Playland At The Beach, San Francisco. Really fun amusement park now full of condominiums.

  • Zodys & Gemco

An arcade in Dundalk that used to be a single movie theatre, now something inconsequential & unknown since I haven't been in the area in 20+ years... & the mirrored footbridges & fountains by Harborplace that are long gone.

Cartoons at the movies prior to the feature film.

  • Also, kind of a general answer but I miss all the mom & pops in the city & gems that gave us a sense of community that were forced to shut down the last couple of years & are being replaced now by 7 elevens / Taco Bell’s & the likes.

  • [Deleted User]Bixi (deleted user)

@cuddles_ndream yes! Makes me very sad some of my favorite diners are gone & replaced with things no one wanted or asked for. lol

    @Bixi taco bell has specials .. 3 Tacos 🌮 & a chalupa for $4.95 I guess 🫤

Reminds me of this authentic Italian pizzeria that was there since as far back as I could remember, forced to shut down, they actually made the best pizza / garlic bread / Italian icy’s, & now there’s a little ceasars there 🤦‍♂️

Edit: but I do like little ceasars commercials so I do give ‘em that 🤭

@cuddles_ndream I like Taco Bell, but since we're on that topic - they stopped making/selling majority of the items I enjoyed. Also, the food/sauces do not taste the same at all.

I'd rather eat at my favorite taqueria or diner than a cardboard tasting fast food joint for sure. Nothing beats that homemade soul food taste or cozy atmosphere. Pizza Hut failed us when they took away our fire pits & the frosted red cups. 😂

  • @Bixi taco bell wouldn’t be so bad, if the soda wasn’t diluted in 40% water 😅 their chicken quesadilla with sour cream & like 4 packs of their mild sauce added is magic lol 😂, I just wished it didn’t replaced one of the best restaurants in the neighborhood 🥺

As far as pizza chain goes , everyone knows Pizza Hut was as closest as you can possibly get to authentic …. Don’t even get me started with dominos lol, dominos Buffalo wings were actually good when I was 13, that feels like a whole life time ago now, those wings I don’t think are even wings anymore 🫤 nah I’ll pass … I want cozy / authentic / beer lol

There was a water park near my birthplace in Southern Alberta which is now gone. Called Riverside Waterslide. It now sits abandoned as of 2020. I believe I went once...or if I didn't, my mother really wanted to take me on one of our trips. Oh, and speaking of places in Medicine Hat (where I was born), Ton O' Fun was my favourite play center. I only got to go once. Never stepped foot into a Chuck E Cheese's except once for a birthday party when I was a teen, and then about 10 years later when I was an operations manager for one. :) That Chuck E Cheese's still exists however.

On the north side of Chicago there was an amusement park called Riverview. My favorite rides were "Silver Flash", and Te Bobs, which were both typical roller coasters. "Flying Turns" which was very atypical ride. Instead of running on a track like a normal roller coaster, it ran through a channel that looked like a bobsled track. To this day, I can remember the tremendous G-forces in the curves.

@cuddles_ndream they do have funny commercials, especially in the 90's. lol

From experience of working in Taco Bell in my youth, I swear only us managers knew how to properly hook up the soda syrup so it wasn't all seltzer. 😅 Quesadillas & Quesaritos are bomb with extra cheese & sour cream. I don't like the Chipotle sauce, but that creamy jalapeño is tasty. lol

Pizza Hut personal pan was my favorite, honestly it's cutting it close to Little Caesar's texture/taste these days.

Chicken wings have definitely shrunk & I'm not even sure they're chicken anymore.🥲🤣

  • Do you know what I miss from Pizza Hut @Bixi? The salad bars. I swear they had the best damned salad bar you could find in any town. Lol.

  • Bookstores, music stores, and toy stores in the mall .

  • This ride at Walt Disney World.

  • [Deleted User]Bixi (deleted user)

@Catloaf yes! Columbia location has a salad bar, but there is NEVER anything in it when I've gone, it's infuriating. 😅

Sol's Toy Store in Stamford, CT. A lot of happy memories of that place.

  • @Bixi we aren’t able to post camera roll videos here, but my best friends younger cat (Luna) would eat absolutely anything … she eats pasta 🍝 chicken/ steak / rice / she even took a bite out of bread 🍞 once lol she even likes French fries …. She literally passed on dominos wings and that’s all I need to know lol 😂 😂

  • [Deleted User]Bixi (deleted user)

@cuddles_ndream lmao that's right, pets & babies are the authority on that. 😂

  • Does anyone remember Cicis pizza? 😄 All you can eat pizza 🍕/ pasta 🍝/ salad 🥗 / desserts 🍨 for $6.99 & if you wanted a cup of soda you just paid $1.99? I first stumbled upon it In Virginia … I couldn’t believe it & I would tell my buddies there that There will never be a Cicis in New York City & I was willing to bet … not because its expensive here, (because you can always adjust the pricing) but because the concept of having all that unlimited stuff will not work, people will abuse it! …. over consumerism is a thing here lol add to that the munchies & everyone trying to stretch a dollar as much as they can it just won’t work! Well I guess Cicis set out to prove me wrong and opened one in nyc … in the bronx … in gunhill road of all places 😅😂😂 I had to be mid 20’s, I remember telling my entire circle about it & what the concept was (mind you they’re all smokers I’m the only one that isn’t) we made it a thing to all go Atleast once a week because I guaranteed them they won’t last a full year (it didn’t last a full 8 months). It was good while it lasted 😌

  • @Bixi yes they really are! lol

  • @cuddles_ndream - We still have a Cici's Pizza buffet and it's still cheap.

  • You’re right! I’m here on the Cicis website & they completely removed the state of New York 😂

  • [Deleted User]Bixi (deleted user)

@cuddles_ndream there's 1 cici's I know of & it's in the sticks, but I have never been. Always crave Hibachi. lol

  • @Bixi i thought they would have it out in the sticks here too, (the city I get it, shouldn’t have been here in the 1st place ) but maybe upstate & certain places I’m L.I., but they said nope, you guys can’t have a good thing ! (But I tried to warn them) 😂

No place that I remember as a kid still exists, but that is fine, because that kid doesn't exist anymore either.

You cannot step into the same stream twice.

  • @Raeona I hope you find your mental happy place again! Awww.

  • Celebrity Sports Center

Back in elementary school we actually had a once a year school field trip there,

    It was treated like Christmas!

  • Toys R Us, Borders, Block Buster, TLA, Happy Tymes (a local family fun center with a giant jungle gym that was the place to be back in the day) .
