I myself am open and comfortable with all. Not going to lie I was nervous my first time cuddling a male. I grew up in an area of the country that is still close minded to a lot of things. I didn’t know how I was going to react. Luckily the first male I cuddled was very kind and I was upfront about how I may or may not feel comfortable. I was glad I took the chance because men bring a different energy to a cuddle that women can not and vice versa. I don’t care if a male is straight or not you are missing out if you don’t cuddle everyone. Now that doesn’t mean that the others energy is good for you. Everyone has a different energy and some other may not be there thing and that’s ok too. For anyone reading this that may be on the religious side. There is scripture of how Jesus cuddled other men to bring them peace and comfort. In my own opinion, if it was good for Jesus it’s good enough for me.
Everyone is different. Some men are comfortable cuddling other men, others aren't. As long as we can respect each others individual choices and not attack and name call somebody for not thinking like them (which I've seen in other threads).
I have only cuddled with women so far, but I want to cuddle anyone of any gender, as long as I feel safe.
Interesting
I'm new here and I've never cuddled with a guy yet, but if it's just about cuddling, I don't see how it would be a problem for me. I would like to get to know them first, just like anyone else, of course. If they are built like a defensive lineman, I might be nervous, but personality is the deciding factor.
I'm relatively comfortable with it, within reason, I've had to huddle with men for warmth before, but one issue I've found outside of that work environment, is I've had more issues with other guys respecting boundaries, even once while huddling for warmth, a "natural reaction" turned into grinding. Add that to the times I've had images of genitals sent to me on different sites even after noting the desire for platonic interactions, and, I'm very careful. It's not a completely closed door, but, I'm careful.
Despite the stigma and despite being straight and therefore unaccustomed to much male touch, I am open to cuddling other guys, but with more restrictions than with women. A lot of men might might be wary of other men for the same reasons women are. Men are more likely to be violent, more likely to be sexually aggressive, and more likely to be criminals than women. (Not all or most men, but everybody knows men are more likely to be this way than women overall). Therefore, I have 4 requirements and at least one of them must be met in order for me to get to yes. 1. They can't be way older than me (twice my age). If they are, they must have a lot of Karma for me to make an exception. 2. They must be willing to video call and meet in person first. 3. They are willing to cuddle in public and not just private. 4. Karma are needed. If at least one of these is fulfilled, I can get to yes, but I will admit I will still feel awkward at first because it will still feel weird to do it with other men.
Therefore, I fully empathize with women on this site. By cuddling men (myself included), you are taking quite a risk, especially if you just met them. Thank 😊 🙏 all of you for taking such a risk, because if I were a woman, even someone like myself with platonic intentions might have a less high acceptance rate. I would just be so much more cautious.
Thank you @Charlie_Bear @IllinoisDave @Jacob879 and @AGnihon thank you for sharing thoughts, experiences, importance of safety/respect of boundaries and open mind to the possibility of cuddling men, in the future!🤗
I have many cuddling experiences before and on this site. I agree based on personal experiences, that men tend to push boundaries more often than women (but I have experienced women pressuring/pushing boundaries too, cuddling is truly risk reward choice). Some things that help me maintain boundaries are to discuss in a positive tone positive expectations of the cuddle experiences, in addition to boundaries/limits for comfort (before session). During the session, if you feel the other person is struggling or not keeping the limits/boundaries as discussed earlier, you can either try to discuss it if you feel the person is approachable, change to another position or decide to end the cuddle session (based on your own personal feelings/choices). This site also has reporting features, to help keep us safer too. Happy and safe cuddling to all!🤗
Thank you @AGnihon fr your honesty!!!!!
Let's keep up the great work that is making this community the BEST.
@Connecticut1977 Update to one of my past posts on this thread. I did meet up with and had one of my best cuddles ever with a trans-woman! I cuddled many CIS women and men on this site as well! Positive energy, connection and shared goals are personally important, when I look for cuddle buddies.
Seem like I do remember that one @SuperManCuddles . I would love to meet and cuddle one myself.
I’ve never cuddled with another female and I think it would be just as relaxing as cuddling with a man.
@IllinoisDave I have seen and read your profile. I would love to have the opportunity to meet and cuddle with you.
@fireflyrobin you are absolutely right!!! It's about platonic and healing. Either way it's equally relaxing.
I’m all for it! Had less of it, but an enveloping embrace when your eyes are closed can be just the thing when your soul is tired. sigh 😌
Happy New Year and thanks so much @AbsoluteKitten !!!!! You are truly a darling!!!!
I'm all for it.
@GreyAndGreen next time when I am back in my former home state, I would love to come see you.
@Connecticut1977 Ok!
I look forward to it @GreyAndGreen !!!!!
@Connecticut1977 Thank you! The experience is awesome and hope that you have a similar experience, in the future.
I had a really cuddly friend that was so comforting. I miss her, she died of cancer.
I would love to cuddle women they are so nurturing.
I’ve had inquiries but never anything came of it
Wow @KozyKim I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Those individuals who didn't follow through on their inquiries don't know what they are missing out on. I see no difference in cuddling with women or men.
I think the problem is if you didn’t grow up with same-sex affection from your parent, brothers, or friends it might seem foreign to you.
A lot of men are still hooked on the fact that cuddling means something romantic or sensual when it doesn't really mean that. It can, but it doesn’t have to.
@KozyKim you made 2 great and distinct points.
