@achetocuddle haha!! I was looking at the time left in the YouTube video and I was HOPING there would be a third message so he could explain how he never leaves a third message and the terms he’s willing to agree to if Helga ever wishes to hear from this prince of a man again.
The term “delusions of grandeur” comes to mind here.
@Syins I was totally watching the time for a third message too!! 🤞🏻😬🤞🏻 🤣🤣🤣
This is typical PUA culture (pick-up artist) imo:
He tries to do all of that but not always successfully. A lot of times, men who lack all social skills join the pua movement and they use codes and symbols for each tactic and codify women's reactions. Some of my friends read the book "The Game" by Neil Strauss, when I was growing up. However, I always declined the read bc its so dang misogynistic and disrespectful to women even if the author turns a corner in the end and finds a longterm relationship and renounced pua tactics.
Now now ... I'm sure that if I really tried, I could be more creepy.
Just have to get into character.
Rutabaga, rutabaga, rutabaga
Disturbing..... he is delusional. Bye immediately
@ cylee1180 _This is typical PUA culture (pick-up artist) imo:
seeks to control the situation highly manipulative and attempts to capitalize on women's insecurities and tendencies creates a limited window for the transaction (kind of a sales pitch tactic: limited spaces and availability) is complimentary of the woman while talking down to her: both flatters the woman while reduces her ego so she wants to "impress" hom to validate her worth, etc. He probably tried "peacocking" when he met her - dressing and posturing loudly to draw attention to show his masculinity and "alpha" status_
Aside from everything else, what's weird about this is that it literally reduces women to... a function? I mean, the concept is "do/say thing a,b,c to get result x,y,z." It's the sort of thing that seems so ludicrous that you can't believe anyone believe it, but, well, there are a lot of guys who do. I'm still not sure whether that's due to a complete lack of female peers in their life (sisters, cousins, etc.), or something else.
I thought that pick up artists were supposed to make women want to go out with him. Acting like a creep isn't a very effective way to do it.
And this guy teaches other guys how to 'pick up' women.
How about: 'don't be a creepy jerk'?
@DeadGirlWalking Now now, being a "nice guy" by "not being a creepy jerk" is obviously a "beta ____" move.
Cough. Cough. Sigh.
If a self proclaimed "nice guy" is actually a creep in most cases, is a guy who calls himself a creep a nice guy?
The guy who got me to buy a Honda outside of my budget sounded like this guy. But he was right that I have more respect for myself with leather seats.
WTF??? Too funny.. but yes these guys exist. I briefly dated one.
@dave31415 Would that be Corinthian leather?
According to Wikipedia (see James NIcholas Sears) he was convicted of willful promotion of hatred. Imagine that! /s
@Syins Thanks for laughing. I think I'm losing my humorous edge. Glad to know I still have a little of it
I would take my crippling lack of confidence over his creepy overconfidence any day.
@Charlie_Bear Yep Besides, lack of confidence is not a character flaw.
@Btown Not sure. He was like “If you buy the one with cloth seats, every time you see them, you’re going to think about how much nicer it would be with leather.” That kinda stuck in my head and I now I have this aversion to cloth seats. They have some sophisticated psychological tools. Same with the PUAs.
@dave31415 You gotta respect yourself! Brilliant! Yeah he helped you connect your self-worth and the high class life to leather seats. That's amazing sales tactics!
@achetocuddle Great background check! Haha I feel many of these "men's " coaches are usually just super charismatic guys who take advantage of men's insecurities and low points and use that to generate profit and a cult following.
It's funny this scene from Magnolia came out on 1999. Not a lot has changed (graphic language warning and graphic misogyny for entertainment purposes):
@cylee1180 LOL. Yeah, I really did some good research, ha ha
@achetocuddle you are @SunsetSnuggles give not just an even perspective, but an even personality to the forums. Appreciate yall. And the research is very helpful and very you. Lol
Dimitri is even more of a catch than I thought!
@cylee1180 Aww, thank you! And shameless self-promotion; I also read his whole Wikipedia page. 🤣 Most of it focused on his hate speech and publishings; I was hoping for more Dimitri dirt. 😏 The dude is currently in jail, folks!
~ Sunset Snuggles
@SunsetSnuggles I would have enjoyed more Dimitri dirt. Lol. @cylee1180 Lol. I do try to be even and balanced. Thanks.
@SunsetSnuggles I wouldn't expect any less! You're too awesome!
@achetocuddle For you. Lol
Dude has some major Napoleon complex issues too.
@cylee1180 Scary and icky. Wowza. This thread has been more interesting than I thought it would be. Thanks everyone.
Well she didn’t delete his number lol fyi this is from 14 years ago
@RoneTone - That has been going viral for 14 years. I remember listening to it then.
@achetocuddle Yeah what a headache. His historical knowledge is on point - I'm just on the opposite side of the spectrum. His misogyny is intense.
@cylee1180 He is mostly addled, but I wonder if a little of this is done to garner publicity.
@achetocuddle Like the Tom Cruise character, he mostly focused on charisma and emotional appeal and maybe a few key principles just below the surface to hook the audience . They're both good at what they do imo - just using it for evil .lol.
E.g. - Cuddling is good for you vs. Cuddling is life! It is the essence and lifeblood that surges through our socialistic humanity! The connection, the emotion! *Suddenly I have a audience of 100 pple gawking and staring. Lol
