Is platonic cuddling someone who is married wrong?

I am not judging, just interested in different viewpoints that’s all.

No. Marriages can be improved upon and made better. However, safety may be something to consider.

Everyone has their own marriages, sense of morality and ethics; everyone is at a different place with dealing with jealousy and their own insecurities, so it’s personal and up to everyone individually to work out their own relationships. My wife knows when I’m cuddling with someone else.

Personally, I'm not comfortable with it.

  • I literally cuddle “Everyone” many diverse cultures, genders, relationship statuses and etc. My girlfriend and I understand each other’s touch needs, so we approve of each other cuddling other people of our own choices. We are each other’s biggest support systems and cheer each other on (cuddling wise). This is my situation but situations could change from person to person.

  • I am a monogamous person at heart. Cheating makes me extremely uncomfortable. Cuddling someone else while in a relationship, to me, is cheating. However, some people have different boundaries within their relationship. As a professional, I will cuddle anyone that's married as long as their partner knows and approves of what they're doing. I have cuddled a man who wanted me to be his mistress though, which made me deeply upset and sad for his wife (I know for a fact she didn't know and would not have approved of his behaviors.) I don't think I would initually turn down a cuddle from someone who was not ethically cuddling while in a relationship or married but I would also not want to foster any further friendship with said person and might not see then again afterwards. It depends on their behaviors during the cuddle session though as many have tried to push beyond platonic boundaries.

  • @Bunny_Kisses You seem like you try to make a deliberate and thoughtful decision regarding this. I appreciate what you had to say. Makes me look forward to more of your posts.

This is one of those Ground Hog’s Day questions that comes up repeatedly and has been discussed to death. Perhaps this is another topic that should have a master thread that it gets merged into when it gets brought up again. Perhaps there should be a list of Frequently Brought Up Topics.
