  • Got home late last night from a trip out west. Will try and relax and slowly catch up and get ready for next week.

  • Spent yesterday afternoon snuggling with my boyfriend at a park near Lake Coeur d'Alene, in Idaho, then splashing around in a gorgeous stream in the mountains!! Just what I needed after nearly 22 hours in the car, the preceding several days. Now we're in Washington and will go see fireworks, tonight!

  • I'd be lying if I said that recent events havent made me feel less than patriotic. However I also recognize that to make positive change in your country , you have to first love your country and its people. Cant make effective positive change on a larger scale when only thinking about yourself and how things affect you . So I choose to love my country , and it's people, and to focus on things I can do to impact change in what I dislike about it.

  • My holiday weekend has been quiet and lonely. Wishing so much to have someone to share it with.

  • @pmvines I'm there with you. I DO love my country, but I'm not entirely proud of it right now. I would be proud of a country where ALL of its people live free and equal, but that's just not us right now. 🤷😔

@SunsetSnuggles Those are BEAUTIFUL pics, and THAT'S where I'd like to spend my 4th... 😊

@Mike403 They likely said that 'cos there is an actual problem with people shooting down drones, and many people have the mindset that they should, 'cos they're noisy or "It's near my house." I have a neighbor down the street with a noisy Mustang. Despite the many mornings his car woke me up when driving by, I've never had the urge to shoot out his tires...

    .

  • @jaswbrown - People dislike drones because they have cameras and feel their privacy is being invaded when one is flown too close to their house.

Movies. Art Show. Saw the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Bike riding. Saw a Jazz concert too ;)

  • @jaswbrown Thank you! Last year we were driving in the dark in the middle of nowhere, so we're making up for it, this year!

@Mike403 - Drones may have cameras, but the assumption that the drone is watching you does not justify what would in some states could be a felonious destruction of personal property and an unlawful discharge of a weapon. If you suspect a drone is acting suspicious or in a harassing manner, you call the police --as the airspace above your house isn't necessarily yours to control... (Air Commerce Act and U.S. v. Causby, though state laws vary).

  • @jawsbrown - I never once implied that it was okay to shoot down a drone. I was only mentioning why some people dislike them. It has nothing to do with the noise which you can't hear unless it's flying next to your window.

  • @Mike403 - and I only mentioned why shooting down a drone would be illegal, 'cos you mentioned that your sarcastic statement that led to your 24hr ban was viewed by Facebook as a promotion of a crime, to which you 'wtf'-ed... I could see why their algorithm was triggered, and how someone could rule for a 24hr ban... to reduce platform liability (just in case)...

  • I'm with @pmvines and @jaswbrown. America could be a great country. I hope it will be, someday. With liberty and justice for all... for real.

  • For anyone who didn’t get to see any!
