Hey all! I’ve been lurking in the shadows of the forums for a few weeks regularly now I guess; call it getting a feel for things and working up the nerve to publicly post…
Anyway, for a while I could relate to the frustrations of some; messages sent with no responses and conversations that abruptly ended. My advice, give it time and be patient; everything happens when it should, and expecting immediate results in a community like this just shouldn’t be the expectation.
Be open, honest, and understanding (especially the males who are trying to cuddle females; really put yourself in their shoes and understand how they see this!). While this is platonic cuddling and not a dating website, the two share some basics in what’s required for the foundation; if one expects to only have their needs met in their way, the other isn’t likely to jump right in.
I’m no pro cuddler (in any usage of the term), having only two cuddles with one person; but my two cents is that being genuine and understanding, while also being patient, is really all that it takes to have a great experience.
My expectations of the benefits of cuddling, relative to my situation, have far been exceeded; as has been my belief in the effect that I can have another, as I’d been led to believe that I could ‘do better’ so to speak. All around, it’s helped to boost my efforts in getting back to myself and moving forward while finding new enjoyment for life and the present moments!
Don’t give up, but also don’t expect more than what is realistic nor fall into the trap of feeling ‘deserving’ of anything; either a service is being pursued (and the customer is NOT always right) and you are at the mercy of the person offering the service with ZERO obligation to serve all…or, you are trying to convince someone to meet with a total stranger, publicly or privately, in a situation where there has CLEARLY been numerous bad apples and situations that should never happen (but unfortunately do). This is where the understanding can really help; see things from their point of view and not just your own. That’s the only way to really know if you are doing anything wrong or maybe if it’s just bad timing.
And to those of you that have been doing this a while and helping to bring vision to newer folks, thank you! And thank you all for other views, posts, and conversations that have made this a welcoming community and one that I am grateful to be a part of!
I wish you all the best (and if anything came across as unclear or offensive, I apologize in advance and assure you that was not the intent; more or less it’s a statement of my observations and my two cents on a best practices approach) and I hope to see you all around more here in the forums! Have a great evening (or whichever appropriate time of the day in your particular part of the world!!)
