@cuddlewisher123 @jon5821 Aren’t you adorable to perceive my position as a professional cuddler to be equal to that of a therapist??? Therapists have years of schooling for the profession they are in. In addition, in their sessions with their clients, they don’t have their clients breathing on their neck, feeling a clients erection from behind them, or laying down in an unknown setting completely unaware of how or what else is behind those doors along with the stranger they are about to meet. Mind you, a professional therapist can elect at any time to no longer see a client or decide if they are not seeking my new clients. No one balks at this. They just move on to the next. Am I a professional? Yes. Am I also a human being that has complete rights over my body and who I decide to share my energy with? Absolutely. The way that you were coming off is that I just need to shut up and get paid to cuddle and not worry about how I’m being treated upfront. I completely disagree with you and I think maybe you need to reevaluate what a professional cuddler potentially put some self in every time they interact with a new potential client. I don’t care if you are a plumber, a doctor or a McDonald’s employee—every person deserves to be treated like a human and with common courtesy.

  • @Mama_Ang - Agree. Therapists have the protection of being in an office. I'd be too afraid to even drive for Uber. I don't know what pyschos I would invite into my car. A lack of social skills especially online shouldn't be a red flag in itself though. Maybe a public meeting first to get a feel of who the person really is.

  • It’s almost like people are diverse and have different communication styles…

  • [Deleted User]Mama_Ang (deleted user)

@MrMarkAndrew Or no communication skills at all.

  • It’s almost like people are diverse and have different communication styles…

I don’t often agree with you, but I do on this. Pros have diverse wants on communication as well.

  • I have tried both ways and I get some harsh responses a lot of times, some cuddlers do not want "small talk" and have told me they are not on here to be friends. Then I get into conversations like this where I am told I am rude. Like damned if I do damed if I dont situation.

  • @mike1974 Yes, it can feel that way sometimes. I am lucky, I have some established people I see and I am pretty much sticking with them and a few enthusiasts I know. Once you have a good cuddle partner it is really best to stick with them. My problem is I travel a lot so sometimes there are locations devoid of any good choices. Other times, my cup runneth over.

  • @mike1974 - It has been mentioned that it's okay to ask for a session in the first message as long as you properly introduce yourself first and not "free tonight?" or any other message that makes you seem desperate or pushy.

Here is a good prompt for your first message.

    @MCcuddles2 Nailed it! 💯

@FunCartel I’ve been reading your responses and think you’re a gem. If you ever travel to Los Angeles, I’ll cuddle the heck out of ya

@Mike403 You have been contributing the most solid feedback. I just want you to know I feel your support and I appreciate you so much.

  • @Mama_Ang I was just out in LA and Pasadena in April, but I go there a few times a year. One of my favorite places to go, especially when I feel the urgency to visit clients between January-March. 🤣🤣🤣

  • @Mama_Ang

I don’t care if you are a plumber, a doctor or a McDonald’s employee—every person deserves to be treated like a human and with common courtesy.

    Perfectly stated.
I practice kindness with every person I interact with. Please, thank you, hello, have a beautiful day are a constant in my vocabulary. I can't imagine ever contacting someone and feeling entitled to their attention/services when I haven't greeted them, much less for a personal service like cuddling. If you start off a conversation with an impersonal "u available" with me you're going to receive the same dry ass energy in return. No apologies.

@Rezz We are on the same page in the same book 💯

  • @Rezz @Mama_Ang - I book doctors appointments by going online and using their booking system. I wonder how many try that here without talking to you first thinking it's the same.

  • @Mike403
    Alot.

Now I have accepted a few bookings without so much as a hello and I kindly let them know I need to screen before any proposals are accepted. These are typically new members who may be unaware that there's a process. It's why I have always included in my profile to reach out if they have any questions or would like to discuss a session. This hints heavily that prior communication is preferred. They usually apologize and tell me what they are looking for. Easy peasy. Many don't fully read profiles and I have come to accept that. 🤣 I have booked quite a few who have sent proposals without an initial message and they were all wonderful.

It's the 3-4 word messages with zero information / greeting treating me like a fast food drive thru that are an instant decline.

  • A lot of good comments & responses here, p.m’s don’t delete unless a user deactivates / ect … curious to look back & see how my approach was when I was new now.

    "Good afternoon!

I hope you are doing well.

I, personally, am feeling a bit nervous, but I really hope that you are professional enough to be patient with me, and help me through this process.

Please know that I sincerely mean you no disrespect, and of course no physical harm or emotional trauma.

In fact, please, let me know how best to communicate my needs to you while being completely respectful of your autonomy, boundaries, and potential safety."

    "... Sir, this is a Wendy's."

  • The way pros get shamed here is just sad.

To the occasional man who is admittedly not very good at communication via text/chat/screens, by all means, feel free to copy and paste the following opener...

    "Good evening, (their name)

My name is (your name), and I am living in (your town) which the site says is (the miles) miles away.

I read through your profile and I wanted to reach out to you in hopes of getting to know each other, and leading to our meeting and cuddling.

Can you please tell me what your process for getting to know someone like me is, and how I can help you to feel respected, and above all, safe?

    Thank you very much.

I look forward to hearing from you, and I wish you a pleasant evening,

    -(your name)"

Fill in the blanks, and REALLY, read through their profile.
It will explain a great deal, hopefully.

    Best of luck everyone!

  • @GoodRightHook not gonna lie, that’s pretty good lol. I would love a message like that 🤣

  • Me too @Sheena123.

And different people can get me different ways. I'm good at sensing authenticity, which is mostly what I'm looking for. A short authentic message will get my attention. Unless you are authentically unkind, etc. Obviously. Get tired of stating the obvious, but it seems to be necessary.

When I glanced quickly at the latest forum topics scrolling by, I thought I was reading "Do People Just Lack Social Skills and Good Old Fashion Sense". 😆

  • [Deleted User]Mama_Ang (deleted user)

@GoodRightHook THIS!!! One hundred percent THIS!! 🧡

  • [Deleted User]Mama_Ang (deleted user)

@Moxytocin I actually just laughed out loud! You’re absolutely adorable 🥹

  • @GoodRightHook that is an amazing introduction! But like achetocuddle mentions, hopefully it doesn’t hide peoples true intentions … I rather see someone’s real expression / reaction, than to go through with a booking with someone who turns out to be nothing what they portrayed from an awesome copy/paste.

  • [Deleted User]GoodRightHook (deleted user)

    @cuddles_ndream

I understand your point, but at some level isn't that what "social skills" are?

Simply a way to smooth out, or often outright hide, our baser, perhaps more selfish and animal, impulses and desires behind the veneer of training and ritual?

Like deodorant and breath mints, but for words, body language, and actions?

At base, everyone here wants human connection, affection, and attention. In short, a hug.

Sure, some people here want to take advantage of that, or want to demand or cajole more than that, but I would encourage everyone (professionals and enthusiasts alike) to TRUST that inner voice if it whispers to you of discomfort, danger, or even general bad vibes/creepiness.

  • @GoodRightHook I want to cuddle you. This is why I like watching people interact on the board. You learn so much about how they really treat people.
