I just found out that Microsoft Flight Simulator supports Virtual Reality. It's hidden in the settings. You put a headset on and select it. I think I died and gone to heaven. I wasn't sure if it was going to perform well, but it does. The immersion and realism is unbelievable.
I can imagine, The Star wars squadron game worked really well in VR as well. Which reminds me, I still need to finish the half life vr game
I still can't get over how realistic MS Flight Simulator is in VR. It feels like sitting in the cockpit of a real aircraft. It also maps the land using satellite data so you can fly to any actual place including your house.
Am a PC gamer, if you can call my rig that. It's 3 office computers I bought for about 70$ scrapped for parts and shoved into the least-dented tower I had lol. I mostly just play Minecraft and colony management games like Dwarf Fortress though so thankfully a beefy PC isn't necessary
I've heard a lot of good stuff about dwarf fortress but I've yet to take a look at it.

Years ago way before covid I remember there was this church Community Center I used to go to. There I made friends with the kids who would play Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos and Counter Strike on the community centers computers. It was a great place to go to and quite frankly kept me off the streets of South Boston. Thinking back on it I remember I would give myself cool names like Lt. Eagle or Gungnir. Another one of the kid's, and his girlfriend, would give themselves the stupidest names such as Wasted Penis, Suicidal Scrotum, Vagina Coastguard, Pedophile Priest, etc. In fact the nun who is in charge, Sister Ann got mad at both of them for using the name Pedophile Priest because mind you this was around the time the Catholic Church sex scandal was happening and she thought it was in bad taste. Regardless of what I feel about that whole thing I thought it was hilarious how stupid their names were and how I was giving myself cool names, or at least I think they're cool.
@JasonCuddles it's a really fun and in-depth game but the learning 'curve' is 90° lol
I'm too lazy to play anything, sometimes, I play Rocket League or Goat Simulator.
My PC is 10 years old, intel i7 3770, 32gb ram, ssd 120 for gentoo linux, ssd 240 for w11 (mbr / no secure boot / no tpm / brazilian work around) a 2tb hdd for random files and a nvidia gt-640.
I'm into dxing, if anything goes wrong, I have a radio.
My cpu is 13 years old I think. Video card is from 2015 though if I recall correctly. I posted the pic because it's the opposite of those tucked away cables @BubblegumCuddle posted.
PC Gamer here. I recently added a Lian Li 001 Dynamic Evo case to my custom build pc. Also added some fans to have a total of 7 fans. I got AMD Ryzen 9 3900X ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 with 16gb ram Dual Monitors and a Valve Index for VR gaming.
@JasonCuddles Maybe I am wrong as I am only looking at one picture, but why is your power supply fan pointed in towards your PC!?
When I build a new PC, I want to put my old computer in a glass or acrylic tank filled with mineral oil and LED lights.
@PlushandPerfect : that is a nice case. I got a deal on the xl or I would have gotten what you got. And I'm so horrible with organizing cords so the xl makes it much easier.
I was going to build a ryzen machine but then the 12 intels came out. It's like every time AMD gets ahead by a little bit intel just comes right back. And with the new AMDs people are going to have to get new motherboard like they do with Intel which does not help AMD at all.

@BubblegumCuddle - The exhaust fan is pointed at the back of the case. They also need an intake fan to take the warm air that is inside the case and expel it out the back,.
@Mike403 : I 100% agree with you. But do I ? That's CPU is 13 years old with a stock heatsink. I don't think he needs to worry too much about making it last.

@JasonCuddles lol omg, your pc looks like my first few PC’s back in the day, before the side panels had windows and consideration of airflow was non-existent 😅
@Mike403 I have the side panel off all the time, I don't need any case fans.
@JasonCuddles - I'm just stating one of the purposes of the PSU fan. In the old days, the fan in the PSU was the only way to exhaust the heat from inside the case. That was before PCs got more powerful where they needed extra case fans.

Ah yes, that was back in the day when all the graphics cards got all their power from the pci or agp slots. And cpu coolers looked like the motherboard chipset coolers of today

@JasonCuddles does your case have a bottom screen your intake fan can use? Ideally you do not want your PSU intaking hot air from your GPU as that will wear down your PSU faster. They should take in cool air to keep the PSU cooler. Also, keeping the side panel off ruins the slight vacuum the cases naturally generate and you end up with poorer airflow.
@Mike403 Please don't intake warm air into a system that expects cold air to cool it. Use case fans to blow out hot air and intake cool air.

@sunnysideup - If you want to go back even further, my first PC didn't have a CPU cooler at all. The PSU had a fan and that was it. It was an IBM XT from the early to mid '80s.
@BubblegumCuddle - I'm not sure which PCs you're building, but I've never seen one with a PSU that had it's intake fan on the outside of the case.
@Mike403 Nah, not the outside but pointed down taking the cooler air in from under the case. Sorry I may have worded the sentence poorly.
@BubblegumCuddle - Unless the case has an opening there(mine doesn't), it's gonna suffocate the PSU and it won't be getting any air at all.
@Mike403 oh yes absolutely. If you don't have any other choice, hot air is better than no air. Ideal is cool air from under the case though.
@BubblegumCuddle - My case has three powerful intake fans on the front to keep air flow over all the components and the air naturally flows out the back. It doesn't need any exhaust fans(except the PSU). The system has no problem keeping cool.
