Meet Teresa. Last night she emerged from her burrow for the first time.
Interesting. I don't know anything about spiders. Why did she emerge for the first time? Are you able to identify gender of spiders or did someone tell you?
@achetocuddle the seller told me she’s female. But idk if she’s guessing that or knows that.
But her nickname is Terry so she has a unisex name anyway in case she’s a boy.
And Idk why she emerged, maybe she hungry and looking for insects to eat.

@Merida001 - My wife and I had a tarantula for several years. We fed him live crickets, which can be obtained at many pet shops. Tarantulas don't drink much, but she should have water available. Also, he would most likely do better in a cage at least twice as big as th one that he's in.
Ours was a Mexican red-knee. We named him Hairy Harry, although I have no idea what sex he was. Do you know what species Terry is? Harry became quite tame. If we would place a hand flat down in his cage, he would climb right on. He seemed to enjoy having his "fur" stroked.
At the time, my wife was teaching pre-school, and kept him in her class room during the week. The little kids loved to hold him. The mothers, weren't so sure. He never bit anybody, but a tarantula's hairs can prick the skin, and some people seem to have an allergic reaction.
@GreatHornedOwl I DO have a bigger container for her. I’m just not ready to move her over yet because it’s not ready yet. On Saturday I’m going to the beach with my support worker to gather some sand aswell as pieces of nature like rock, driftwood, bone, coral, sticks, etc for her to climb on. She’ll be in a bigger space soon.
Since you live in Australia, I thought about asking if you caught your spider yourself before you mentioned you bought her.
Did the seller show you Teresa out of her container before you bought? How did that work? I will not be buying a spider, so I will have to live vicariously thru you.

I had a rose hair tarantula named hairy whodini a black emperor scorpion named Dwayne the rock Johnson and both were super docile and would sit in my hand for hours if I let them .
