A little balance (maybe?) to the new user experience threads…

[Deleted User]NewInTownKB (deleted user)

Hey all! I’ve been lurking in the shadows of the forums for a few weeks regularly now I guess; call it getting a feel for things and working up the nerve to publicly post…

Anyway, for a while I could relate to the frustrations of some; messages sent with no responses and conversations that abruptly ended. My advice, give it time and be patient; everything happens when it should, and expecting immediate results in a community like this just shouldn’t be the expectation.

Be open, honest, and understanding (especially the males who are trying to cuddle females; really put yourself in their shoes and understand how they see this!). While this is platonic cuddling and not a dating website, the two share some basics in what’s required for the foundation; if one expects to only have their needs met in their way, the other isn’t likely to jump right in.

I’m no pro cuddler (in any usage of the term), having only two cuddles with one person; but my two cents is that being genuine and understanding, while also being patient, is really all that it takes to have a great experience.

My expectations of the benefits of cuddling, relative to my situation, have far been exceeded; as has been my belief in the effect that I can have another, as I’d been led to believe that I could ‘do better’ so to speak. All around, it’s helped to boost my efforts in getting back to myself and moving forward while finding new enjoyment for life and the present moments!

Don’t give up, but also don’t expect more than what is realistic nor fall into the trap of feeling ‘deserving’ of anything; either a service is being pursued (and the customer is NOT always right) and you are at the mercy of the person offering the service with ZERO obligation to serve all…or, you are trying to convince someone to meet with a total stranger, publicly or privately, in a situation where there has CLEARLY been numerous bad apples and situations that should never happen (but unfortunately do). This is where the understanding can really help; see things from their point of view and not just your own. That’s the only way to really know if you are doing anything wrong or maybe if it’s just bad timing.

And to those of you that have been doing this a while and helping to bring vision to newer folks, thank you! And thank you all for other views, posts, and conversations that have made this a welcoming community and one that I am grateful to be a part of!

I wish you all the best (and if anything came across as unclear or offensive, I apologize in advance and assure you that was not the intent; more or less it’s a statement of my observations and my two cents on a best practices approach) and I hope to see you all around more here in the forums! Have a great evening (or whichever appropriate time of the day in your particular part of the world!!)

Thanks @cylee1180, I’ve found some your input useful as well…every one is going to have a different experience, different take; but we all will have similarities!

  • @NewInTownKB I love how clear cut and understanding you are! Your upbeat and positive outlook and experiences are very refreshing!! 🌸🌸

Thank you @Sheena123 …I’m finding that it is a much more effective way to look at and/or see things; trying to make it more of the norm than the exception 🙃

@NewInTownKB finally, someone who realizes that pissing off about nobody contacting you all the time actually lessens your chances , while being positive and friendly increases your chance of interest. It sometimes is as simple ass putting out the kind of energy you want to receive . Good on you , and good luck !

  • Look at you with the semicolon 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously though, "being genuine and understanding, while also being patient, is really all that it takes to have a great experience." You are completely correct!

@pmvines absolutely…you get what you give, right? Kinda works the same way…

@Cuddle_RN lol yeah, I do lean on them a bit I guess; but hey, I kinda like em, so it works for me 🤪 …thank you!

  • @NewInTownKB Hope you keep getting more cuddles! I'm making awesome friends here too!

@cylee1180 in time, perhaps. For now, I can’t complain at all! And looking forward to making friends now that I’ve entered the forum realm from the shadows 🤣

  • @NewInTownKB I'm sure everyone will be happy to befriend you!
