Do people genuinely want to cuddle on here?

  • What @JohnR1972 said. I do love me some civil discourse.

  • @UCpaaHVg6u0 all are just different experiences. I try not to rank suffering between different experiences. All we can really know and understand is our own and to say one group is suffering more, it inevitably invalidates someone else's experience as being "not so bad" because "at least" they're not in that group who generally suffers more. Inspired by Brene Brown, I have tried to essentially obliterate "at least" from my vocabulary and mental processes and to validate each person's experience and trust them for knowing their own feelings. Even two people with the same experience will feel it differently, because they have different history and thus different brains reacting to the experience. It can be true that the elderly experience gradual disconnection over time as they lose their social connections through people passing away and any children going off with their own families etc, but I couldn't say their experience is worse or better than someone else's. There are way too many factors, including factors which only exist in a person's own mind which no one else would ever be aware of. Similarly, I try not to justify my own pain by telling myself it's worse than other people's. I have no idea the pain other people feel. I can get an idea through conversation, but I still will never truly know, without being in their mind with them. All I can do is hear them and sit with them in it.

@JohnR1972 I try the best I can, but will never be perfect and do make mistakes sometimes. πŸ˜‡πŸ’œ

@ubergigglefritz I never made any comparisons about who suffers more or less. Really, let's stick with my actual words, okay?
If you doubt that older people lose connections, go visit a nursing home. I don't even know what your issue is with what I said, but you claim that I was dismissing people who are lonely for reasons other than age. I was just saying that getting older is tough when people start to think you can't relate because you talk differently and don't understand young culture. Also people can be horrified by what nature does physically in the process of aging, and just being around older people sometimes depresses younger folks because they are reminded of their mortality. I'm reminded of it when I look in the mirror. That's life!

  • @UCpaaHVg6u0
    1. I never said you are ranking different suffering. I said I try not to.
    2. I never doubted that older people lose connections. I actually said it's true.
    3. I did feel experience was dismissed with the phrase of "maybe at your age you're not seeing that yet", as being equivalent to "you have no idea what real disconnection means", but I am admittedly sensitive to that.
    4. I completely understand the concept of disconnection as one ages and I'm sad to hear that you experience people not wanting to be around you because of the age difference. It is very unfortunate. 😞

I agree that loneliness has no age requirements.

That said, the longer you have been alone the less real the possibility of connecting with anyone seems.

And, as far too many of us learn, connection does have age requirements, on both sides of the bell curve.

  • Okay. Glad that's settled.

  • @JohnR1972 , I agree!

@Jenessence , I am here to strictly cuddle/hangout and hopefully improve some's wellbeing by doing so <3

  • @JasonCuddles I haaaaate copper in Minecraft lol just awful 🀣🀣 it’s everywhere

  • @JasonCuddles @Sheena123 i actually haven’t played since they added copper, so I may have inflicted a self burn on myself if it’s super abundant πŸ˜…

  • @quixotic_life I would probably join an organization dangerously close to a cult if it had some sort of structure which guaranteed cuddle security πŸ˜‚πŸ˜¬

@abugg51 one of the best things about cuddling is that it's reciprocal πŸ‘

  • I can verify. I saw a girl try to set up shop for her stuff here (we're talkin girl bared all on the first profile pic), flagged it, and within 5 minutes, poof she was gone. Ive done one session through here, but I'm picky and had been looking for a regular, and everyone that actually responds seems to get that this site isn't for selling those parts of your body.

Beauty is still appreciated, and yeah, I'm still a straight guy and get distracted by all the same parts, but I and all your actually active people here actually don't want "that". I know in my case, if I wanted that, there are sites that are for that (don't ask, not promoting) and I'm 27, I could just go to a bar if I was wanting something as simple as sex. I'm here because finding someone who will stay the night with me in a hotel without pushing things to sex or creating that obligation is actually freaking hard. Add to it that I have a preference for cuddling women that I find beautiful, and it becomes incredibly difficult to find that niche person out and about that doesn't see or hear that and go "oh you just want this" try and do "that" and I wind up left there disappointed af bc I just want someone to get tangled up into, not 5 min of half*** (or even full effort) foreplay and then all the actual intimate part of intimacy going out the window.

Every pro (and enthusiast for that matter) I've talked to on here seems to get that, so if you're looking for that, this is the right place, even if you've talked to folks that don't get it. Most people here do, you'll get in touch with them soon, I'm sure. Thank you for listening to me rant, I hope everyone has a great day :)

Yeah, it's a rare treat to get a good rant!

  • Speaking of cynical, a man will rant about what a burden it is to be conflicted about his sexual desires colliding with his higher self, and then blame a woman for showing too much skin because it makes him feel uncomfortable. I can see one big reason why being a woman is a very narrow path sometimes. She will be rewarded for pandering to a man's sexual desires, but also blamed for it. And so many women were taught this at a very young age.

  • @UCpaaHVg6u0 Wow, deep thoughts; much to ponder, here.

    ~ Sunset Snuggles

  • @SunsetSnuggles There's a whole ocean of πŸ’© that comes from that premise. Some people are finally seeing it and trying to fix it, but too many are dumping into that ocean. Sorry if that's too oblique to make sense of.

  • I honestly don't like the dichotomy of "sexual desires" vs "higher self"

There's responsible sex and not responsible sex. There's being attracted to someone and being a creep about it. We are humans, not animals.

People are responsible for their own actions.

Now, do I think it's a smart idea to walk through Sugarland at 2 in the morning with a stack of cash hanging out my pocket? No. That's dumb. Doesn't mean the guy picking my pockets can blame me for his pocket picking, but it also doesn't make me not an idiot. What I like about this site in this analogy is that it's like 4 in the afternoon in a fancy gated neighborhood. Hanging your cash out is still dumb, but you're less likely to be taken advantage of.

@PantSeatPilot It's not that you did anything wrong by reporting what seemed like blatant solicitation contrary to rules here. And you aren't alone as a hetero man who still is interested in sex but is here for platonic cuddling. But now you're bringing up the classic "blame the victim" argument that defense attorneys use in rape trials. The money hanging out of the pocket is what? The object of your temptation? I was really commenting on society and where it puts women when we talk about sexual attraction, the "money" that tempts one to "steal". You didn't say anything wrong, but my impression was that you are really enjoying some male privilege that allows you to feel ambivalent and express your desires and weakness, while you write off those with the "money hanging out" as merely temptations. Women are trafficked and brutalized to be that "money", and how women get to that role is extremely ugly. I just wanted to point that out.

The Chick I reported had nipples out, mentioned quick visits and specific sexual services. There's no "she was just showing skin for attention". The report was just she was on the wrong site. There are sites for that. She ain't evil for selling it, just incorrect for selling it here.

There's no "victim blaming" happening here, and I don't like trafficking being brought up so quickly, especially as a Texas resident who has to actually watch that happen in front of his face.

You are absolved of all guilt. Go cuddle in the knowledge that all is well in your world. 🎻
