Cuddle Snacks and Drinks

I like to keep snacks and drinks in my cuddle studio as a complimentary service to my clients. Everything has to be in individual packaging and shelf stable. I have a mini fridge for drinks (no alcohol, of course). I never know what snacks and drinks to buy because I only know what I like. Often times the drinks I buy, like the la Colombe cold brews, hit their expiration date before anyone drinks them, and the snacks mostly end up getting eaten by me. Also, I avoid buying soda because I hate carbonation and it rots people's teeth.

At this point, I am due for a restock anyway and would love any suggestions you have, keeping in mind that everything must be in individual-sized packaging and shelf-stable.

I am a shrinking violet in many ways, so bottled water is all I would ask for, but honestly, I always bring my own, anyway. 💦

This thread has lots of ideas, a few of which could be individually-packaged:

  • I think anything sugary or carby really acceralerates tooth decay?

I think that simply having drinks already sets you apart from many other professionals! But if you want you fine tune it and go the extra mile, I only know what I like, so here goes:

I wouldn't want any particularly strongly scented snacks as I don't want have bad breath while cuddling someone - unless those snacks were for the road. I wouldn't want any carbonated drinks either because they will make me gassy, and I think if I burp in front of someone I'm cuddling I'll die of embarrassment.

Water bottles are a staple of course. I like hot tea because it calms my nerves and cuddling new people makes me a bit nervous. Coffee might make me a bit too hyper for a cuddle. There are bottled teas as well that are meant to be served cold with no sweeteners or little sugar added.

Nuts or trail mix I think would make a great snack. As well as cliff bars, kind bars etc. Chips, wasabi peas.

    • Skinny pop popcorn - comes in Individual variety packs
    • Teas ( if you have an electric kettle on hand ) - Egyptian licorice is my favorite
    • Goldfish crackers variety pack makes me feel like a kid again
    • Publix or any grocery store for that matter has a 20 PC variety.pack of sweet and salty snacks, useful for the cuddlers who may have low blood sugar
    • Cheese and crackers are always a hit

Drinks I usually stick to water or ask clients if they have a preference for longer 3+ hour sessions

  • @SunsetSnuggles, I did look at that thread a while ago, but most of it was not shelf-stable food.
@sunnysideup, thanks for the tip; I never thought of wasabi peas.
I always keep water on hand, but maybe the issue is people are shy or feel bad taking my other drinks (little do they know they are wasting my money by not taking them because they end up going bad)

  • @Rezz, there is an electric kettle in the common area; perhaps I should stock up on teas and get some paper coffee cups with lids.

I would like to request lots of ice cream, cookies, hershey's chocolate, almond joys, flavored almonds, chips and guacamole, kettle corn and Blackberry Izze.

  • This is no good because it's British, but it might provide inspiration.

If you want to make the task even more difficult, try and find something that satisfies every dietary restriction.

For drinks, go for mass market brand leaders. Everybody knows what they are, and what we can put up with.

@Btown thanks for the tips. I can definitely do everything except for the ice cream and guacamole. I’ve been hesitant with chocolate just because I’m worried I’d eat it all and because my office has a thermostat on a timer so it can get quite hot if no one‘s there so the chocolate might melt. I could refrigerate it. I don’t have a freezer though just a little beverage fridge

@xandriarain Awesome. I want to come to your house.

  • @Btown I actually have an office in an office building but you’re welcome anytime if you’re ever in the Philly area.

I vote Hi-Chews and some Liquid Death Mountain Water. Water just hits different from a can 😅

@xandriarain OK. Then I won't come to your home cuz the goodies are at the office.

  • I actually did host several fourms on surveys based on snacks, teas, coffees, beverages, etc. Here are the results from what I picked up and most cuddlers agreed when sharing the most popular food/beverages items:

    1) most popular tea: chai tea and royal englishbreakfast tea
Most popular coffee blend: turkey dark roast coffee or dark roast coffee.
    2) people prefer healthier snacks such as cheese, crackers, fruits, sushi, chicken, rice, etc.
    3) unhealthy snacks: cookies, donuts, pretzels, or ice-cream
    4) fruity flavored sodas or seltzer water
    5) most favorite bottled water: Fiji water

  • I bumped back up one of my fourms. Take advantage of it before it goes away again.
