Could not find this thread the other day.
I made a grilled cheese sandwich without burning the bread. Two days in a row!
Today: friend offered me a piece of pizza. It was pretty good. I may have found a decent pizza place in a convenient location. That’s good.
Waking up to a beautiful sunny day, chirping birds a d beautiful mountains in Vail Colorado.
Reading something funny and laughing out loud about it. I love a good belly laugh.
Someone gave me some fig tree saplings AND some little ripe figs! What a treat!
August 29th is Fred's Gotcha Day. Here's a pic of the day he joined our family in 2012. He's 14 years old now. The face is completely white, he's slowed down a little, but he still has the same beautiful disposition he had the day we brought him home.
This day in history in 2010 the first hemorrhoid relief spray was invented. This made me smile and put dimples on my cheeks. Which cheeks I’ll never tell.
@Babichev that's tough! I just end up liking it a little burnt.
I made chocolate pancakes from scratch without eggs with strawberries for the family. It looked and tasted like something from a restaurant. This was probably my 3rd try making chocolate pancakes. We getting good in the kitchen!
Just thinking about so many wonderful people on this site. Thanks gor making life more enjoyable.
I'm in a support group that meets every Wednesday. Just finished and shared some things I thought I'd be lambasted for, but instead got a lot of support. It was really nice!
My 13 year old sons most recent obsession with playing the recorder around the house constantly makes me smile. He’s a really good musician so there’s recorder versions of the jurassic park, star wars and titanic sound tracks. Lots of mario kart themes, Enya and even Micheal Jackson. Sometimes he’ll play two recorders are the same time and play in harmony- it makes me laugh how good it sounds because I equate the recorder with hot cross buns. It’s like having a personal pied piper.
@CallMeMikey Fred’s sweet face also made me smile.
I went to see tape face, its honestly a pretty simple show, but the audience members that were brave enough to get up there really made me belly laugh, I had to deal with the usual selfish pricks in this town, but, once I had a few genuine laughs, I didn't care anymore.
Life is a balancing act, and I'm grateful for days like that, that help tip the scale, ever so slightly.
It was beautiful outside
I imposed a choice to either smile or subject myself to self-immolation. Another day gas can.
Opening up a sweet message from a beautiful soul. I love when women cheer on other women. @Nature_Lover_ thank you for being one of those women, I’ll always be in your cheering section babe! ❤️
Eating ice cream today made me smile. Aw @SunsetSnuggles Your comment is wholesome, love it!
Little kitty keeps finding me every time I’m home from work
The rain today.
New connections with lovely humans. That and a little extra cough syrup for good measure
I had a lovely dinner out with a significant other!
What made me smile is was the beautiful smiles of the most beautiful creation of God. Women you lady's do make a difference in this world. There's nothing as beautiful as you!!
Smiling today, because of yesterday!
…a day spent with crazy dogs 😜, in the kitchen with, and either in the arms of or holding, a wonderful human being who has helped me realize just how much real connection has been absent in my life…and I am extremely grateful 😊
I went to Costa (UK coffee shop) earlier today for a hot chocolate. Guy making it 'accidentally' upped it from a small to a medium for free because it was my birthday.
Doesn't take much to cheer me up heh.
Happy Birthday!
I smiled today because we found some homemade chili in the freezer. Yum!
After a tough day at work, its ahi tuna and prime rib to the rescue !!
sitting with my feet in the water
I saw this reckless a-hole driver speeding at least 20mph over the limit, dangerously dodging and weaving between traffic, with no regard for anyone's safety. But a couple of miles up the road he got caught at a red light, stuck behind some other cars. A few minutes later, here I come lumbering up in an 18-wheeler--and I passed him, making it through the intersection before he did.
It makes me smile whenever a-holes get their comeuppance.
Everyone should get a colonoscopy when they hit 40 and definitely by 50.
@KYtransplant lovely spot!
Cooler weather and changing leaves.
