about people, regardless of age or background. I think it's fun to learn about others. I hear where you're coming from, though, and I'm sorry to hear that your upbringing resulted in being uncomfortable being touched by older people. Please feel free to message me sometime if you would like to talk about it. No worries if not, though.
Regarding the request of @bobbieesther I've only seen one site do something somewhat similar and that's Plenty of Fish(shudders). Anyone can view the profile but you must match the preferred sex, race and age to be able to send a message to that person.
@bondman45, enthusiasts who ask for money to cuddle are acting as untagged pros, and you could report them to Admin as such. It's a deceptive business practice, the classic bait & switch.
@Greybeard, You're imagining things. It's the ambidextrous ones, trust me.
@Mark, any chance of adding a search by location feature rather than making us edit our profile to a new location? That process is kind of clunky for those of us who travel frequently. I'm planning a cross-country drive next year, and the thought of changing my location to a dozen different cities to see who is along the way doesn't seem nearly as user-friendly.
@VIPirate. I agree. I don't have any intentions towards most of the profiles I scan. I like to see what's going on around me. I'm an observer of people. I check out new (new to me) profiles of people who are near me, I checkout the profiles of people who have posted in the forums when I think that reading their profile might help me to understand the posting. And while reading forums, it is not unusual for me to absent minded click the name of the most recent author rather than the title of the thread. I admit to being overly noses, to the extent that i will nose down a message to people who have said something that i find interesting, sometimes offering unsoliced advice. I wonder why anyone would expect absolute privacy on an open public website.
@chococuddles Pros having their fee displayed is optional for the moment.
@quietman775 I share your frustration. It will be coming and is high on the list. I would expect by end of year.
@bondman45 Please report the accounts. They will either be banned or helped to progress in an official way.
@Mark Is there a way to search the forum for posts made by a particular person? Using the search function only brings up references to that person made by others. That would be a useful function if it could be added.
Also, I suggest that this post be stickied.
Not search but you can see a user's post history which might be helpful. Just enter the username you want at the end instead of mine:

I... really like the original suggestion: "Suggestions: Have an option to blur our pictures for anonymity and we can later allow other users to see if they interest us. Much better than a blank profile. Also beats the hassle of exchanging emails or texts just to share a picture with a stranger."
I work in a clinic; I'd like to have a photo up, since I feel it would be helpful (if for no other reason than the fact that people will often search only for those who have photos!) - but at the same time I have reasons stated for not wanting to be recognized.
I used to be a programmer - there should be a way to send a link to someone that will only work for a limited duration (during which our photos would be clearly visible, but ONLY to that person to whom we sent the link). This is the most common type of thing that is done, but certainly not the only way to do it.
Another way to do it would be to have the clear version of the photos visible only to those profiles for whom we have specifically added to the "Approved" list (or whatever you want to call it). Simply put, if your profile name is on someone's approved list, then you can view their photos. Once the name is removed, you can't. I like this method better, because it lets the person with the photos feel like they are the ones controlling the release of information. Personally, I've never been a fan of sending links, because I never know who might intercept the link. But a list of approved persons, on the other hand, is very appealing.
Thoughts?
The default placeholder user image could be less sterile, less reminding of restroom signs, and much more "cuddly".
There are getting to be too many off-topic threads posted. Either they should have their own forum or perhaps should not be allowed.
I feel awkward aproaching people from my country, becasue in my mind I'm supposed to speak English on this site, but I know these people might prefer I use my own language. Could an option to select prefered languages be implemented to the profiles?
@BlueIris I don't think off-topic threads shouldn't be allowed. It's a good opportunity to get to know the other members and find out if you have more in common than a profile could tell you. But I do like the idea of giving off topic threads their own forum.
Just in case you're not aware, the English rule is only intended for the forum. You should feel free to talk to people from your own country in your native language.
@BlueIris Agreed. Some of the threads and tangents are less than stellar - and downright rank.
The problem is, and will be, that one person tosses in an off-target remark in an otherwise on-topic post, and another reads it and responds to the stray comment rather than the whole post. It’s hard to prevent.
@BlueIris - If OT had it's own forum then what should General be used for? Maybe cuddle-based threads only? Ain't hatin' that idea.
Get to keep frivolous OT threads around and keep threads on the main page cuddle-centered.
Splitting the categories like that is always the plan but it's about choosing the right time. Do it too early and it really can affect activity negatively.
But in regards to on-topics going off-topic, I think that can be solved by having one main off-topic thread where other conversations can be merged into.
@chococuddles Yes, that was my thought.
