Virtual Cuddling? What???

  • @Mike403 Is a regular and a respectful one.

  • @Mike403. Everyone is giving their opinions! I want everyone to give their opinions! Heck, I even acknowledged and conceded points to CuddleDuncan eventually after we went back and forth. That's the point. Are you getting a headache or experiencing anxiety or something? If so, instead of shushing us, might I suggest you book a virtual cuddle session with a Pro?

  • @laidbackron - Nobody is shushing anybody. You're always free to create another thread. The OP is probably tired of getting notified for every off-topic comment.

  • See, you guys aren't the first and only small crew to think you run this board, doing your virtue high fives and team-up post. You're just the latest waive to find harmony and fulfillment in that matter. But you're not new and this has all been done before. The board has been through many such groups over the years. I take loooooooong breaks from posting over the course of 5 years. I even now see @pmvines looking at some of these threads and sighing... not out of disagreement but just out of "deja vu, here we go again".

  • edited July 2022

@Mike403 Then let the OP say it. You don't know what he thinks. From what I read from his original post, he and I agree at least broadly if not specifically. He probably left the thread because you and the Carebear Squad came in and tried to shush him, which is a huge problem.

You and your buddies are creating an environment where the majority of site members don't want to participate in the forums. There's literally thousands of people who should be active participants out of many thousands more, and instead I seem the same 6 or 7 people posting all day.

  • Ah, the virtue signaling comment again. How nice.

  • @Mike403 Doesn't or can't represent one person, but suddenly @laidbackron represents the millions in attendance and the thousands of people watching around the world... now I'm listening. Lol

  • @laidbackron - You're the one who is continuing to bully. I gave an opinion and didn't tag anyone nor even flagged the thread and just left it at that.

  • @laidbackron I’m not gonna lie, with how much energy and exasperated fervour you’re putting into this, you aren’t coming off as “laid back”, Ron. You don’t think you’re being rude, but you are. You’re comparing an activity that pros do to something on OnlyFans (which is not accepted here) and also belittling the activity by comparing it to selling used socks and “fart jars”… that’s incredibly disrespectful. You aren’t saying anything tangential to the topic except things that would make some people uncomfortable.

Think about this: you may not find value in paid video chats (I also don’t care to use the words “virtual cuddling”), but there are an enormous amount of people that do. Some find it fun, engaging and I’ve had plenty of ppl say they felt incredibly relaxed after. Imagine how they would feel coming here and seeing someone calling it a joke and likening it to selling jars of fart…
I’m shocked you don’t think you’re being rude.

If you were just simply asking why people do it or what’s the allure of it, that would be fine. But you’re belligerently attacking those who find comfort and solace in something you obviously hate.

I really hate Oreos but I’m not going to liken eating Oreos to eating moldy fruit on top of moldy bread and attack those who do like Oreos. Do a bit of introspection and try to look at your comments with a “outside looking in” perspective.

Or just get angry and say more lean things. Which path looks healthier to you?

(Ps. I literally am receiving a booking request for a video chat right now as we speak 👍🏻)

  • @cylee1180 You tried to call me some sort of alpha male incel coaching bro or something. I'm not even Conservative or anything close on that spectrum. You know what you're doing. I don't have to sit here and explain it.

But fear not! Its not the end of the world! If you don't think you were virtue signaling, that's fine! I sometimes virtue signal. I haven't done it here, but I fall into it, we all do at times! If you don't think you came in, threw a bunch of text rocks at me, and then cried foul when I fired back, hey no big deal! Water under the bridge. We could very well become best friends and virtue signal together in front of a live studio audience.

@Sheena123 I already conceded to @CuddleDuncan that virtual cuddles are real and he admitted they probably need another name. Disagreeing isn't being rude. And I'm not angry. But listen, I'm ok with your opinion and don't need to debate you as you kind of just air dropped in. And I don't have any issue with @Mike403 or @cylee1180. You guys are just doing the Carebear Stare or something on me.

Tell you what, I'll just assume everything you've said is correct and in good faith, while I look through the forum and check if you're independent or already associated with @Mike403 and @cylee1180, in which case this would just be team sports instead of independent discussion... and it would invalidate your whole "I'm not gonna lie" preamble.

And props to you on booking the paid video chat (virtual cuddle, right?). Get 'em girl. I support you 100% All I said earlier was its funny, not invalid or needing to be banned. You might have missed that while focusing on my interactions with your forum friends.

@Mike403 How exactly am I bullying you or the fella who tried to call me an alpha coaching Incel instructor bro or something?

  • As I understand it, "virtual cuddling" attempts to give the feeling of a cuddle remotely. Body pillows may come into play, as well as guided self-touch: "Give yourself a hug and pretend your arms are mine," that kind of thing.

It's not my cup of tea, personally. Seems like too much effort for too little return. But I can see how it might work for some folks—and it's obviously different from plain old video chatting.

@laidbackron False. I said your comparing to selling of farts and socks to virtual cuddles is not a fair comparison, bc the selling of farts and used socks (for hundreds) is a simp/incel activity. That part is insulting to everyone - even to the millions in attendance and the thousands watching around the world that you represent.

I didn't call you a Conservative, but I did say your mindset of:

    • trying to control situations and conversation
    • pounding your chest and insulting others
    • attempting to be the ultimate judge of what's right or wrong
    • questioning women's issues and legitimacy and value on one hand while interjecting a male-centered worldview ("I'm waiting for a woman to hire a pro male virtual cuddling session" - making gendered comments when gender wasn't even on the table - and political too; as was said before: it is a "non-sequitur")
    • claiming all men are fools for not thinking and behaving like you

All fall under such umbrella of thought.

I could YouTube red pill or how to be alpha and the points that you're making will come straight out of the manual.

    Also, it's the projection :

    • claiming to love a free exchange of opinions and ideas
    • shutting down and insulting people with dissenting opinions
    • calling other pple victims
    • behaving like a victim and that you're being persecuted at the same time
    • accusing others of thought policing or virtue signaling whenever something occurs that is disagreeable to you or when you're too lazy to read and write a coherent response
    • meanwhile claiming the thought police or the regulars are preventing the participation of the millions in attendance and the thousands of people watching from around the world (that you represent- that's a a nice application of Populism) from participating

Please quote where I felt like a victim? I hadn't sent any text rocks; I made logical points which only hurt if you are off the mark.

@Sheena123 Cheers to your virtual/video chat session? Too bad. I love oreos! Loo

  • @cylee1180 Like I said, when you guys take over and dominate the conversation, the forums become frustration fueled essays and cat memes. You then posted another cat meme. I call it like I see it. But I love it man. I enjoy talking with you guys. You just get aggressive with me and then cry foul when I try to meet you in the middle instead of wilting. It's all good. I know you're not used to push back in the Care Bear Kingdom. Honestly, I'm one of you, and have probably been around longer than you. We just have to get more accustomed to sharing discourse.

@cylee1180 There you go with the virtue signaling essays and personal attacks again.. If I did the same to you, you'd whine and whine and whine and whine and act like I somehow attacked you. So I'll just let you have the free shots. I don't take your bullet point personal attack presentations personally. Its just a throwing rocks and hiding hands thing you do. We can still be friends.

And... hold the phone.... is buying socks and fart jars an incel activity? Honestly, I know nothing about that community. I thought buying that stuff was just a twitch and only fans thing for internet enthusiasts. I thought the thing with incels was they refused to spend money or effort to meet women and then hate society.

  • Google projection, my friend. Lol Also, reread what I wrote - especially the last set of bullet points. I cracked the infinite loop! Lol.

  • Based on reading the comments, most of the people here do not think "virtual cuddling" is actually cuddling. I agree. According to the dictionary, 'cuddling' must involve some form of touch. Definitions may change over time, but this is the current definition. I think it's dangerous to change a words' definition to fit a narrative in an effort to produce legitimacy.

If someone needs emotional support, there are professionals with far better credentials and experience than the typical professionals on this site. They are therapy hotlines- some are free; you would likely get much more benefit talking to a licensed professional. I'm trained in therapy and if done incorrectly can cause harm to the client. If you are going to hire a virtual session anyway ( which I don't recommend), tread carefully.

  • [Deleted User]SoulParaTodos (deleted user)

I agree! Lol. On top of it, you have to pay 50 bucks or more? Unless you are in a cell block and have zero access to the world, why would anyone want this? Lol. Just call a friend or talk to your neighbor!

  • @August1 First, thanks for the work you do. I've seen two therapists before and they have helped me immensely in processing my life experiences (and helping me to graduate from school) - I've hired three life coaches, several massage therapists, several martial arts coaches, and several dance coaches. They have all helped me in different ways .

I think each offer their degree of comfort without having to step on the toes of other sectors or areas of personal growth. Surely, therapy is almost a necessity in some cases, but cuddling imo is more of an alternative health, personal growth , hobby, or leisure sector - I think both have value and don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Therapy imo can almost be analogous to groceries- you wouldn't tell someone here not to buy virtual cuddles bc the money is better spent on groceries.

What you do is important !

  • @cylee1180 Just because you organize your BS into bullet points, doesn't make it true, it just demonstrates your level of effort, which in this case, is quite serious. Every time I post, you summon yourself and begin attacking me and I do my best to Steven Segal the situation. And then you summon your buddies and it becomes this whole handicap match 3 vs 1 thing, which I'm fine with. You think virtual cuddles are sacred, I think the idea is funny. Its not the end of the world. I don't have to be your dream fantasy red pill alpha bro incel commander general that you fantasize me to be in order to disagree with you.

  • @laidbackron I'd give this thread a rest. You are sort of digging yourself into a bigger hole. I know you feel your behavior is appropriate, but it’s not. You need to do a little introspection of your arguing style and tone. It comes off as very combative. Little micro aggressions against women here and there which will make most people uncomfortable. You don’t seem to notice how some of the things you say come off as insults. You don’t have to like virtual cuddling. You can even think it is “funny”. But saying you think it is “funny” is an insult to people who value it. Cuddling is an intimate thing and one that makes most men a bit vulnerable since it is not stereotypical male activity. Some can be sensitive toward anyone laughing at their participation however that is done. So I’d just agree to disagree and not push this any further. Perhaps try to learn something from it about more effective communication.

  • We should welcoming of all opinions until it was compared to used socks and fart jars. That was way over the line and then continue to call other people selfish and judgmental for simply pointing out that the comments in this thread no longer has any value?

  • @dave31415 I'm not digging a hole, you just see a hole because you want to. You can layer on term after term to imply you have a case, but you're actually full of BS and just looking to dog pile with your tiny group of forum buddies. Take a look in the mirror and recognize that person is a lying, patronizing bully.

You sound like one of those people who's always in the news where everyone thought they were this kind, supportive male feminist... then you find out he's been abusing women for like a decade. Like Matt Lauer or Jian Ghomeshi.

    Me, I'm Tom Cruise.

  • Well, I think that pretty much settles it. Thanks @laidbackron for making it far more obvious.

  • @dave31415 You came in with a smear and a dream. Sorry it flopped.

  • @laidbackron - Knock it off with the personal attacks. Why don't you try to live up to your user name?

  • edited July 2022

@Mike403 Its taken you 5 hours to assemble make a coherent criticism. If the fart jars crossed a line for you, you should have said it this morning. Jeez man, sorry.

Last and final warning while you're in timeout. The next instance of any infraction is insta-ban, @laidbackron . I'm not playin', the mods are not playin'. [-Sid]

  • His entire comment falls under bullets 1.1 to 1.3, and then 2.2 and 2.4 to 2.6 to the tee. Infinite loop.
