Hello! I was just curious about what consists of public cuddling and where in public you would do this. Has any one had experience with this?
Wide variety of possibilities. The most significant example in my own experience was a picnic: we chatted and had the picnic, then cuddled on the blanket. In the end I fell asleep while she lay half on top of me. It was lovely.
On other occasions it's been as simple as holding hands for a moment while walking down the street.
I’ve cuddled in a car and it was much better than I expected. Picnic or walk on beach. Sitting in a park is cool too.
Cuddling in a car is fine until you hit the sixth gear.
I’ve cuddled in the park. It wasn’t too hot out but we did have to leave due to unplanned rain. Still ended up being a great cuddle.
Movie theaters with double recliners are a fabulous place to cozy up.
Also just a wall to lean against works.
The car can be great, as it's sem-public yet feels private. I like to twist in the passenger seat and lay my head back in my boyfriend's lap. Or you can both lay in the back seat.
Sitting on the same side at restaurants or picnic benches also works well.

Iv done car cuddles, outside cuddles and coffee house couch cuddles.. most of the times I was slightly uncomfortable becauseI'm kindov shy about pda. My favorite though was coffee house couch cuddles which was just sitting close and leaning against eachother while in conversation!!
I’ve done a movie cuddle in an older movie theater where you could lift the arm rest in between the seats and sit nice and tight together, that is no longer the case because most movie theaters have personal loungers and other than holding hands you can’t really get close together with your cuddle buddy. I’ve done a park cuddle and a beach cuddle just sitting in the sand with the breeze flowing and it felt nice. And I’ve done a car cuddle in the back seat, it was surprisingly good, even though quarters were tight and we fogged up the windows. I’ve also done the drive in movie cuddle where we didn’t watch the movie but mostly cuddled in the back part of the SUV where I had laid out some blankets and a couple of pillows.
My sessions do not consist of just cuddling. I try to be creative in other types of Platonic Touch to offer clients. I've done overnight camping sessions on river banks, movie theaters of course, partner yoga in the park, walking meditation while hand holding, storytelling in the library on cushions. However, I do not think I've ever cuddled in the car. I would love to buy a utility truck/van and convert it to a cozy, cuddly caravan. 😊 How fun would that be?
Hammock cuddles are the best public cuddles in my opinion!
Last fall, I did all of my cuddles at a park. I kept a thick blanket and a few outdoor pillows in the back of my car and would use them for cuddle sessions at a park. I found a few locations at nearby parks that were semi-private areas and it worked wonderfully.

I have cuddled in the back of my jeep, before I sold it, at a movie theater and at a park bench after holding hands during a nice walk.
This thread has me reconsidering the idea of public cuddling....
@herby357 it's nice to see somebody thinking about things they have read on the forum, and contemplating changing their outlook on the basis of it. Wish we had more of that!
But I have to ask, reconsidering in which direction?
@cuddleduncan I rejected the idea of public cuddling out of hand because I didn't think I could achieve a reasonable level of vulnerability in a setting that isn't private. Seems it might be possible from some of the posts in this thread.
Most of my cuddle sessions happen "in public" these days. I have a few sessions in homes or hotels, but the majority take place in the back of my truck with a scenic view at the top of a trailhead or an abandoned parking lot or along a river. I lay all of the seats down in my Land Cruiser, put down a couple of camping pads, a flannel lined canvas sleeping bag, a sheet, a fuzzy blanket and a few pillows. Backing into the spot I want to look at and we flip flop between laying our heads to the head of the vehicle and at the bottom of my tailgate. It's quite fun!
@justjennn Thats so funny. I have a similar set up at my house. I do memory foam on the living room floor with comfy pretty bedding. I'll have to show you sometime. Our pillows and comforter are similar too. haha

In Dutch cities like Leiden and Amsterdam, you have tour boats that take you through the canals. They're perfect for a cuddle.
A few weeks back I had a cuddle with a friend under the cherry blossom trees. That was an awesome place to cuddle as well. Great for a picknick.
